T-Mobile Reviews Summary

T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

Horrible experience. Big rip-off. They say one thing at the store, and then my bill ends up being a lot higher than what I was paying at AT&T. Going back to AT&T today. Don't fall for the scams that they promote.

Piss poor company
November 2, 2022

I switched from straight talk to t mobile. The worst mistake I ever made. Not only could they not get my phone to work but they issued a number for my wife's phone that I did not request. Then they want to charge me a full month for $210. Even though I have not been able to call or text. And I requested a cancellation 8 days after I got the phone plans. And now I can't log into my account and they can't help. Piss poor company. Stay away from these people.

I decided to switch from AT&T to T-Mobile thinking I would get a lower bill and better service. Jokes on me. I purchased 2 phones from a local T-Mobile store with the magenta max plan also the WiFi service. I was given a handful of lies about the plan and sent out the door with 1 of the phones being the wrong phone I requested to purchase. I wanted 2 iPhone pros with 256GB and I only got 1, the other phone was 128GB. I've contacted customer service several times about this issue and have also confronted the store manager who in a nutshell called me a liar and said he couldn't do anything about it.
It also turns out I never signed a contract. The sales associate forged my signature on the documents. I filed a complaint with the fraud department and have yet to hear from them. At this point I just want to cancel the entire service and go back to AT&T. Customer service says they can cancel my service but I would be responsible for the full price of the phones. I told them they could have the phones back and they said I couldn't return them because it's past the 14 day return period. That's not my fault I've been waiting days for the their fraud department to contact me with the forgery issue. I've been dealing with this for over a month and I'm done. I can't talk to anyone past a customer service representative and I'm getting know where. I just wanted T-Mobile to do the right thing and exchange the phone to the correct one.
I DO NOT recommend T-Mobile to anyone.

We started a plan with T. Mobile but were unable to get reception in our area. We had to cancel our agreement. We only had service for less than 24 hours. We received a bill the next week, were charged of $70. I called customer service and was expecting the same service that I have had with Verizon which is not good. I was surprised at how nice the interaction was. No long wait to get a real person who is in the USA. No issues to resolve the bill. I would like to be able to use T. Mobile as soon as their service is available to me.
Thanks again for the great service.

Had their service for 4 months. Wasted over $1000 in paying the bill that was promised at $160 then up to $190 and topped at $225 a month. As a fireman we need phones at times and they left me with NO service not even roaming in several areas. One spot I drove 20 min without any service. But like a fool I listened to their crap and kept them then I said I'm done with them and returned everything in the mail and got a good local service Thumb Cellar! Best choice ever and here I am 4 months and several hours later with over seas useless call center and providing my banking info for a refund cause paper checks don't exist for them and not gotten my $228. Lots of promises and same BS. People stay away! Do t do it. Buy a prepaid!

T mobile keeps charging me for stuff I didn't order. They billed me for service a month after I canceled and I got the final bill. There is no way to talk to a manager or supervisor. After 18 years with them I have been forced to close my account. WTF is going on with them?

It was determined after discussions with tech that my 5G T-Mobile router died. Tech physically located a router and sent me to a store 8 miles away. When I got there, there network was out system wide and although they had the router in stock, they would not accommodate by giving me the router, keep the box taking my info and log the exchange later when their systems came up. Instead I was forced to return home and wait until they called, then drive another 16 miles trip to get the router. Absolute nonsense that such a simple solution could not be implemented in order to save a long time customer hours of pain. Even complaining to a supervisor@ 611 would not resolve this. This has cost me a day of lost work and hours of pain. Fock you Tmobile, it's back to Cox for me.

Rip-off
October 31, 2022

Followed up on a T-Mobile offer to move my cellular account from AT&T to T-Mobile. I followed through and attempted to do that back at the end of July. It is now the end of October and after spending more than 25 hours on the phone will multiple various customer service agents and receiving multiple promises, like "my supervisor will call you back tomorrow," they never called me. I sent the phones back and have both UPS and T-Mobile confirmation of receipt. Now they're trying to charge me for $171.45. Spent another hour and a half on the phone with customer service and got no-where. Asked to speak with a supervisor and was told none were available to speak with me. Since I returned the phones, they have closed my account, and now say that they cannot make the financial adjustment on my account because it was cancelled. What a crock! I don't believe a word they utter. Their whole purpose is to take your money, even when they make the mistakes on their end and cause you to cancel your account for non-performance. I thought AT&T was bad, but these people are the worst!

It took 6 phone calls and a trip into the store and 2 months to get a $146 refund. A payment posted to my old T-Mobile account rather than my Sprint account and they would not transfer the funds. I was told a check would be mailed, then they asked for my banking info and said it would be refunded directly to my bank account then they finally mailed me a refund credit card to the WRONG ADDRESS! After a total of 7 points of contact and the fact that they actually still do business with me thru Sprint, they could not manage to use my current address. If I could offer less than 1 star, I would.

I am blowing the whistle on this abuse and fraud. I am going to the FCC to report how dismally they have managed the government funded lifeline service since they bought out Sprint and give poor people with disabilities and others in need dysfunctional phones that get worse then claim your three month warranty has expired and pay 39 dollars to get a replacement. I was in a wheelchair and have been the victim of hate crimes. T-Mobile is a bunch of hypocritical CEO big wigs running off with federal government money and laughing all the way to the bank. Tracphone, affiliated with SafeLink got the fraud whistle blown on them. These companies need to bow out or face the looming legal consequences of their fraud and taking advantage of programs and our federal tax dollars!

I ordered two phones and two new lines of service from T Mobile over the phone. I paid them 115.00 plus some change at the time. The phones were supposed to arrive in 2 business days. That would have been on Friday but there was no attempt to deliver anything to my address. I called the company, gave them my 6 digit pin number and was told there was a delay and my phone's would arrive on Monday. I also got the representative to email me my order number, tracking number and phone numbers since she couldn't text me the information because I didn't have a phone with TMobile. On Monday again there was no delivery so I checked the tracking number and the phones were being returned to 4he company. I called the company again abd was told the 6 digit pin I gave them was incorrect and they could not access my information. The exact same pin I used on Friday was now not valid. They told me my only alternative was to go into the store and have the clerk at the store contact customer support and they would then be able to access my account. So I drove the 30 miles to the store on Wednesday and after a very long time with customer support I was told that all I could do was cancel the order and get a refund. I was originally told the refund would come in 3 to 5 business days but after the 5th day I called and was told it would be 7 to 10 business days. Well now we are beyond 10 business days and I still don't have a refund and no phones or phone service because my phone money is tied up somewhere else. How can I get my money back?

Harassment
October 28, 2022

What ever you do DO NOT give any information when on their website when trying to check plans and prices. They will call 3 times every 1/2 hour after 6pm even after requesting being put on their no call list. I have even texted them and told them to stop. 100% harassment!

Bought insurance and paid for it for 5 years just in case I needed it. Well I lost my phone and after being on the phone for over 22 hours it still isn't resolved. This company has Zero customer service and certainly doesn't know how to make a customer happy. I also have a plan for 100 phone for my business and taking all my business elsewhere. This company is a total piece of crap. All over not standing by their own insurance plan and talking to 10 different people is totally unbelievable. They don't deserve even one star.

BUYER BEWARE
October 27, 2022

Changed to T Mobile service via phone sales. NEVER AGAIN! I took precise notes as to the plan cost, benefits, phone trade in value and added perks. I felt good about the purchase until I got the phone and the numerous emails after. One email was about the trade on value of my phone -NOTHING LIKE I WAS QUOTED! I pushed back and was told to disregard that email. I don't trust them at all at this point. The cost of the new phone and plan was different each time I spoke to another rep (3 total). Plus it turns out I didn't qualify for any of the perks that in my mind would offset my costs!
ONCE AGAIN phone companies financially penalize single line account holders!

They will tell you about all these promotions and the prices and then when you get the first bill it's not what they promised. Then when you call them they act like it was the store's fault like they are not all one company and play the "it's not us game". It's all a gimmick to see if you get tired of calling and just pay more than what I was paying at AT&T. AT&T is way better. Their data is faster and customer service never played blame games. Don't even try TMobile no matter how good it sounds. Trust me!

Fact that i live in 2 states causes me to find new internet carrier every 6 months unless i am willing to pay the ever increasing vacation charge or installation charge. T-mobile 's 5G wireless internet with no cable/wire installation charge would be an excellent idea only IF they have services in both your locations. They would put their transceiver on relay tower only if they find enough subscribers in vicinity. Naturally their corporate & franchise stores lie about it. At initial sign up, they never mentioned PIN/username which is birth year twice. You can only cancel by calling online, their agent would ask for your PIN as first roadblock. By the time you got fact clear with local store, few days would passed. Calling again, their online agent greets you politely & said case done & to expect email on return equipment scan code to print out for UPS sent to you. That's a lie, after two repeated calls with different agents with no received email, I filed complaint with BBB. Then T-mobile special agent cancelled my account immediately though my original request was a month later till my migration. I still got no email from him on equipment return bar code. Till i threatened with further BBB complaint, he sent me one & case is closed. When i inquired on transportability of 5G receiver to diff states having service, the special agent was frank to warn me that unlimited data(typical 1TB by peers)is applicable to home address where account is open. Thus end of hope that T-mobile 5G is state portable. I SHALL NOT USE T-MOBILE IF SUCH PRACTICE PERSIST. Just a good Samaritan

I changed jobs and lost my AT&T discount. I figured I'd give T-Mobile a try since AT&T was a little more expensive and I thought T-Mobile would be comparable since they merged with Sprint. I guess the saying "you get what you pay for" is true because I didn't realize how good I had it with AT&T. My phone cuts out constantly, gets less service and is significantly slower now that I'm with T-Mobile. I'm so upset I changed carriers. In this day and age there's no reason why a cellular provider doesn't have consistent coverage. I'd really think twice if you're thinking of going with T-Mobile.
