T-Mobile's reputation is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from perceived deceptive practices regarding promotions and service quality. Many customers report issues with billing, unresponsive customer service, and difficulties in resolving problems, leading to frustration and a sense of betrayal. While some reviews acknowledge initial satisfaction with service and product offerings, the overwhelming sentiment reveals a trend of distrust and disappointment, particularly concerning support after the sale. This feedback suggests a pressing need for T-Mobile to enhance its customer service approach and better honor promotional commitments to rebuild trust and retain customers.

So we were TMobile forced we had Sprint 2.5 years ago T Mobile forced us to change phones and go from sprint Sim to T Mobile Sim cards our phones were CDMA capable and with T Mobile that's a no go. Fast forward to current year and day T Mobile has yet again messed up the phone number on a business mobile number when my number was ported out of Verizon it got messed up 20yrs ago so when T Mobile forced the phone Sim change it took 5 months to get it fixed last night Julio from T Mobile CEO office called me about my number he says we know you have 2 more phones and internet on your account but coverage is your phone issue really I have like 7 lines and my number is coverage issue? How dumb do you think I am
First off they sell me 5G service and give me a 3G phone... I had no clue for the first 3 months, but then when I asked about slow speeds, they wanted to sell me a really pricey phone. I chose to direct source my phone and then after getting a 5G device, the internet starts having issues. They blamed my device, they said I had a bad SIM card, they said a tower was being updated in my area... 1 tower in my area needs service and for some reason it hasn't been fixed in over 9 months? They will lie, they will hang up on you, they will ask the same questions over and over until you realize nobody gives a $#*! about helping you, they just want their payments!
Be careful and check your T-Mobile bill every month. We were billed $30 a month for "Protection 360" (anti virus) which we never ordered for 2 phones. We were charged a month to month lease of $30 for 2 phones that had been paid off when it was Sprint. We were charged $9.99 for "Lookout Premium Plus GSM (identity theft) that we never ordered. That's almost $70 a month they cheated us! Never trust this company!
I had t mobile, the phone I had there had a chip problem with it. There was no fix for it, and I didn't have good service. So I cancelled and went else where. I paid my final bill, sent my phone back. Everything was documented, that I owed nothing. Now they want 150.00. No one can tell me why. I went to the t mobile store. Amy looked everything up, called customer service. Telling customer service that I owe nothing. It was all in writing in front of Amy. Customer service hung up on Amy. I would never deal with this company ever. Not that it will do much. I'm turning them in to the BBB. Also see what small claims court can do. Very mismanaged company. I'm getting copy's of everything showing I paid my bill in full tomorrow. And I will post pic then.
I've been a faithful customer of T-Mabe for a few years lately the service is horrible. People are calling me and texting me and I'm not receiving them and vice versa
18 months ago I fell for the T Mobile "switch to us and we will give you a free 'phone" promotion. Firstly the phone is not free. I pay $36 / month for the phone for 2 years - so that is about $800. When I agreed to the 2 year contract the sales person told me that the phone was insured against all perils throughout that period. Today I learned that to be false. I use the device only as a phone. Very seldom does it go on-line. Pretty much it remains on my desk unless I go in the car, - then I carry it. Gradually the battery has failed. Now I have to charge it every day even when not used. I called T Mobile customer service to have the battery replaced. You are not insured they tell me, and the warranty is 12 months so that has expired. "Don't worry though, we can get you into a new phone". I disconnected the call.
During the life of my phone, T Mobile has installed many apps, none of which I use. I did install one app myself, it was to identify weeds in my garden. They recently contacted my phone to say lets clean the phone. They did not want to remove the hundreds of apps that they had installed they wanted to remove the one app that I had installed. They have lost me for ever!
Had these jockers for over 2 years.
Hardly anything good to say about them.
The most unreliable coverage, their customer service reps are utterly clueless.
They will sign you up to plans T mobile doesn't have.
When they throttle you back ( aka prioritization) they will literally cut you off from dara/ internet.
Their " unlimited plans" are just a lie, T mobile doesn't have " unlimited data plans" - none!
Their app is as useless as they are, you can't connect to get your account information.
" service unavailable " is more than a common error message you'll get trying...
Their reps ( overseas of course) care only about the reviews they are asking you to write at the end of every single phone conversation with them.
In short, just a bunch of lying scammers disguised as a reputable business.
I give them negative five stars, not even the one! They have the audacity to send me a bill for $3.17 AFTER I paid the last bill in full, even though my service has NOT worked for SEVEN MONTHS, of dropped calls and callers can't hear me, but I can hear them! NOTHING is wrong with my phone or my setting, that they tried to convince me of for SEVEN MONTHS. I finally left in the middle of a billing cycle and paid for the full month (when service was THE WORST EVER!) Now, I am with Visible - my monthly charge is HALF of what they were charging me and my calls are ALL going through and not cutting off, like their service was doing. Don't ever use T-MOBILE cell phone service!
Stay away from them. I canceled my service 2 days before my auto pay was due they sent a bill for $26. I guess canceling fee. Now it's up to $67. I filed a dispute with credit karma.
My Iphone has a mid board failure & Apple wants me to pay a $700.00 Deposit in order to get a express replacement phone! Or second option wait 2 to 3 weeks to get a replacement all the while I can't work do to the fact my job requires the use for a phone! Option 3 Drive an hour & a half to hope they have the option to repair it while if so they have an exact match to my present phone! If not apparently im out of luck. The customer care in both corporate titans are absolutely horrible and In my opinion should be fined for selling bad products and not honoring there own own insurance policies! This review doesn't fix anything by the way so please don't assume it does! They have poor business practices and are absolutely terrible people!
They got me to sign up with T-Mobile by offering to reimburse me for paying off my phones with another carrier. Their on-line reimbursement system would not work. They will not honor the agreement now because it's been more than 30 days! It's completely their fault.
I switched from Verizon to t mobile and never got switch and save money, I've been waiting for over 2 years, called multiple times, provided them with everything they asked for, still never got that money. Definitely switching back to Verizon.
One year ago my wife and I switched from ATT telephone carrier to T-Mobile and from Windstream Kinetic Internet Service to T-Mobile Internet. We regret both changes. For early September 2022, T-Mobile internet was great averaging 100 MPS; by late September it was half that or less, and by mid-October, it was averaging the same as our recent Windstream Kinetic, 6 MPS with increasingly more and more times when we had no internet. We returned the T-Mobile router and discontinued their internet in early November and signed up with Spectrum which our neighbors liked a lot, and now so do we.
Telephone service has been adequate until recently, with occasional dead spots like the parking lot of the St. Lukes Hospital Infusion Center where I go weekly. This past month telephone service has gotten much worse with frequent messages "Not Registered With Service" when I try to call from home and other locations.
WHY? Last October when I spoke to a T-Mobile technician about my declining internet speeds, he confirmed that the service was oversubscribed. I suppose that is what is happening to their telephone service now. They just opened a new T-Mobile store in our small town, just a few miles away from several other such stores. We have two new phones as of a year ago which won't be paid off for another year so we can't change carriers without paying heir very high retail price for those phones.
Stay away from T Mobile until they get their together!
I switched over to tmobile thinking i was getting a deal but the hidden add ons and "fees" make it double from my previous carrier.
I have had a phone with Sprint for over 12 years. And now Tmoble they add costs which out not in my contract. And when you call about it they are nasty! And say tuff luck charely! Contract is up a few months and will go to another phone company! Boycot tmoble
If you're thinking about getting T-Mobile's home internet plan, do NOT! I have had it for a few months now and it only works a QUARTER of the time. On good days I can easily get 60-80 mbps download but most of the time. It is less than 1. Right now as I am typing this, the download is 0.07 mbps. I use my phones data more than my wifi and I have basically given up on using my computer for work and school. It is a waste of time and money. The customer service is the WORST, too. I called about the problem SEVERAL times and get half-assed responses until I just have to hang up. I stayed on the phone once for an hour with a woman and she came to the conclusion that it was a hardware issue they have never encountered before. Load of bull, I said, but whatever. She said that they would call me back within 3 days to discuss getting a new modem. It has been 2 weeks now. $#*! company, $#*! service, $#*! $#*! $#*!. I beg of you PLEASE don't waste your money on this. Go to Spectrum instead, I know I am. I would rate it lower than one star if I could.
Hello:
I have been a T-Mobile customer for 10 years; I have 6 business lines with them.
When I signed up with them, they were wonderful; the service was great and reliable, but during the past 3 years, their service and reliability have been diminishing.
In so many occasions, the phone calls does not go though even though we are testing our own phones; the phones do not ring and the callers are directed to voice mail; voice mails are not notified for as long as 3 days.
Today I had a very important call which I took the day off just so to be able to receive the call. 12 minutes past the due time, I received an email that they had called me and it had directed them to voice mail. I was looking at my phone the whole time. This was the straw that broke the cannel's back, and now I am searching for substitute to my business elsewhere.
Sincerely,
Michael
My number was moved to my bf's account and they keep charging. Sending me to their store where I had already spent 4 hours while upgrading my phone, additional hour to get a SIM card they forgot to put in the phone. Free Netflix should come with our plan, they conveniently forgot to offer it. They should merge with Comcast because it's the same level of professionalism.
Absolute garbage, save your money, you'll never get decent service or customer care. Had Sprint, GARBAGE, but T-Mobile beat them. Had Sprint, end of contract, requested to be transferred to T-Mobile. Assured I was now with T-Mobile, NOOOOO, still contracted with Sprint and had to do 2 more years with their trash services. I vowed I would change companies when the contract was up. Contract was up in April 2023, waited to August to change providers do to a move, damage to my house in a store, etc. Enduring crappy service, dropped calls, people thinking I had hung up on them when it was the phone. Phone loosing connection, on and on and on. I have rather chopped off a finger then have to call their customer service to get help because it was going to take DAYS to get it fixed.
Besides crappy cell service... They don't pro-rate when you switch providers. They will charge you the full bill if you used 1 day or 29 days into the new billing cycle. Of course, you are just supposed to know that. When I called to cancel service, they wanted to hear nothing but when I would be paying for this month's service at the full rate to close the account. Of course, the rep felt that I should have just known that they don't pro-rate. "It's an industry standard" he says... It took me a week to just get into my Sprint, now T-Mobile account to get the information I need to switch providers. The rep from T-Mobile promised to call me back on a Thursday, or in two days and I would be able to get into my account…but low and behold he got back to me the next week. So had to wait an extra week to activate my new phones through another provider. $$$ They want your money...but they don't want to have to provide anything for it. If I was not a person who paid my bill, I could understand this behavior, but I pay two weeks in advance every month... I now understand why my boss dumped T-Mobile for his company... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS GARBAGE CELL SERVICE!
Their call center would not work with me at all, saying I owe a full payment of $354.20 which is a full payment from Sprint never missed a payment since 2013 being with them I have proof and all records and they will not take in consideration of even having them sent to them to look at them or my bank accounts that they have deposited my money every and each month, so how could I owe them a full payment and they're stating it's from, the month of June June, June, July for one why is there three June's and they're stating it's when they merged 100% with T-mobile which I did not ask for that I don't like to be forced to do something to. They're charging me basically what I feel like to be forced into something, I don't owe this payment they're not even understanding or working with me at all. They're stealing my money is what they're doing. Do not recommend T-mobile at all they're on faithful and honest, unreliable, $#*!s every and each one of them from Sunday to Wednesday each day hours, and hours on the phone with everyone could not get nothing done waste of my time. $#*!s.!
Answer: Take the cheapest, clunkiest, most useless data coverage you can imagine. Now imagine it not even working. You pay for something that is USELESS.
Answer: This is typical of t-mobile. It will not let me leave a review.
Answer: T-Mobile will let you keep your old number... IF IT IS AVAILABLE. I do not know the requirements or rules, but years ago, I was allowed to keep a number I had had for years past.
Answer: See, your other customers see the same thing. In plain words, you suck ass.
Answer: Better Business Bureau is the only way to force an american to talk to you
