The website is incredibly easy to navigate and very straightforward. It is professional and I felt reassured from the start that everything was legit and above-board. I wanted to fly Lufthansa, and I was a little worried that they wouldn't have anything with that airline, but Student Universe had MULTIPLE options on my flight days! The deals that their team found were incredible- I think I saved over $500 on a roundtrip ticket to Europe!
Prices were $500 cheaper than anwhere else, customer service was extremely helpful with questions about flight connections and checked baggage. For my first time using Student Universe, I will absolutely be using it in the future!

Even when paying extra for a flexible ticket, Studentuniverse is anything but flexible. Any slight changes will cost ridiculous amounts of money on top of a $50 StudentUniverse fee (even for a flexible ticket).
Spend your money buying tickets directly from the airline, at least you get decent customer service in return.
Edit: there was a flex option added. This is not the first time I'm encountering problems with your company. Please take to heart what hundreds of people are saying about your customer service. Maybe then you can start to improve your company.

Please do not purchased any flight ticket through this company, the customer service is literally the worst I have ever experience. Couple agents gave me a series of stories in terms of delaying the process of refund, empty promise on the call back/follow up. Ridiculous sad, I won't recommend anyone to fly from them!
I recently booked a flight from California to Hong Kong through StudentUniverse.com, and I must say I'm thoroughly impressed with their service. Great prices and a good calendar flexible dates for people's experience. I didn't even get a single check-in bag for my trip, for a 1700$ trip... It would have been great if there was at least one check-in bag included in the ticket.

Booked international travel through online portal ( redirected from google search). The confirmation did not appeared on airline app ( may be we could not wait even 24 hours from initial booking time and became anxious). Called customer service and the representative on the call swiftly resolved it and ensured while still on the call that booking confirmation is show on airline site. Excellent.
I almost never write negative reviews. But awhile back while traveling on a very tight budget, i accidentally booked a flight for a day later than i needed. With a 10 day notice on a cheap domestic flight, i surely thought id be able to change it. But, student universe responded with "we're sorry we can't help you because your ticket is restricted." Had i booked the same ticket directly with the airline, i would have been able to change it no problem. There were 10+ options for the same flight each day. When i asked customer service to elaborate on who's policy it was, they literally responded with the same thing! I would give this zero stars if i could because this organization is lazy and unhelpful.
Hi Landon, sorry you felt that way. Some airlines publish different types of fares and usually cheaper ones mean more restrictions in terms of flight change, flight cancellation and etc. Unfortunately, your ticket is one of these - partially used ticket and non-changeable and non-refundable. We follow the airlines guidance regarding change/cancellation policies.
My son has had a ticket for weeks for international travel. The departure city has changed once. The departure date and time has changed three times and all three show at Studentuniverse as if they are active, i. E., one does not overwrite or negate the old itinerary. Was shocked when he received a message today claiming his departure was over three hours ago, not midday tomorrow as on the itinerary we have in front of us. The airlines appear to agree with us. In fact, the flight number on the latest shocker itinerary does not exist at the airline. Guess we'll go to the airport tomorrow and hope for the best. Held on the phone for an hour and "time since you placed your call" just kept getting pushed back every 10 minutes or so. Would not ever use them again and will let the travel agent who recommended them know.
