The person was nice and gave me information. Most places give a 24 hour cancellation now, very disappointing. I paid for a refundable ticket and then later found out there is another one and you have to pay for two to get a truly refundable ticket. With Kayak or others you can get your booking and pay jto upgrade your seat right away, here you can not. Seats are selling out all the time now, extra legroom seats. Thank you

The most unprofessional travel agency I've ever seen. Such an useless service provider, No web portal to make any amendment or changes and if we phone either you cannot get to them and if you get you have to wait. Their email assistance is such a disaster. I wouldn't recommend anyone to book via this platform. Poor Service. Don't waste your time and money booking through this platform.

I am aware that our average hold time is under 5 minutes for the last month or so, I would like to understand more about your wait time and when you called as this is out of the ordinary. I can also see that we responded to your email within 24 hours of receiving it which I personally wouldnt refer to as disastrous. I bought a flight ticket that explicitly was saying that I had a 23kg bag allowed. I payed for the ticket, got a confirmation email saying that I had the 23kg bag, so far, normal. Then, 5 minutes later I received another email of my itinerary but now saying that I was not allowed the 23kg bag. This is totally unacceptable.

Cheap flights for the route and seamless booking experience
I bought a ticket for a minor - entered in her bday to find and purchase the ticket - and I was sold a ticket for an adult. I called student universe to fix this and they said they can't change or refund my ticket. This was within 8 hours, well within the legal 24 hr time window that you must be able to return a ticket in. Despite telling them this, speaking with multiple reps, multiple phone calls, they still would not give us a refund for the ticket even though we couldn't even use it AND it was within 24 hours of purchase. This is illegal. I will never be using student universe again.
Hi Cheryl, thanks for your review. From the date of birth entered I can see in the booking an adult ticket was correctly booked. Children's tickets are for ages 2-11 inclusive. With regard to the 24 hour policy for cancellations, this rule is applicable for bookings with the airline directly and not via third party travel agents. The ticket is definitely still able to be used. If you still wish to cancel because you found another cheaper ticket elsewhere you can let us know but we will need to follow the agreed upon fare rules. Kind regards, Brad
We are two 19 year old girls whose flights details got changed in the process of booking of which now can't stick two and they are doing nothing to help, they are leaving us stranded in another country or want to charge us $4000 each to change our flight. This company is disgraceful and completely unhelpful. Would never book through them again and wouldn't recommend to anyone.
Hi Amy, thanks for our review. I have checked the booking and unfortunately the dates we have booked were what was requested when the flights ere paid for. The price to fix this is mostly made up of fare difference, the month you wish to move to is much more expensive than the flights currently booked. Without paying this difference to the airline we are unable to change the flight. If you wish to cancel I can authorise the team to waive the agency fee but the airline fee still would apply. I paid extra for seats on one segment. When I checked KLM's web site to reserve seats for the remaining segments my account read that I did not have seats even though I paid $52.50 for 2 seats. The same seats on KLM's web site cost $24.20. I paid $24.20 in addition to $52.50. I contacted customer service at StudentUniverse. I was told to email a request. I emailed 5/5/25. I have never received a reply and its 5/7/25 now.
Due to circumstances beyond my control I had to come home early for my mum's funeral and you said I'm am not entitled to a refund.
I tried multiple times to purchase a flight from PIT to SYD and it would not work with the NSW25 code. I did everything the promo code rules stated, but everytime I tried purchasing a flight with the code it would not work. I tried for the past four days at different times, on different devices, at some point I just needed to buy the flight and thus was not able to use the code.
So far so good on booking. But I hope nothing is going to change in terms of scheduling. I will use this site again if all is well. So far, I love it.
I think this may have been a mistake, but I was overcharged about $100. While it is still cheaper than what it would've normally costed, I was under the impression I'd save $100 more than what I ended up paying. If this gets resolved I would happily rate the service 4/5. I really wanted to book a flight via student universe because of the "NSW25" promotion they are currently running; however, when I go to buy my flight I continue to get "An error occurred while we were trying to book your itinerary. Please try again." I called customer service 2x and they were no help because they can only help you if you have already booked a flight. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was DENIED for that same reasoning. If I want to book a flight with your website, wouldn't you want to HELP a customer out?! I've tried booking this flight Friday, Saturday, and now Sunday, still getting the same errors. Im FURIOUS!
