Stripe took my money

Stripe closed my account and no one no why.
I have a balance of $4500, I made 10 appeals, I sent 100 emails, and they told me that they will not pay me out these $4500...?

How can a company even say that they will not return my money? If you want to close my account, ok close it, but pay me out!

Because I shiped the products to my customers, so my customers have their orders, and I don't have the money paid for these orders, how a business can survive then?

And now what I did, I issued a refund to 15 of my customers, because it's better that my customers have their money and product than Stripe, and 5 refunds went succesfull, but other 10 are in "refund pending due to inufficient funds", and this is not true of course because even after 15 issued refunds, I have still a positive balance of $700, now Stripe don't want to give money to me and don't want to issue refunds to my customers.

This is a crime, Stripe is the worst company that ever existed, they are a SCAM company

How can a business survive if they don't receive their money for the orders customers made on their website? How? It's immpossible.

Stripe don't know that I am a person that will do WHATEVER IT TAKES to receive my money, I said WHATEVER, and I will receive my money.

I am writing this review because I don't want that any person ever use Stripe anymore, I don't want this to happen to anyone ever again. Stripe is a scam, and my wish for Christmas 2023 is them to not exist anymore, they need to dissapear from this planet.

Stripe is HORRIBLE! AVOID THEM AT ALL COST!

Their policy is RIDICULOUS! We use PayPal and as a second choice, Strype is the only option for us. I have used Stripe for several years but it has always been a nightmare.

We have had our store for over 8 years and hardly ever have issues with our customers. Most people who order from us are good people, but once in a while we get some bad apples.

Stripe customer service is awful and I'm telling you, use Stripe only if you want heaches. It is almost impossible to get a hold of anyone and when you finally get someone on their chat or over the phone (if you are very lucky) they do nothing to help a business. They simply don't care!

A new customer filed a dispute with her credit card, even though she received the goods. The item she purchased has worked for everyone. She never made an attempt to reach out to us for help, even though we have our email and phone number on our website.

When you use Stripe, the moment ANYONE files a dispute, for ANY reason, Stripe policy is to pull out the amount they paid for the item PLUS a substantial amount for the charge back the second the customer files the dispute. How is that even possible?

I understand that if a business is unresponsive or a business do not provide evidence. However, why would you take out what was paid for AND $30 something dollars for the dispute fee without giving the opportunity to the business to prove their case?

PayPal is bad, but at least they allow business to follow up and provide evidence when a case is filled. At least PayPal pretends to care. Stripe gives business ZERO opportunities when it comes to dispute transactions.

PLEASE READ REVIEWS ONLINE OF MULTIPLE BUSINESSES COMPLAINING ABOUT THEIR POLICY. I'm so irritated that what I finally got to chat with a Stripe representative she is like "that's our policy" "there is nothing I can do."

I will post this anywhere I can online so everyone knows about your stupid, nonsense policy.

Stripe:- what is there not to like?

They let you open the door to your business, they sit at the front door, and take all your payments.

My business runs mostly on tourists, so we are struggling, we need to think outside the box and be innovative. So we tried Stripe, we can connect with our customer base, and maybe new ones. So we are doing ok, money comes in and is spent fulfilling the transaction.

Ok, lets think back to when you were at school, you remember the school bully, he stood at the gate and took your dinner money. Then when dinner time comes there is no money, so there is no dinner.

Well I am feeling like that now. I left school in 1968 and last week the bully came back.

I am astonished by how they have taken my money. I feel I am being mugged every time I look in my Stripe Dashboard and see they have refunded all of an account. None of my customers have even raised an eyebrow let alone an issue. Then another day, another account refunded, no reason, no irate customers. And then another, and yesterday a fourth one emptied.

So the bully is still at the school gate, will he leave when all of my almost £******* has gone, probably, because he will come and stand at your gate next.

Just imagine, you hire a new till and a till operator, to help your business. He comes along and takes the payments as customers pay, he smiles and takes the money. Then, after being there for a few days, he has gone and so has the till. So you call him and say can I have my money please? His reply? Sorry but my name is Stripe, when you hired us there was some small print and it says we can do what we like with YOUR money.

What is wrong with this world. My customers are happy. They do not need a contract and small print and boxes of stars to tick for good service. They are our customers, we are honest, my word is good. If there is an issue we fix it, we look after our customers.

I am not of this new age, of corporate miss-management, where lawyers write pages of incomprehensible terms and conditions.

Sadly I just thought they were honest, because they are a financial business. It is surely a prerequisite of a financial business that they are honest, moral and have a dash of integrity? Well it seems not to be so.

Ok my mistake, you can now lie and cheat your customers, because you put that in the small print.

Is that how they sleep at night? It's in the terms and conditions they should have read it properly.!

Don't EVER use this company. Doing so will put your business and your systems at risk. No chargebacks and no complaints and a prosperous 2 year relationship equates to your organization being shutdown and only having 5 days to find another payment provider, offload all of your accounts, card information (which they don't let you export), subscriptions, deposit and payout history and the like for hundreds (possibly thousands of accounts--depending upon your size). They have NO phone support. Their blog article and claim to phone support is a lie. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a vendor. Beware. Go to Paymentcloud or SpotOn or Square. I now have less than 5 days to move over all of my customer profiles, payment information, subscriptions and products, deposit and payout history and the like. That's hundreds upon hundreds of accounts!

We're a local Technology Consulting company offering in-house services to our clients. If you do ANYTHING in IT -- this is NOT the Merchant for you.

If my story and the stories on the internet are any indication as to this companies baseless accusations and carlessness for your respect and business--this is NOT the Merchant for ANYONE.

They are dishonest (no chat--no phone number). Oh. You think because of their lying blog article you get phone support when logged in? Nope. Dishonest. Check 1. Too large to care about your micro-business or small business. Check 2. Slow response and unwillingness to provide substantial information or work with you to come up with a viable solution. Check 3. Useless. Run. Run far, far away.

I am writing this review with a sense of urgency and a plea for the government to take immediate action. It is imperative that they hold Stripe accountable for their failure to protect companies from fraudulent activities. This review aims to shed light on the critical need for stricter regulations to prevent and combat fraud in the business landscape.

Stripe's alarming negligence and disregard for basic security measures have become glaringly evident. Their inability to identify and block obvious fraudulent transactions, such as accepting payments of 9999 EUR for non-existent products, is an indication of a systemic flaw in their processes. Despite receiving over 1 million card requests within a specific time period, Stripe failed to reject numerous fraudulent payments of only $1. Such lapses expose countless businesses to financial losses and reputational damage. In response, we have taken the necessary step of filing a report with the police in Denmark to address this fraudulent activity.

It is deeply troubling that the banks involved in the fraudulent SEPA payments have requested us to ask Stripe to contact them for fund recovery, but Stripe has refused to do so.

Furthermore, the lax response from Stripe regarding the recovery of funds from fraudulent SEPA payments is deeply troubling. By refusing to contact the banks involved and failing to take decisive action, Stripe is effectively leaving businesses vulnerable and unable to seek redress. This inaction is an affront to the trust placed in them as a payment service provider.

It is incumbent upon the government to intervene and ensure that companies like Stripe are held to higher standards in protecting businesses. Strengthening regulations and oversight mechanisms will create a safer environment, safeguarding the interests of companies and fostering economic growth.

I urge the government to conduct a thorough review of Stripe's operations, assessing their compliance with existing regulations and implementing stricter measures where necessary. Additionally, it is crucial to collaborate with industry experts and financial institutions to develop robust fraud prevention strategies and frameworks.

In conclusion, I implore the government to take immediate action to address the systemic issues surrounding Stripe's negligence in preventing fraud. By implementing comprehensive measures, increasing oversight, and promoting accountability, we can create an environment where companies can thrive without falling victim to preventable fraudulent activities.

Stripe is the worse company ever, Please think twice before getting their services, you get no protection from them and you will lose alot of money for trusting them.

I have been selling since 2009. I have been using paypal all the time until I decided to give a stripe a chance. For many months everything was going great.

On 2017, I received about 907 payments on paypal and about 175 on stripe. One day I received a payment for $153 from a customer from Italy. I checked on stripe system and the payment seems to be fine. I even waited one week to ship the items. I shipped out 10 items worth $80.6 weeks later the customer reported the transaction as fraudulent. So ridiculous to think a normal human being do not bother to check their bank account.
In less than 24 hours stripe withdrawn the money from my bank account. I tried to respond to such chargeback and stripe lame system would not let me upload any pictures. I tried chroome and firefox. I tried two different computer and still not able to add those pictures to my "case". I contacted striped and demanded answers as they claim their system is safe for payment processing, That is totally FALSE and people can pay with stolen credit cards and stripe won't bother to send any alert. The last customer support rep I chatted with said This conversion is not productive and closed the chat. When you confront them, they still stop communicating with you. At least paypal has phone customer support and you can talk to a live person and they willl help you with the charge back. Stripe do not assume any responsibility. All they say is they can not fix or help and you have to deal with the bank. What bank if you do not get any info of the bank where the charge back was filled from.

So I lost the charge $ 153 plus stripe charged me $15 for a feee and $ 80 of my merchandise. The scammer must be laughing and how easy they scammed me.

Go with paypal or square. They are decent companies and they are least care about thier customers.

Stripe offers ZERO protection to sellers. I am a small seller and can not afford to give away my merchandise just because stripe is not doing their homework. Their system is weak and not safe at all.

Me siento importante y estafado.
Me siento importante totalmente ante estas personas. Hoy decimos poner una queja ante la FCT y BBB, porque hace mas de una semana están verificando mi cuenta. El servicio de soporte fatal, 13 emails hasta el momento y dos llamadas telefónica y cada vez es alguien diferente mas perdido que el anterior. Un solo chico pudo asistirme y explicarme que pasaba. Mi negocio es médico y un negocio pequeño, lo verificaron hace 3 años, nunca hemos tenido una disputa, pero stripe decidió declarar mi negocio de alto riesgo. Hemos colaborado en todo lo que pidieron. Pero el tiempo es largo. El daño a nuestro negocio ya es irreversible. Aunque estamos buscando nuevas opciones de pago evidentemente nos tomara tiempo configurar un sistema de 3 años. Es abusivo lo de stripe. Evitarles sí pueden.

Aclarar a la respuesta de stripe, que no somos una plataforma de videoconsulta, somos un doctor privado, con servicios de medicina general, videoconsulta y demas. Por favor si responden por lo menos tómense el tiempo de verificar a que empresa le responden.
Ademas al ver comentarios anteriores parece que es practica habitual de stripe atacar pequeñas empresas.

I've had an absolutely horrible experience with Stripe. They suddenly shut down my account, held all of my funds for over two weeks, and still haven't provided any clear explanation or valid reason for their decision. They claimed they would refund all of my customers, but I've received zero updates about which transactions were refunded or when. Meanwhile, I'm left dealing with angry, confused clients and a total lack of transparency from Stripe. What's worse is that I've sent multiple emails with no response at all. Their support is completely unhelpful and impossible to get real answers from. As a business owner, this kind of treatment is unacceptable. Stripe has caused major damage to my business and reputation, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone serious about running a company.
