I woke up to 3 transactions of $100 a piece from this website today. I have contacted my bank and shut down the card, and. Ow have to dispute every transaction. Looking on here, I see it's been an ongoing issue. BEWARE!
I have never purchased games before, so not sure how they got my card details, but have added charges to my account was $80, luckily the credit card company rang me straight away, and cancelled my card.
Makes me very frustrated to think a company can still get away with this, I feel sorry for the people that didn't realise until it was too late.
They stole from me Rs. ******* plus... I'm physically challenged Indian who works hard to earn a living. I have nothing to do with their site... I have filed a complaint against them and I hope anti cyber crime department is able to stop these miscreants. Do they think they can be happy stealing money from people like this?
Steam is always my first choice to purchase games, because it almost never has problems and discounts are frequent. However the launcher feels slow, it takes longer than other launcher to boot.
I have never heard of SteamGames. I do not game. They have taken over $100 out of my bank account. Luckily I caught it quickly and my bank will give me the money back.
Watch out for this fraudulent company on you bank accounts... these people need to get real jobs!
Steam always have BETA games on their launcher that never make it to release. So you purchase a game that is in development and it shut downs in 30 days. You just wasted your money. Steam does not refund you the money back because you pass a hourly threshold of gameplay.
Do not bother with Steam or any games on Steam. If a game developer uses both a standalone launcher and Steam, go with their standalone. You will save yourself from getting headaches trying to get into the game.
Steam has games that i purchased where a download of a third party platform was needed and also the creation of a third party account there by creating more crap for identity thiefs to find.
Steam scammed me in that way more than once. I am using Steam and with some games a third party installed and platform is running in the back ground too. It's bad enough Steam uses a bunch on steam.exe processes in the task manager.

For a while last year, I bought games on Steam a lot. Like, A LOT lot. Frequent discounts practically made sure of this. Spent endless hours in front of my PC instead of going outside. That changed thankfully, but really has nothing to do with the quality of Steam services.
Anyway, the selection of available titles is massive and customer service is fairly decent: I had no problems returning a game I bought after it turned out my PC was unable to run it. I try to stay away from games nowadays, but, yeah, STeam is pretty solid.
I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about. I haven't experienced any unwanted charges from my card although I purchase things on Steam through paypal not directly from my card. Older games are on sale very often so its easy to get some games for cheap and you can easily search for free games which are usually pretty good.
I have purchased about 10 games from steam and the service makes it easy to download your games to any Pc and save your game progress. Just remember your passwords their security is tight and resetting passwords can be a pain! The only time I have had real difficulty with steam was Christmas Day, when I would guess the servers were overwhelmed with black ops downloads!
Love Steam, the only way to play & buy video games these days. You will get mad discounts and I've seen games as cheap as 50 cents. I've bought literally hundreds of games and never had a problem. 10/10
Steam Games charged my credit Card 7 times for 100.00 each for a total of 700.00. I am not a member of Steam Games nor have I ever been. I have never even heard of Steam Games until they defrauded my Visa Card. I have discovered this company has a long history of Credit Card Fraud but somehow is still allowed to operate and steal indiscriminately
If you have been defrauded by Steam Games, as many have, you need to file a Credit Card Fraud complaint with your local FBI Field Office and with your local law Enforcement. I am also notifying the U.S. Attorney's office. These people are the worst kind of criminals that defraud with no regard to the damage they are doing to peoples lives. They are disgusting and need to be shut down immediately.
This company put 5 charges through on my debit card for 37.88 each. Three of the charges came through as credits, but 2 did not. I immediately called my bank and got the credit for the other two. Since the 2 are still pending, am hoping they can just deny it. This is outright fraud. I have never heard of this company before I got charged. Don't know how they got my info, but this is clearly a scam.
I use steam daily for playing games and own 300+ games on steam. The best part about steam is there are many free to play games and apart from them the prices are low, with a steam sale which happens almost 5 times in a year you can get a game for fraction of its original price.
I didn't get anything from this company, but my card got several charges from them. Thanks God my bank track down all those illegal transactions. One time is a mistake but there are many claims about this company, be careful with them
(Review is based on features from the launcher, NOT specifically the website) The platform is one of the best non-DRM services out there, and I can get my hands on games that I would otherwise be required to commit a crime to obtain (most notably titles that predate the platform itself). It also provides one of the most intuitive ways to access mods online, saving me from hell trying to enjoy every last moment of my games.
The only really annoying bit I have experienced is the sheer amount of times I have to log into my account on the website, making the task of purchasing games and nabbing free games on the go, or simply just trying to replace my profile picture incredibly infuriating with 2FA.
When steam first came out, it was pretty universally reviled by the gaming community. The notion that you had to be connected to the internet to play single player games was pretty mind blowing for alot of people. Now that everyone has always-on internet connections its not a big deal, and steam is actually useful for keeping your game collection in one consolidated place, along with getting new game recommendations and reviews. I've also read they are pretty good about paying developers, and don't try and screw them the way other publishers do.
When I totally lost my email (service provider shut down its services), their support helped.me.in geting back access to it.
As. Well the steam sales are. Great thing, so.are the steam. Recommendations.
Today, recieved an alert via SMS, asking me if the 199.24 charge was authorized by me for this Fraudulent website. 5 minutes later another unauthorized charge for 499.67. I have never even heard of this website. Im so pissed! Called bank filled a Fraudulent charge claim. Now I have to wait to get my money back. Seems like from other reviews this has been going on for years. Sick people, Karma is a $#*!.
Help I'm addicted to video games! This site tries so hard to protect your credit card/s, your account, and your inventory it's a bit of a hassle, but its so much better than losing all that information or getting it stolen!
Answer: I have been using steam for 5 years and it is a very smooth expirience
Answer: I think you bank account or card info got leaked online and someone used it to buy the games
Answer: Just stole $500 from me.
