I've purchased a number of items including a few watches. The analog watches are stylish, function well & have the "heft" you'd expect for a quality wrist watch. My most recent purchase was a "Due Volta" with both analog & digital functions. Three issues with this purchase… first the directions on programming will get you there but are not very intuitive or sufficiently detailed. Second, the 1/100th second function isn't addressed at all & purpose of the "Date" half moon isn't explained & one must surmise that the background changes color to reflect you've successfully moved from the digital display of the time to the digital display of the date. Finally, the metal articulated band will require adjustment by removal of one or more "links" in order to have a secure fit. Directions for this were not provided and the telephone help was marginal. Finally, when you remove the links necessary you sacrifice the final "pin" barrel connection that has the length necessary for the band to join with the clasp. The absence of any directions for what is a fairly simple task (once you have clear guidance) on the work bench with a vise & the loss of the longer "pin barrel" connecting to the clasp really has detracted from the purchase. In posing the watch to photograph this last problem it appears that the absence of the longer "pin barrel" sleeve made it easy for the pin to disconnect. This could result in the loss of the watch under some circumstances.
But I'm still very pleased with Stauer overall & will be writing them about this specific watch to try and get it fixed & fitted properly.
On August 31,2019 I placed an order with Stauer. The item cost $128.77 and was automatically deducted from my American Express. No problem as I received my order within 10 days. On September 13 I returned the item because I didn't care for it. I took a picture of my return label and kept the return receipt. 10 days after I returned the item I started checking my American Express for a credit. On October 7 I decided to call and ask why I had not been credited for my return. The first call I placed I was put on hold for 45 minutes. I hung up, called back and took the option of leaving my phone number so they could call me back. Well, no surprise, they never did call me back. I kept trying throughout the day and kept being put on hold. Finally, after putting my phone on speaker and waiting almost an hour my call was answered. I explained my situation -- gave the rep all the details --- order number, date of return, return reference number, etc. The rep said that yes they had received the return but they were behind in posting credits and that my credit would be posted in two days. What kind of answer is that? I think any dodo bird would know that they were hanging on to my money as long as possible (and I'm sure that of others) in their account. On the 11th -- three days later -- the credit was still not posted to my account so I called American Express and explained the situation. American Express reversed the charge until they hear from Stauer. I will never order from this company again.
I lost my wedding rings and I needed to replace them. I ordered the Star Power moissanite ring and I feel whole again. We have been married for 53 years and I needed a beautiful ring to wear.

I bought a ring March 3rd and the end of May one of the small stones fell out and I couldn't find it I was devastated and cried showed my husband and he said that Stauer should replace or fix it, mind you, we are both disabled and the ring cost only $39.00 but with S&H and tax it came to $60 00, for us that's a lot of money. For a company like this they should take care of people but nope. The thing is I read all the reviews about the company and they were all great, the one that got me was the lady that had her ring for "10 years and was still good as new" they probably wrote that then self to sucker people like me in- well they got me hook, line & sinker! They said I was past the 30 day return/replace but I can back date and BUY a $9 99 1 year replacement guarantee what a joke! Just be careful because, I had to save up for this, like I said it might not sound like a lot of money but for once I really thought I was going to get a nice ring my husband has been buying me cheap rings for years and when I saw this one I thought this is it!
I ordered "MEN OF STEEL NECKLACE AND BRACELET". Beautiful but the bracelet was not the one I ordered. Should have been #******* and received #*******. Similarly, I just kept the bracelet instead of going through the return process. 9 out of 10 stars.
I have always found Stauer's procedures opaque and unclear. I placed an order for a ring (and an accompanying Platinum membership they talked me into) back in February. I have a loadable credit card, and they sent me an email, prompting me about the fact there wasn't the money for the charge on the card. I normally thought that, once the money was there, they would take payment. Well, the ring wasn't in stock. I had to wait and wait and wait. Finally, this month (June 30) they notify me they are cancelling this long standing order because there was no money on my card. I am now not working and am collecting no benefits, so the ring I wanted, and thought I had paid for, will not be coming at all. This billing procedure is not made clear, especially on such long delayed orders. To say I'm pissed is an understatement. Their jewelry is not that good anyway. A silver bracelet I bought from them came apart, and after trying to repair it, it fell off and is lost, and one of the "gold" wore off a ring I bought from them after just a little wear. I told them to take me off their mailing list. Don't deal with them.
We have purchased several pieces from this company and have been well pleased. We had one problem with an item but the company responded well and was very helpful and fast.
The knife was purchased as a working tool. It's not that it's to large to be practical. It's a nice knife if you want something to hang on the wall to look at. But not a knife for everyday use.
Order.co formation was prompt but delivery very slow. I contacted Stauer complaining of the slowness of delivery the same day that the package arrived
IT took a few tries to get the code offer that I wanted to use (which was 1/3 the price of other offer codes. But finally got it to work. With the new code, the price made the offer acceptable.
They charged my checking account for a membership without my authorization, using a debit card number belonging to my deceased spouse. I'm waiting for a refund.
The blade hard to open and close. A bur was causing the problem. Had to have a friend remove the pin and remove the burr. Also the handle had a small chip.
This company sells defective merchandise with exorbitant shipping & handling charges which are not refundable.
If it was possible, I would give them a minus rating.
I've delt with many catologue companies over the years. The quality and service of Stauer is excelent in the varity of items, the mailing time and the fact that we have never had a problem with any of the items (mostly jewlrey) that we have purched.

I ordered this for my brother who is a big guy. It's a bit too feminine I believe. Stauer has some other great options I'll be looking at.
