We bought a Tv from Target and got this warranty. We submitted a claim as soon as it broke down. The online service told me to call to complete the claim which I did, and they were closed. I called the next day, the agent wanted me to troubleshoot and move some settings when I clearly said the Tv image was completely gone. I sent in a video along with pictures and said they would take a business day to come up with a solution and the only thing I got is another email asking for even more proof of the issues. I am beyond frustrated with their loops to get them to cover our damages. Save your money and get another type of warranty for your electronics who actually respond when you need them to cover for what you pay for.
I bought a 5 year protection plan on 2 Essentials Collection Home Entertainment Recliner and in their policy they cover the kind of fabric. After 2 years, the fabric on one arm started to peel.
I contacted Wayfair first, and they ask me to contact Square Trade who told me that the fabric wasn't covered. Even when I sent them back a highlighted copy of the section mentioning that it was covered they refused again and now they don't answer anymore.
My Plan number is:
**************
Purchased All State SquareTrade warranty on cell phone. The phone failed and they told me that virtually nothing is covered with their warranty big scam buyer beware they said they would refund the remainder of my warranty several weeks ago no refund yet nor do I expect one
They do not honor their warranties. They will keep reviewing your claim as an attempt to never pay your claim. You will spend many hours trying to resolve your claim by phone, email and their submission site only to be told that your claim is still under review or denied. You will speak to many different customer service reps who all have different things to say but don't know what they are talking about as far as anything they are saying being relevant to the resolution of your claim. I will be cancelling all of my warranties and will never trust this company again with my money nor protection of anything I purchase moving forward. This company is all profit even at the expense of the customers they are suppose to be looking out for.
I purchase plan's all the time and since this one is dealt with allstate I've never had more problems. I sent my items in and didn't hear anything back for a week after I got confirmation that they received it. I called and they told me they lost my item well they tried to tell me they never received it but I got confirmation that it was delivered after 2hrs on the phone they said they would mail a refund it took 3 weeks to get. Allstate sucks for anything..
Purchased electronics coverage from Squaretrade through American Home Shield in April. Made a recent claim for my TV. Squaretrade told me I qualified for a replacement TV with the same features as my current TV. Replacement TV options offered by Squaretrade are of much lower quality than my current TV. Called customer service, was told the provided link with replacement options was 'dynamic' and would update, but the link kept recycling the same five budget TV options. Called again, was told the TV department experts would be contacting me within 24 hours. Three days later and I'm still waiting. It's been two weeks since I made my initial claim and all I have is a broken TV and lots of frustration. My inkling is that Squaretrade offers replacements of lower quality to save money with the hopes that most consumers won't notice.
I've had their policies for years and never had an issue, until NOW. After holding a 4 phone policy for two years, a dropped phone led to catastrophic damage on my iPhone 14 pro max. The agent said to go to service provider- Apple, only 2 stores in my state (Alabama) but ok- done, get the work order, ok- done. Speak to agent- replace with an out of warranty phone for 768.00, done. Now- I owe AT&T for $850, fine, charged the $768 to my Apple CC, turned in all documents: then WHAM- SquareTrade sends me an email for $633.00 AMAZON GIFT CARD!
What the heck is going on!? Just don't do it.
It was very quick and easy to buy and pay money for the square trade, but it's a big hassle, to deal with the hoops and loops to setup an appointment and get refrigerator fixed. Bought a Whirlpool refrigerator at Costco. LED lights are out again, second time. They were fixed just several month ago.
Called three times and waiting for two month now to have technician come out and fix it. Hopefully it was my last call to finally fix the problem. Company offer fix it withing 30 days or replace it. Sounds like it's not going to happen, misleading information.
The new appliances are very poor quality. Only three years old fridge, and LED lights are out a second time. Those lights are on only while the door is open, so total running time were maximum a few hours.
My son's iPad was bent and shattered. Square Trade sent us back an iPad with a repaired screen that has less of a bend. It's still considered warped by Apple. I'm not sure if it was my son's original or a refurbished one. If you try to upgrade to a new iPad with Apple, you get a really good credit toward the upgrade if the device you trade in is not warped. I paid for this insurance but the device is still considered warped or defective by Apple. I'd rather just buy from Apple instead of Walmart and get Applecare instead of Square trade.
I had 2 items that no longer work. A humidifier and a 6sheet paper shredder from Walmart. I submitted my clams and received 2 egift cards. Which I attempted to use though was told they were not active and had to call square trade. I sent pictures of items, copy of my receipts yet still going through hoops for 40.37! I am still waiting 9 supervisor 's later!
Purchased a laptop from purchasing power last year. Had 3 of the ports (HDMI, Ethernet, and one USB) fail. Called and after some basic diagnostics they said it would be covered and to send it in. Okay great! That was over a month ago and I still do not have my laptop back. Every time I call or go to their online chat they push the date back further and further. They tell me there is nothing they can do and they will request an update which then comes 2 days later saying it will be done by "x" date. That date will roll around and Still no update. I will call and they come up with a different excuse and tell me they will request an update. Repeat process. They have all been rude over the phone and you can tell they truly do not care about the customer.
After many emails that weren't received or that the pics were missing or the receipt wasn't visible I was told it was weather and they didn't cover weather damage. The seems ripped on my car port and what do you know? They don't want to pay. Just skip using this company. You think it's Allstate and good insurance. THINK AGAIN
Bought a 29inch mongoose excursion bike from Walmart in April 16,2020, had a wheel that was not aligned and wobbly. Gave it back to Walmart for fixing it, but they just didn't do anything. And when reached the manufacturer they asked for all the documents, videos, barcodes and then came back that it is on back order. It is now almost a year and still not repaired nor refunded. Just what is the point of us getting the warranty protection as each party says they cannot do anything. All at fault - Walmart, SquareTrade and the Pacific Cycles manufacturer.
They deny their own written terms & conditions!
I bought their plan through AHS, the terms and conditions of my protection plan states clearly that it covers smartphones. However they systematically denied my claim for a smartphone repair. Also, their agents are so confusing! You do not get what you pay for, I feel like I am being ripped off.
All good with taking your money. But when it's time for a claim they will not honor it. They will tell you to use a local shop and they will reimburse you. That's the trick. Then they will give you the run around for weeks finding faults with your receipt and saying the claim is being reviewed. But that check will never come. I've been waiting a month to get paid for a phone repair.
If you bought their warranty you better go get a refund while u still can. If you still can.
Our tv went out while still under Squaretrade warranty. The warranty agreement stated that the would send a service technician to our home for a large tv to see if it could be repaired not. Instead we were told to find our own technician, pay for the service call, and send the receipt to SquareTrade for reimbursement. After arguing with the square trade person about who is responsible for getting a technician, I gave up trying to negotiate this matter. Furthermore, it is difficult to find a TV repair person in our small community. In the sun, a word of advice, stay away from square trade.
They were no help. They kept hanging up on me to avoid questions and comments. They did not honor their warranty on my tv. You work hard to get what you have and you think that the people you have your protection plan with is there for you when you need them only to find out they are just there to collect your money. This company is a joke and a scam. They told me that they do not have managers only supervisors. I find that difficult to believe. I would no recommend this company to anyone. Someone need to shut them down so they can stop ripping people off.
Got the run-around for a week: "please upload a picture of the model number stamp," "please upload a video of the appliance," "please describe the issue"... and around and around.
I finally said "enough" after trying to get them to honor the warranty.
At this point I'm just going to pay out of pocket. There's a small chance they'll honor their agreement and compensate me for the local repair, but I highly doubt I'll get anything from them.
My advice: stay away from SquareTrade. Note this is "Allstate Warranty" - and it's what Costco sells. Don't bother - it's a waste of money and time.
I submitted a claim for a cracked cell phone screen and was given run around even after paying deductible and was told a email would come 24 hours. I finally got a refund for my deductible and gave up. Don't waste your time or money with Allstate and square trade
I bought an iPhone for my son and purchased a two year protection plan. My son cracked the screen, but the phone worked fine, for quite a while. After about 8 months, the screen became blurry. I filed a claim and was told I am not covered cause of the cracked screen. What a total waste of time and a waste of money. Will never purchase insurance with this company.
Answer: Company takes forever doing anything. Refuses refunding when it cant repair something and will make up an excuse to void the warranty.
Answer: Its quite easy online. Just dont expect them to actually help you.
Answer: It was the only one offered at the time of purchase.
Answer: There was a class action suit, that they lost. https://webservices.courthousenews.com/sites/Data/AppellateOpinionUploads/2023-02-3--14-06-19-320cv2725.pdf
