My husband and I decided to sign up for a club to try new wines. Splash claimed it was one of the best, it was not outrageous in price and we had the option to get 6 bottles every other month. Seemed almost perfect. First box came less than a week after signing up and communication from the company seemed good. We eagerly opened the first box, and there was no tasting notes sheet. No retail wine price listed like other companies do. I started to Google each wine and discovered they were all $7-$8 retail. The subscription pricing of $60, averaged each bottle at $10. I didn't expect a deep discount, but didn't expect to be overcharged. One bottle was also outdated. They sent us a 5 year old moscato that was. Very strange tasting. I canceled the subscription.
Ordered 3 times at 79$ only received 1 order thru Groupon, it's a Scam. One minute they can see order ext representative says cannot!
I received an order flyedterday and after opening up the box, I was very disappointed to find three of twelve bottles open! Actually, one bottle had no cork and two other bottles had the cork almost all the way out. I had to dispose of the wine because of rancid taste.
I will NEVER order from them again.
I nave been purchasing Splash Wines frequently for around four or five years. I was one of their biggest fans. I earned a lot of points which I could save up and use to buy a heavily discounted case, sometimes even a free one. I even became a "Founder" member of their Wino club to rack up even more points. Their wines were almost always good with a seldom bad bottle. I have left many 5 star reviews in the past.
Recently they started "expiring" rewards points if received more than six months prior. If that was not bad enough, they also limited the number of points that you can redeem to $25.00 worth. None of these policy changes were ever shared with their customers prior to adopting them. This makes it extremely difficult to ever redeem their points without buying a fortunes worth of wine.
They currently owe me for three shipments of wine (I was attempting to use up some points before they expire). One is supposed to arrive by Wednesday of this week (2 days from now), prior to Thanksgiving.
I still have received no conformation of delivery or a response from their customer service. I anticipate having to fight to get my remaining wine.
Stay away from them until you start hearing a lot of good reviews after they reverse their policy changes.
In the shipment I received: none of the vine had more then 90 points rating, customer review 3.0 - 3.5 stars; there were some wines in plastic bottles, retail price for some wines were $2.99 and $4.99. You get better deal at Aldi store
I have been ordering from Splash Wines over 2 years, once or twice a month. My last 3 orders have been completely screwed up! They have about $245.00 of my money tied up!
They are now horrible! Do NOT order from them!
They use to be great but since outsourcing, they are horrible!
I got a Groupon so I decided to try them out. I was not impressed. The quality of these wines was so incredibly low. A few of them tasted like they'd been thinned out with water and had some kind of hard alcohol added (like the stuff they make hard seltzer from). A few others tasted old and past expiry. There was a weird aftertaste present in most all of the bottles that was just plain gross, and too similar to be a coincidence. I have tried many varieties of wine before and since and enjoyed them immensely, so I know there is nothing wrong with my palate.
Also the customer service is terrible.
Their prices may be low, and so is the quality. The only way to get a decent bottle of wine is to upgrade to their hgher tier wines, and now your good deal is gone. I recently had ordered a case of 18, received only 17, and had to jump thru hoops to prove it. They had me take photos of all the wines and then only gave me 1/18 credit for the missing bottle, even though the missing bottle was a better quality wine. Also the fine print states that they may substitute wines, so what you ordered, you may not get. Although shipping is convenient, I'll go back to Total Wine and avoid the hassle for my next purchase.

Looked at a Groupon for Splash Wine due to email. Clicked around trying to get details and ended up with a charge of $48 on PayPal. In order to get ANYTHING from Splash Wine. At that point, I'd have to pay $38 for shipping. Decided to cut my losses but did call to make sure they did not sign me up for a monthly subscription too. Customer service guy was an $#*!. Out of pocket $48 but glad I don't have to deal with Splash in the future. If you have to use sneaky tactics, then your not a stand up company.
I have been a great customer to Splash Wines. One of my all time Fav's. But when I ordered the wrong case and wanted assistance, they were not willing to assist and I got stuck with it. They would not credit me even a penny off of the one I had to keep nor a discount on buying a new one. NOTHING. I have bought cases and cases from them. I will be moving on to one of their competitors who has just as good of wine and packages.

Buyer beware! I ordered a special Pinot Noir box, which was supposed to include four "Captains List" bottles. The price was much higher than what I ordinarily pay, but I was very excited to get the advertised Willamette Valley Pinots.
When the box arrived, there were only 11 wines (plus one empty space), and none of the Captains List bottles.
When I asked for the missing bottles to be shipped, they said it was too expensive. Instead, they were only willing to offer a partial refund that was based on the average cost of all the bottles.
Bad service, shady practices!
15 bottles purchase with a Groupon cost about $89.00 with a flat shipping fee of $29.00. All the red wines taste the same, poor smell and taste, of course this explains it; it's splash wines you need to splash it in the bathroom to empty out all the bottles because you can't drink them.
I have bought wine from Splash wines (or whatever they are calling themselves at the moment) always hoping for the best...instead I'm always disappointed. You would think the least they could do in throw in at least one mediocre wine now and then. Instead they offer nothing but low rung wines that probably wouldn't even make the bargain bin at the liquor store. Never again.0 stars.

I have ordered from various companies, and have enjoyed all. Unfortunately for me splash wines are cheap for a reason. If you are a true wine drinker, these wines are not for you. So far all the whites taste the same much like vinegar. I shall not order from this company again. Not great.

I've been ordering from Splash for probably 4 years now & have only gotten 1 wine I disliked (and it just got turned into sangria!). I prefer Splash over other the other wine subscription companies because you're not defaulted in to a monthly or quarterly box - you simply order a box that looks good to you when you want it. They've always been quick to respond when I've had issues before too - like requesting a different shipper with a more convenient pickup location.
I've been using Splash Wines since 2016. My wife and I enjoy their wine so much, we finally got a subscription for red wines last year. We love the variety and have never had a bad bottle. I find myself getting excited around the first of the month because I want to see what new wines we'll be trying. (It's like a wino's Christmas) :). One time we received a few bottles of white wine in an order. I called customer service and they refunded the bottles on the spot, no questions asked. I highly recommend Splash to anyone who enjoys sampling a variety of new wines.
I am so happy that I found this site to purchase wines from. I don't normally purchase very high-end bottles, but rather everyday table wine that is of good quality at a reasonable price. Something you can just sit around and enjoy. Or to enjoy a nice glass of wine or to share at dinner. I have an Angela Pinot Noir at the bottom of this review and it is extremely good. They also have the best customer service people who are always willing to help. I've belonged to several wine clubs before and I have always found them to be burdensome after a while. I can finally say I found one! Plus there's no membership to join if you don't want to, but I did become a Founder member so I could get Splash Cash at higher rate, which over the past (almost 2)years has allowed me to get two free cases. Sign up just to get the email specials and try some. You'll be glad you did.

Great prices but very slow to ship. Placed order 8 days ago still has not shipped. Be aware they charge restock fee before they will refund you. That about $22 dollars. A very unfair charge.
