I had an incredibly frustrating and unacceptable experience. My original booking was cancelled without any prior notice or confirmation, and I was automatically rebooked on a completely different date that didn't suit me at all. At no point was I consulted or given the opportunity to approve the change. When I contacted customer service to request a refund for the service I never agreed to, I was met with dismissive responses and a flat-out refusal to issue a refund. This is not only unprofessional but completely disrespectful to paying customers. The lack of communication, disregard for consent, and refusal to take responsibility for the mistake is beyond disappointing. I expected far better. I will not be using this service again and strongly advise others to be cautious – you may end up paying for something you didn't book and won't be able to get your money back.

If you're looking to improve the customer experience, my suggestion would be to clearly include luggage details during the ticket purchase process. It would save time and avoid confusion.

Cancelled reservation

They had to cancel my reservation due to the wrong fare. I don't understand why is it even advertised when at the end it is the wrong fare anyway. I was advised to book on the airlines instead rather than with them.

I made a big mistake using smartfares to book my trip, the process has been very painful and time consuming. I was over charged for my bag which I then had to get refunded and will have to pay once I get to the airport. The seat assignment is not done until 1 week before the flight and I have little control over what seat they give me. Plus I have somehow ended up with the lowest fare level meaning that I cannot have a carryon bag and I will be the last person to board the plane (plus who knows what other trouble).
I could have booked the same flight directly from the airline at almost the same price with a better result and possibly even for less once all the additional fees kick in as things go. It would have taken me much less time as well, since I've had to contact them twice already with more interactions to go.
Overall then, a very poor experience and one that I will do my best to avoid in the future, starting with not using this company again.

SmartFares attempted to help this customer through the Sitejabber Resolution Center, but the customer did not respond

It's a reap off

Do not use this company to buy your tickets. It is a reap off. In their webpage they only ask for a last name when you buy the ticket. And then they charge you 150 dollars to add the other last name. It is a rip off. Believe me. Do not buy anything from them.

I was booking a flight for me and my 11 year old daughter. The drop list won't allow me to choose 2013. I tried numerous times as a child, youth or adult. I won't allow me when I called in the operator women was rude, I tried again I got a gentleman and was going to book the flight for me for 700 and he was rude about it. I told him no thank you
