I had to pay extra money that I really didn't have. I will not be using Smartfares again.
Do not use they failed the first charge on purpose and the charged us 450$ to refund the first charge that failed.
I purchased 3 tickets for a 1 way trip for 235 CAD each and when I purchase the ticket. The price changes and my card was charged more and in USD instead of the Canadian value that was shown on the flight. I didn't appreciate that I was tricked in that way. I'm not sure I will use this website again to book my flights.
It was simple to book easy to navigate. And the price was better then the rest.
I'm a bit disappointed that the price advertised was about £20 less than what I actually paid. I understand the fluctuation in exchange rates but Im sure there's the technology to update prices in real time.
I purchased seats in the app where the airline includes them when booking business. Not happy about the money spent but I don't want to "fight" on the phone.

Same as all the other low cost websites. If it works. It's great if it there is an issue or you need to call someone good luck. You can't really do anything on their website for changes and wait times are insane. So gotta role the dice.

Booking with a third party shouldn't restrict the ability to do on-line check-in. This is a major issue. Please facilitate and create a way to overcome this.

I found excessive additional costs for flexible tickets, booking seats, luggage etc. And then I was still charged R200 extra for 'currency conversion charges'.
Unauthorized used of my credit card to purchase travel insurance for me without my consent
More money than quoted for the flight was debited from my account. This is fraud. I had to log a dispute with my bank.Thr case is still under investigation.
Answer: Smartfares! They will offer a deeply discounted airfare and send you a confirmation number to your email. The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!
