Wanted to buy new glasses but didn't want to pay loads for specsavers. These are perfect quality in recycled case and spare lenses. I can't believe it was €8 total! I had problems with my account and getting an invoice so I emailed customer service and they were extremely helpful. Got my package the next day. Can't recommend enough!
They refuse to provide invoices/receipts until the product ordered has been shipped, which takes a month... Terrible service, had battled with customer services for several days before someone actually knowledgeable provided me with a semi decent answer; the company has experienced lots of fraud so now have a painful process for their products. The products are not bad but the entire process makes it not worth it. Would recommend visiting any optical store over this company.
I want to start by saying that this is a genuine review. I am based in New Zealand and bought from the NZ site.
I was a bit worried after reading the reviews. But nonetheless I purchased a pair of Ray-Bans at the cheapest price online - well except the ones that are clearly fakes. I got free express shipping. They didn't have my ones in stock but they sourced some within 5 days-less than the time-frame they suggested. One day after postage, I got an alert saying that shipping is delayed. Oh No I thought. Here it comes. But no, the product turned up the next day, just 8 days since purchase for a product not in stock at the warehouse. And after inspecting them, they are definitely genuine- I have had this model before.
I am one of the few on here that CAN recommend SmartBuyGlasses.
I tried to order some sunglasses through them, as they seem to have a really nice range of frames. However I sent customer services a query when the voucher code for 20% of lenses did not take 20% off but more like 12%. I did not hear back from customer services and when I checked the site again the 20% offer was missing and there was a 10% offer. I applied the code for the 10% offer and again it only took about half of that amount off the price. They don't seem to have an online chat option or a customer centre phone number that works. I have then read the reviews about this company and I have decided not to proceed with buying any glasses from them. They seem to communicate very poorly, provide misleading information on the vouchers and offers, don't address customer concerns have a very poor record for delivering and accepting returns of eyewear.
I ordered from this website as they advertise them selves under a UK domain and send notification of shipment from Royal Mail while actually shipping from Hong Kong. Terrible customer service.
Do not buy from them.
This company has the most irritating website I've ever come across. Before even starting to order glasses there is no visible prompt to enter one's prescription. It's full of wonderful frames, deals, etc but even here if you save a shortlist under favourites it's impossible to remove frames you decide are not for you after further scrutiny. If this is the level of the website who on earth would trust to buying glasses from this company?

This company is blindingly terrible, I don't know how they've got good reviews?! They must be fake!
I waited way over a month for the glasses. In an attempt to mask the wait time, they just sent weekly updates to say that the glasses were ready for shipping rather than being honest about it.
I finally received the order and the glasses didn't fit so I requested a refund. They processed the refund and took £7.99 off me for express shipping. Jeeeez if that's express then I'd hate to think what normal is to them. This must be a Spanish company operating on Siesta mode for most of the working week.
Anyway I won't be buying from these clowns again, I'd rather walk with a stick!

This company is a joke. I made a purchase of a glasses in April can you believe, l have not got the item for over 2 months. Please l would advice that you don't buy anything from this company. They are the bigger scam.
I didn't think I'd ever be that person' who reviews/comments/messages in order to reach the attention of those in seniority but here I am. I have had an ongoing issue with a refund since the 24th April and I strongly believe that this company are wrongfully withholding my money and it has been a tiresome, frustrating and upsetting situation that has gone on long enough. I strongly urge you NOT to buy anything from this company as I believe them to be fraudulent and during these difficult and unsettling times, they have done nothing but escalate my financial worries.
I ordered my sunglasses in April 2023 they sent me clear lensed glasses and sent the tinted lenses in a small white envelope. When I called to complain they suggested I just pop the clear lenses out and put the tinted ones in myself. Which I refused. I sent them back. They promised to send me the correct sunglasses! They then sent me the wrong frames! I asked for a full refund and I'm an still waiting. I have never dealt with a company that has such terrible customer service. If I do not receive my refund I will be reporting them to the ombudsman! I would suggest that you stear clear of this company!¡
I ordered a pair of frames on the 5th of the month. Company then took until the 25th to say they couldn't provide them. When I got my credit card statement, the money had been taken straight away and had not been refunded. When I got in touch with them and asked for a refund, they said I should look on the website for another pair. Purports to be. co.uk but obvious, from the "chat" facility that it isn't. The chat "assistant" was really rude too. They resemble the type of people who cold call in a scam. Pity there aren't minus stars for these fraudsters. Do not but at any cost.
Ordered glasses 3 January - still waiting on 27 January for them. Tracking number does not work. Not entirely sure this is an authentic company - Save yourself the bother of stress, losing money and not being able to see in the meantime. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Awful company! I sent TWO separate parcels to them for returns (goods totaling over £400) and they are saying that they havent received either of them, even though I posted them on two separate days and the courier have GPS tracking of the address that they were delivered to. Now Smart Buy Glasses are refusing to refund me, and it has been 3 weeks since they received my parcel.
Received fake sunglasses from this company! I thought it would be safe because of ok looking site and good average reviews for example on trustpilot. But now i checked, and either someone rated as 5 or 1, nothing in between, suspect company is posting the positive reviews! Or people that dont know real from fake glasses. Its a scam!
This has been a struggle. The company is not UK based but Hong Kong- with customer service that is appalling with conflicting information. Do not believe the reviews they provide online on their website- they are clever playing shipping dates. I was given a maths lessons as well from their obnoxious customer service. My advise pay the £50 and get it from high street - you will save a lot of time effort and stress. They are awful...
Ordered from fast shipping range. Money left account 2 days later. One week later email to say glasses not in stock at least 4 week wait. Asked for call back and refund No Call No refund AVOID this scam at all costs. Do not end up like me no glasses and £300 out of pocket
They advertise glasses they don't have. Substitute, horrid glasses sent instead with the wrong lenses prescription for which I've sent proof. They haven't refunded the custom taxes as their website says it will do immediately & then they don't reply to the messages. AVOID THIS COMPANY, I INTEND TO TAKE MY CASE & ISSUES FURTHER.
It's almost 3 weeks since I ordered, I have not received my contact lenses. Emailed them twice and received no reply at all. I called twice and the customer service agent was very unhelpful and useless! Bad experience. I wont buy from this place again.
I received a fake glasses (fake Polaroid brand). Two years ago I bought the original pair in official store. Now I wanted to buy the same pair of glasses (same model, color, etc.) but in this online store SmartBuyGlasses (low atrial price). Unfortunately, I received a cheap fake eyeglasses - poor quality, other markings signs (inaccurate print), different box, no Polaroid brand certificate! - I have my previous original glasses and I can see the difference! I'd like to return but there is no contact with them - support doesn't work, it doesn't respond.
Avoid this company. I have asked for a refund four times after they claimed that the product I ordered (and they charged my card with) but with no success.
