I ordered a t-shirt from this site. It indicated that this item "ships free". Nothing could be farther from the truth. I ended up paying almost $17 in shipping... FOR A T-SHIRT! The process to check out on line is very misleading as it states you can save $15.95 if you order now. This made me believe that would cover the shipping cost. IT DIDN'T! I immediately sent an email as I was unable to find a way to cancel this order. I received an instant reply that said I would get a response within the next few hours. That was days ago. I have yet to hear a word from them. I made this purchase for work. I was only allotted a certain amount to spend on this item. The misleading information on their site caused me to spend almost double what I was allotted. As a result, I am out this money (that I cannot afford) right before Christmas.
When I ordered it stated I would get 65% off then when purchased they charges me full price or 395.00 I called right away to cancel the order due to can't not afford they would not cancel the order said it was already being made which isn't true because I called back and the order hadn't even been processed this is not good customer service and taking almost 400.00 is not right im a single parent and can not afford this
Regarding dealings I had with MLB on from Nov 8th for the order of 1 item and I received 3 instead.
I got into my account on their web page and it shows one item being ordered. I contacted them three times to tell them and they insisted I ordered three separate orders for the same item. Yet only one order shows under my account on MLB web page! Had I wanted 3 I would have hit in the items box, 3. They had already debited my visa for three pairs at 96.00 each.
They will only refund my money when I return the two other orders. Now I am already out a lot of money and they want me to mail at my own expense, the returns! I asked them for a shipping (no charge) label and they refused.
So to get my money back for something I did not order, I will have to leave the safety of my home and mail their package and Pay for it.
I am a high risk senior on my own,( hence my always ordering on line) and the stress this all has caused me is upsetting to say the least., So very wrong in so many way MLB.
I ordered a jersey for a gift from MLB. When it arrived, there was some shipping damage. I emailed the customer service department and a new jersey is on it's way! They told me to go ahead and ship back the damaged one when it was convenient. No hassle, just an friendly and responsive customer service department. I wish all online vendors were like this. Good job guys!
The whole experience from buying to shipping to customer service is garbage. I will never order from this site again.
Decided to go through MLBshop because the authentic jersey of the player I wanted was unavailable anywhere else. My mom purchased it for me for my birthday. I own over a dozen jerseys baseball and football in size 44. Im usually swimming in them, or at least they fit comfortably. I received my custom jersey in size 44, and apparently Nikes run juuuuuust a tad small because the thing is SKIN TIGHT! Talked to a very nice lady in customer service who said she's been dealing with this alot since Nike started making MLB jerseys and she would write up a ticket for exchange since they don't usually exchange customized items. Recieve an automated email not 48 hours later from fanatics saying im SOL and my ticket is closed. %$ this place, now I have to go through small claims and file a formal complaint with the FTC
If you email customer service expect a rude smart $#*! response. Also even before covid it took 4-8 weeks to get a purchase. I use other sites now.
Buyer beware: Received my son's Mets jersey on Aug. 6th after 1st washing as per instructions the appliqued became unglued. Called MLB. Shop customer service this morning, Sept, 14th, and was told in spite of the site saying 100-day return policy it was sent manufacturer direct which only has a 30-day policy (as if anyone would have assumed this would vary). I was looking for an exchange, not a return, didn't matter, they did not care that the quality of their over $100 jersey could not hold up to a single washing. I would definitely look elsewhere if you are looking for a jersey because MLB.com shop does not sell a quality product or have decent business practices.
I placed an order for an autographed ball and holder. Received the holder without the ball and I called customer service right away. Cristin explained that the two items are shipped separately. Thanks for the great customer service and follow up to make sure I received my item. Great person to work with.
I was only given a partial refund on two orders on clothing that didn't fit. They did not refund the original shipping and charged me for the return shipping. Their chat did not work for days and I gave up. Calling them directly resulted in hang ups after I was sent from the automated system to Customer Service (3 times). No way to send an email. Which is moot anyway, as I should not be punished for clothing that did not fit. So I paid $50 and have no product to show for it. BTW, I don't care what their refund policy is or not. This is a big business and should have ethical policies that most big clothing companies follow.
I ordered a St. Louis Cardinals wallet for my husband for his mid-May birthday. Today is August 5. I have called and written multiple times... each time being promised that the wallet was being shipped immediately. Still no wallet. Customer service is horrible - long, long waits to speak with someone, and a long conversation each time to prove who I am, what I ordered, when I ordered it, etc. Horrible service - I will never order from MLB.com Shop again.

I used a Visa gift card to purchase a hat. The hat size I wanted was 71/4. When it arrived it was too big. I sent the cap back and they provided a refund to the gift card I purchased it with. There was no way to get the refund back because I threw the card away after the purchase because it was empty. So I said fine just send the cap back because I can gift it to someone. They said they couldn't and I had to ask visa for the refund. I asked well can't I have the number so I can contest it with visa or can't you just place the value in a gift card since I sent the cap back and you received it? They said no. So they took my money and ran. So disappointing
They would not give me a refund 15 min after I placed an order for a Mookie Betts Jersey. It wasn't going to be delivered to me until mid October.
Purchased a replica custom yankees away jeresey by mistake I called MLB store to cancel the order and get an upgrade to the authentic jersey. My order was still proccessing. The guy said I cannot do that I have to wait for the replica jeresy to come which takes 2 weeks to return it and then I could return it which takes 10 maximum to get my money back. I said by the time I get my money and get the correct jeresey the mlb season will be over. He gave me two options by another jersey the one I originally wanted or wait for the process to return it. I asked to speak to a supervisor to further explain why I could not cancel my order even though it was still proccessing. He said I can put in a request to talk to them which takes one to two business days. He also said all customer jersey were final from the moment you push the button and accept. I continued to tell him that my name wasn't on the jersey but a players name on the team was (Clint Frazier #77) which I picked because they gave a list of players names and numbers to put on the jersey. He said rules are rules it's still a custom jersey. I said I will likely not do business with them again and in a manner of speaking he said oh well.
So disapointed to read about the team logo masks ordered mets masks on May 26 still waiting and was looking foward to recieving them... not anymore: (
We were excited to get face masks with Yankees logos. We are big fans and have purchased things from this site many times. Not only did it take two months to receive these face masks but they are totally useless. They don't cover the nose to chin as needed and the elastic bands do not work at all. So disappointed. DON'T BUY THESE.
This company has screw up my orders so many times, I'm done with MLB SHOP. Folks don't waste your time and money. I ordered Red slides they sent me LA Dodgers slides. I ordered a heather grey sweatshirt the item was totally different from the advertised item. They wasn't apologetic at all. I'm done!
Ordered a custom t shirt for a birthday gift. I made sure to order a month in advance. Got my product with a defect. Customer service representative was not able to give me expedited shipping on the product or find a way to get my package to me on time for the birthday. Horrible service and representative not helpful.
Answer: I would send it back if I were you and demand a refund. Full refund (shipping costs that you paid them too)
