I ordered a pair of shoes after my wife had used this website with good results. The shoes arrived in a few days, but sadly, they did not fit well, so I requested a return label, only to find out there is a $6.95 restocking fee. This place is owned by Walmart (which if I had known, I wouldn't have ordered because I don't shop there ever). Surely, at a time when it's not safe to go shopping, Walmart can afford the $6.95. Won't make this mistake again. I'll stick with Zappos.
My experience was similar to others. Tried to return shoes I had worn for literally only 10 minutes, inside the house with socks on. I mailed them back because they didn't fit, and less than a week later UPS sends me an email saying they are delivering a package from Shoes.com. When I contacted Shoes.com they informed me that the shoes were dirty and worn so they had to return them to me. They never informed me that they were sending them back. I am going to spread the word about this!
Worst customer service ever. They lied to me and told me my item will ship today so I placed the other Bc needed it for the holidays. Then they tell me it won't be sent out today. No customer service satisfaction here. Any other company like zappos or 6pm would have owned up to their mistake and done overnight shipping. Never order from these people they're a scam and I should have known they have bad ratings. James and Kisha the managers were horrible and rude.
I've been buying from shoebuy.com for a while this one time I purchased boots for my granddaughter age 5, the boots size was 11W, well it didn't fit the so call wide was so narrow her foot could not go in. I called and explained why I'm going to return it, customer service rep said you can exchange it for a bigger size, I said no because I did get a half size bigger so when she wears thick socks it's comfortable. I was explained that I'll get a return label, and less 6.95 on my refund for restocking fee outrageous. I was upset, because of their false advertisement I must pay, clearly the boots were not wide width and if that's what they say then it's to steal people's money in a diplomatic way. Disgusting. Don't buy children's shoes here if you need wide width, it's a scam...
I placed an order and searched for reviews and almost everything came up negative... I didnt know what to expect. I was scared my Uggs would be fake, messed up, or never get them. But I received them in 4 business days, perfect condition on time and verified they are real :)
If something is wrong with your order, other retailer will contact you but this company doesnt.
I have requested 2 day air for shipping but processing takes forever so I really wasted money on shipping.
Plus I waited about 40 min. To get to speak with customer service.
I bought a pair of $100 shoes. Got them quickly, tried them on, they were too big. Called customer service and they emailed me a free shipping label. Sent them back the next day. 2 weeks later, no credit on my account so I called them. The manager said that they were sent back to me because the warehouse (which is closed on weekends?!?!?) "received one shoe and a heavy pair of socks" in my return. I live in New Orleans, I don't even own a heavy pair of socks! I am livid. I absolutely 100% put 2 UNUSED SHOES back in the original box and sent them back. They are liars, frauds, and thieves. They stole my money, and now I don't even have shoes that are too big to show for it. Special place in hell for these $#*!s.
I have 2 open orders placed 1/7/17 and 1/11/17. I received one item from the 1/11 order. Still waiting for a shipment confirmation on the other items.
I ordered from them in the past with no problem.
Hello Jo!
Orders shipped within the United States take 3-10 business days to be delivered and orders shipped outside of the United States take 10-14 business days to be delivered.
It looks like today is the 9th business day since the 7th. If you have not received a shipping confirmation by now, we recommend contacting our Customer Service Department so we can check your order for any problems.
I called shoebuy customer-no-service and talked to a very rude woman named Makita (like the power tools -- she's a tool, alright). I informed her that there was no disclosure of a $6.95 restocking fee in the return info on the back of the packing list.
She said, "it is on the website". I told her the packing list says "free returns". She replied, "returns are free, the $6.95 is a restocking fee". It was at this point that I slammed down the phone.
F-YOU SHOEBUY!
Hi Barnard! We would like to sincerely apologize for any misinformation you may have received. ShoeBuy does not offer or advertise free returns and our complete return policy can be found on our website. We offer free shipping and free exchanges but all returns that are not exchanged, incur a $6.95 restocking fee. This policy has been listed on our website since July of 2015.
We do appreciate your feedback and thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience.
I am really like 5Stars Forex, with tightest spread and good time of execution. Actually, their platform sometimes adding a little bit of gaps but at all, they are excellent. The conditions they offer are really better than other brokers have. So, I fully satisfied with my broker. Especially, I like spreads and 50% rescue withdraw bonuses system.
I bought a pair of Saucony sneakers from shoe.com and wore them for less than an hour. As I walked, I could feel the ground beneath me that's how cheap they were made. I returned them and yesterday shoe.com sent him back to me saying because they were worn, cannot be returned and that I do not get my money back. I was a first-time customer and now a last time customer. Do not buy from shoe.com.
I purchased a known brand bootie which is true to size. The bootie, ran large. I was not aware of the $6.95 restocking fee. You cannot print the return label from an ipad. I had to wait an extra 7 days for the return label to be mailed to my house. No return instructions in the shoe box. Have to use UPS. I just want my money returned.
Order placed on 12/13/17 is still "in process" with no shipping confirmation. Customer service was unable to provide a shipping date and unable to cancel the order. Very poor business management and customer service. Will buy from a reputable seller and pay a little more if needed in the future. I would stay away from this company.
I just ordered 1 pair of wolverine boots for work! I was so worried with all the reviews but, still decided to do it. After I placed my order I went to go my account and it said it charged me 5 times 40.00.! I'm so mad haven't spoken to customer service because it's 10:55 central time. My bank can't cancel! Omg i want to die!
I bought a pair of shoes for my 82 year old Dad. He had a foot injury and did not get to try on for a couple months. Wanted to return never worn shoes before 90 days after purchase. Ne response to two emails and a phone call. Finally said NO EXCEPTIONS to 60 day return policy. Terrible customer service.
AND if you could return there is a fee!
Buy from ZAPPOS--one year to return, no questions, and shipping free both ways!
We would like to thank the customer for their business and we can certainly appreciate that this is a frustrating experience for them as they do not wish to keep the shoes. I also understand this was not the resolution the customer was seeking. However, we are unable to accept returns over 60 days and this decision was made carefully and in accordance with our policies (for the customer’s reference: http://www.shoebuy.com/info/returns). All companies have policies and standards by which we must adhere. We want to be sure that this customer as with all our customers have the best possible shopping experience and that we delight all with every purchase, and our policies have been structured to help ensure this is the case.
I have shopped ShoeBuy for years. They have always advertised free shipping and free returns. And this was true until August when they starting charging a $6.95 "restocking fee".
I receive multiple emails from ShoeBuy each week trying to get me to purchase shoes yet I NEVER received an email alerting me of this major policy change. I called to complain and was told it was "advertised on the website the last two weeks in July". Seriously? What if the consumer isn't on the website for those two weeks? Why weren't emails sent? Why isn't there a banner that pops up before you purchase letting you know of the restocking fee?
Seems like a pretty serious omission to me since it represents a change in the basic policy (free returns). ShoeBuy used to be a favorite site of mine but I will never shop ShoeBuy again.
We would like to thank this customer for shopping with us and we appreciate her feedback about the return policy.
On July 16th, 2015 our site was updated to show the new policy to make sure customers would know in advance. At the top of our homepage it does now say “free shipping + free exchanges” and the entire policy is listed under the Returns section of our Help page.
The new policy went into effect on August 1,2015, and all purchases made on August 1,2015 or after are subject to our new return policy. Our policy enables our customers to choose from any items in our inventory until we find an item they’ll love – more than a million items – whether that’s a different shoe or perhaps a bag or coat. In the event they prefer not to exchange for a new item, there is a restocking fee.
We want to assure this customer that our decision to not waive the restocking fees on her orders was made carefully and in accordance with our guidelines. We understand that this customer is disappointed with our policy, and we do sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Should the customer opt to exchange, we’re happy to help find new styles or items to try.
Horrible. I have purchased winter boots from this company on the Walmart.com site, and subsequently wanted to return. The quality is subpar, the fabric is stiff & unyielding, and the way shoelaces work, just not going to last. So I opted to return but had to go through the seller, rather than through Walmart.com. Have sent 3 (three!) emails with no response. Then made a few calls to the 800 number. Twice was hung up on. Called the third time and started with, don't hang up on me! Their CS is outsourced and has problems with spelling. Finally was able to receive & print a return label by email. They want you to purchase UPS insurance, while knowing well that insurance up to $100 is already included in the UPS Ground. What's more, they want you to print it on the laser printer, right, like off I'm running to buy a laser printer rather than using my good old inkjet, and what's the difference? Another attempt to discourage returns. AVOID THIS MERCHANT.
I just wanted a good pair of work boots with great arch support and plenty of cushion. I choose a Timberland made boot placed the order and looked forward to getting my new pair of work boots. 10 days later, I get an e-mail from Shoes.com saying the order was canceled because they could not get the product. My issue is this why cause me a 10 day delay before notifying me that the product is no longer available.
Customer Service Stinks! Never again!
Horrible customer service.
I have contacted shoes.com 3 times via email concerning a problem.
They respond with a canned email telling me that they received my email and will get back to me within 48 hrs, yet they never do.
Hi Nathan,
We are truly sorry you are having a difficult time reaching our customer service. Please check your private messages as we are just about to send one onto you.
Kind Regards,
Shoes.com
I don't know how this place can stay in business. Took 2 weeks to get shoes and they charge you a hefty restocking fee. There are so many better places to find shoes. I don't know what I was thinking!
Answer: Apparently they do not care. Not a real good omen for staying in business very long.
Answer: Stay away! I tried to make an exchange, and they charged me for the new shoes and then claimed that returned shoes were worn and damaged and wouldn't give me my money back. I wore them long enough to try them on and even then the shoes were so small and stiff that I couldn't get my feet into them! I asked the customer service "manager" (the 4th "manager" I spoke to) if we are allowed to try on the shoes and shes said "yes of course" to which I said then why do you consider what I did wearing them? She didn't have an answer. This is a scam to sell off damaged or defective merchandise. Stay away.
Shoes has a rating of 1.5 stars from 502 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Shoes most frequently mention customer service, return policy and credit card. Shoes ranks 652nd among Shoes sites.
We are so happy you gave us a chance and you love the Uggs. Thank you for the kind words and we cannot wait to work with you again!
