Worst customer service ever! Ordered a month ago, was wondering why I mever recieved my order, tryed to email thru the website, this didnt work. Pm on fb and got told they emailed wanting proof or credit card and/or utlity bill, this email looked like a scam (showed my bank amd they told me not to reply, no Sheplers heading etc), will not shop here again and will make sure I share my experience with as many people I can on facebook! Good thing about social media is word travels fast.
Sheplers blamed me for not answering their scammy email! No cancelation email... im absolutaly gutted!
I am writing this complaint because of a Justin wallet I ordered from Sheplers for my Grandson on December 8th on Amazon.com. Although the Tracking number was issued immediately and I received an email stating it had been shipped, it seems the wallet has spent 9 days at a Grand Prairie Partner shipping facility. The delivery was promised for December 17th. I wrote several emails and received one reply that 'occasionally a shipment arrives a day or more late'. No explanation, no promise of delivery, no offer to expedite.
On December 17, an update was posted to the tracking stating "shipping info sent to USPS". Today, the 19th, is the Christmas party. The tracking information states it has left the partner shipping facility.
I need the gift today for this afternoon. Going to Cavenders in person and getting a Justin wallet there. I will have to deal with the return whenever it shows up. So glad I went through Amazon using my Amazon Prime account.
I sincerely hope that Amazon drops Sheplers as a seller.
I had ordered a pair of boots for a concert my friends and I were going to. I needed two day shipping, so I paid the extra $27 for shipping. By Friday (3 days later) the boots had not arrived yet and I had not received an email about it or anything. I called customer service and the lady told me the item I wanted was out of stock currently. Why wasn't I told that when I placed the order?
After that I decided I would cancel my order, I didn't need the boots after this weekend. I told the lady to cancel it. She said she did.
A week later, boots arrived at my house. I was confused, so I checked my bank account and sure enough they had taken money out for this order.
I called again and explained the situation.
The sent me a return label and I returned them. I called them again because when they charged my account, it over drew it and I got hit with an overdraft fee. I feel they should be responsible for paying that, so they told me what to do to resolve that. I called one last time to make sure I was getting refunded the whole price, not just the price of the boots. Sure enough, I'm only getting refunded the boot price. Why should I pay the shipping on the item when I cancelled the order to begin with?
This is the company's fault, the employees fault, not mine.
I will NEVER EVER do business with them again.
After being told 30 days, then 60 days, then 90 days then, and only after waiting on hold for eternity, I'm told that it will be at least another 90 days, with no guarantee of receiving the order for SIX MONTHS. $650 dollar order and fed a line of crap for months and months. Continually blaiming on their supplier. Bottom line is that Sheplers is selling from an empty cart. No inventory and a pathetic business model that is based on deception derived from the unknown. I will never ever buy another thing from them. They have no interest in doing the right thing for their customers. Their model is based on just finding more suckers for customers and throwing the disgruntled and un served out with the bath water.
What do they care? They don't have to look me in the eye. Just a number in a large % of unsatisfied customers. Well, I think it's only fair that I spend the next SIX MONTHS posting legit reviews about my experience with Sheplers. If I can keep just 2 customers from failing into their trap of deceit and un satisfaction I will have succeeded.
Beware folks. Call and order DIRECTLY from their suppliers and save yourself some GRIEF.
I placed an order on January 13,2017 for a pair of boots and the total was $107.50. I received the order total confirmation shortly after i placed it via email. The next day I received 2 emails stating my order had been placed. Now the totals have changed which now includes tax? If this is not FRAUD I do not know what is. I explained I understand if you have a box store in the state you charge tax but when I confirmed my order the amount did not include tax. I immediately called customer service to question about the 2 orders for the same thing. Note now they have charged my card for both trans actions. One for the product and another charge for the tax? They said "well we will try to stop the shipment of one of the shipments". I said great now I want my account credited back. Was told "They would note this in the system". On January 17 I receive another 2 emails stating my items have shipped? ITEMS not ITEM. 4 days have passed since I placed the order. I called back immediately and they said well I could just return one of them once I received it. So 4 days and they cant stop a shipment. I have been a distribution manger for over 25 yrs. I would have fired each involved on the spot because they cant get this stopped. I told the agent fine, but I want my account credited back immediately and was told they couldn't until I return the item. Its now February 1 and I still have not gotten my account credited back and they have the item I sent back. RUN RUN RUN!

Ordered boots for Christmas gift that they claimed they had in stock on October 28,2017 and have yet to receive my order (12/22/17). Now they claim the boots are coming from their supplier. Cannot cancel order because they claim the order is being processed and I will have to pay shipping to return the order. Repeat the headlines above. Doesn't get any worse than this. Stay away!
I'm always giving them a one because I am forced too should be a negative one! I am Very skeptical about ordering online because it never fits properly so I gave it a shot and I contacted customer service first. The jeans I was looking at were $179 and I wanted three different pair. I asked the girl what the waist size and inseam was because on their website it doesn't show that. Shows the waist size but no inseam length. She told me that they are all 34 inch inseam and that most had to be hemmed which was fine with me. I told her if they were not the correct inseam length and I would have to return them because I normally wear long length. She assured me that it would be accurate and if I had any problems they would give me a complete and full refund. I received the jeans and of course they were 29-30 and were completely wrong. I was furious and I contacted customer service and immediately. She told me to go ahead and return them and they would issue a full refund. Finally after having to call twice and ask about my refund they put it back in which was a month and a half later and they shorted me $10. Avoid this company like the plague they are crooked and very misleading! I do appreciate being lied to not once but several times over.
The customer service for this company is awful. I ordered a pair of Ariat work boots over a month ago for my husband's Christmas present. After three weeks of no communication, I called only to find out that the shoes had been backordered and more would be available on December 18th. Once the 18th had passed and I STILL received no communication, I called AGAIN to inquire about the order. This time, the customer service rep told me that the item had been discontinued and that I would not be receiving the boots at all. This is completely unacceptable. If I had known this earlier, I could have ordered from a different company, but no. An entire month went by and I suspect a longer amount of time would have gone by if I did not contact them. The site itself does not reflect if items are backordered or discontinued. No one emails to inform you of any change in the order status. This is a sorry excuse for a company, and I sincerely hope they go out of business soon. Please do not order from this company unless you have time to waste.
Scammers! They send off-color items and they can't be that lazy to take different photos! They want you to buy and then put gazillion conditions when you ask to return!
The online/phone order personal in the gift card department is not reliable! And the customer service department sucks! I placed my order over the phone with a woman in the gift card dept, was never emailed an order conformation (still haven't received one) and found out that the order wasn't even entered in there system correctly after waiting 7 days for a conformation! It took 3 months for my order to ship, after being told the boots were back ordered for 4 more weeks after calling customer service 3 times (I was told this 3 different times), no-one contacted me to let me know they were back ordered! And after waiting weeks to hear about my order, I sent numerous emails and phones calls to figure out why I was getting charged almost 4 times original amount quoted to me; this amount showed up in my bank account and was only taken off after I called about. I tried several times to cancel my order, but these attempts were ignored and in the end they shipped the product after it was canceled.
I ordered a pair of boots online. I got a confirmation when they received the order, I paid through PayPal, I heard nothing for a month. I called customer service after having my emails ignored, when I gave the order number, she put me on hold, I was disconnected and couldn't get through again. An hour later, I received an email telling me that because they couldn't verify my information, my order had been cancelled. Quite a coincidence that on the day I inquired about not receiving my order, they suddenly realized my information wasn't verifiable. So I called again, this time the woman I spoke to was very rude. She spoke over me, did not let me finish a sentence and told me the reason my order was cancelled was that they'd called my financial institution and they wouldn't verify my info. I managed to finally tell her I paid through PayPal, not a bank. She paused, and said that it's the bank they deal with. So I asked her to explain that to me, since she wouldn't have any bank information for me, it was PayPal. She began to speak loudly and changed her story, telling me that my "zip code" wasn't verified. I told her I'm in Canada, so it's a postal code, which includes letters and numbers, I have the confirmation email from them with my postal code written correctly, so that couldn't possibly be the problem. So, we went back to the story about my financial institution being the culprit. So I asked her if they'd spent the last month contacting a Canadian bank about me, but then today, when I called them, just decided to cancel my order? At this point she became belligerent, I asked for a supervisor, she put me on hold, and that's where I remained for 45 minutes. I carried on with my day, my phone at hand…, no one ever came on the line. After writing this, I will call them again, just to push back.
They took the order…, they just didn't bother to process it.
When I called, they realized that hadn't bothered with it, so simply cancelled it. It's a hell of a way to do business.
I'd suggest strongly, that you purchase elsewhere. It's a shady, dishonest company to say the least.

I had ordered a pair of boots ($160.59) btw and I got 2 day shipping! I was really happy to get them, I opened them up and they had a huge tare in the toe area. So my mom called and talk to a girl named PARIS and she had told my mom she was gonna over night me and another pair on MONDAY well it's Wednesday and I still got nothing. So I've called 3 times including talking to somewhat of a "supervisor" which in my opinion she shouldn't have that job if she's gonna hang up on customers and have an attitude because I waited DAYS for a phone call for my 160$ BOOTS to come in. Whoever she is needs to take some customer service classes and a manners class because that girl had an attitude and she was rude and not to mention she HUNG UP ON ME TWICE. RUDE.

I placed an order on November 26,2017. I got a confirmation of the order stating I would receive an order number in 30 minutes. I got that and only one of the two things I ordered was shown. I tried to call- busy. I called repeatedly- no answer... for days. I tried to email. You have to fill out an email form on their website and then click 'submit.' Nothing happens. I FINALLY got an email on Dec 14 stating the hat I ordered was backordered. I tried again to call to see what was happening with the vest I ordered. This time I was put on hold- for 29 minutes! Then an automated message comes on stating that I am to leave my number for a call back within the next 4 hours. That of course NEVER HAPPENED. I tried emailing at least a dozen times- their email form DOESN"T WORK. I got another email on December 22 saying they were sorry for my delayed order (hat only) and offered me 10% off to place another order. ARE THEY JOKING? There is no way to contact this company. No email address and only the one number that leads to nothing. I would have liked to have canceled the order, but never reached them. I finally got the hat yesterday, January 24,2018! TWO MONTHS after I ordered. Never saw the vest that was one of my son's main gifts. What a horrible company.

The woman I am talking to now- told me they have kept the vest- refunded my money- MINUS $10.00 fee for the label.
She said that as of the "14th" they were no longer returning items and just refunding the money- MINUS a $10.00 label fee.
I asked her: "WHY didn't the woman I spoke to tell me this, as I probably would have opted to just keep the larger vest- rather than have this whole transaction actually cost me "$10.00 for nothing"? Her reply was:

I then told her that what her company was doing was stealing from people.
While I was talking to her, I was searching for any other complaints that may have been made from this company (Probably should have done this BEFORE I even ordered in the first place). But i told her, she should tell her company to go to "sitejabber" and read all the negative comments about them- they really need to clean up their reputation and business practices as they won't last much longer with this type of reputation.
She eventually agreed to make the transaction.
SO- if you just put your foot down- which you shouldn't really have to do-
You can get what you paid for- eventually.

I ordered a ton of items from sheplers excited to receive them. They came in the mail late, in three separate packages, one missing an item. I emailed about the missing item and it is like they don't speak English... completely mis read my email and responded with a whole different answer talking about how the missing item was in a different package. Not true. The item was missing completely. I explained that and they said they would file a missing item report. I said no, just send me the item! They didnt respond. Horrible horrible customer service.
Another item that was in a package was the complete wrong size. It said Medium on the package, but was an XL. Another item didnt fit but I wanted to exchange it. So I sent in the 2 items, one as an exchange, one as a return. I decided, "Screw Shelplers" and want to change the exchange item to a return item so I don't have to deal with their customer service. So I call to do that, and the lady has no idea what I am talking about. I had to ask if I had to give her my order number or how we can change that. She was just silent on the end of the phone when I explained what I wanted. SILENT. Then she forgot what I asked and said later after I gave her my order number "Wait, what do you want?"
I am absolutely appalled by Shepler's. TERRIBLE service, horrible all over.

Answer: I think ur probably better off buying thick wool socks that's what I did when I got the wrong size from here I just bought some big wool socks and now they fit great.
