I needed to send excess luggage from Ireland to NZ and found SendMyBag online. The service and support throughout was excellent, even though I missed the courier pickup! She directed me to a suitable drop-off/meeting point where the lone yellow suitcase was safely dropped off and set on its way home. It arrived in NZ 3 days later, no worse for wear.
Second time using them. First time Italy to US worked well. This time US to Italy has been a disaster. It is 16 days after swe shipped the bags to Italy and they have no arrived and, to make matters worse, their customer service has gone from ok to horrible and gets worse each day. They are now incredibly obnoxious when we ask each day where the bags are. They are stuck in customs, which is not their fault, but had they told us that customs takes weeks this time of year, we would not have used them. So they lied to get our business and now want no part of helping us get updates. Just a horrible experience and we may never see these bags again.
Customer service was excellent in answering queries and the service was fast and efficient.
I have removed one star because there was a misunderstanding around some tape I purchased and I never received the product or a refund. That aside, I would rate the company as excellent and my clothing arrived in perfect condition.

Reviewing your order, I can see that you sent on a 'non holiday' route with ourselves, which as a result, we advise against sending any time sensitive goods on the network. However, understandably the delay was less than ideal, with customs advising that it required food and pharmaceutical approval, which you disagreed with and are currently engaging with them directly regarding the additional charges that were applied.
When sending on a non holiday route, we ask that customers engage with the courier & customs directly to process the release of their shipment from customs.

The collection and drop off were both excellent via Parcel force such Sendmybag uses and it worked really well as a courier. My only ussue is the extras that you pay for such as labels, and the label holders (which I already had). So it ended up being more expensive than at first appeared and that's always annoying. However as far as reliability is concerned I would use them again.
Pros: the itens arrived on time and the service was easy to use.
Cons: several items in my bag arrived broken. Basically everything that could brake arrived in pieces.
A piece of a plate cut through an expensive computer screen.
All right, being honest, fragile material is expected to break, which I was already expecting and don't complain, but then you look at the suitcase itself, a reinforced Samsonite polypropylene item. It was also in pieces, with two big cracks and one of the wheels so badly damaged that it was almost removed from the main body along with a large chunk of polypropylene.
Careless service.
As always shipment booking, collection and arrival go very well. Always on schedule. The only thing I would try to improve is for any surcharges that I sometimes get paid because maybe I make a mistake in entering the measurements of the suitcase. I would like to know right away and not suddenly after 30 days.
My experience using send my bag had been really positive until February 2024, when I sent a suitcase ( made out of rigid plastic, so measurements cannot change that much) from Rome to Madrid. The bag arrived crushed and with one broken wheel, but I didn't complain about it. Little did I know that 2 weeks later, when the suitcase had been unpacked, I would receive a message saying that my bag was bigger than the dimensions I stated. I cannot get my head around how a sturdy suitcase could expand and I'm puzzled that they intend on making me pay 20 extra euro for something I cannot prove, as I unpacked my bag already. Very disappointing.
If you're organised and want to cut out the hassle of dragging large luggage thru airports SendMyBag really does a great job. Arranged transport of bags from London to Dublin. Everything was great. Only small issue is the paperwork due to Brexit... not SendMyBags fault directly... this element could be streamlined a lot more to make it a top top service. Will use again... for intra-EU-transfers for sure! :)

Bag got there and back ok unfortunately never got to open it has we at to fly home early due to Covid pandemic. Send my bag tried to charge extra for return journey saying case was oversize but it hadn't been opened. Obviously as it had been stood for a long time on one end the clothes had settled but explaining that was not enough so had to take photos of case with measurements and send them. Bit of a faf for something obvious but eventually sorted.
2 suitcases to remote area in Spain, too expensive. Nearly £100 extra.

If you will chose this company, be ready to be robbed and pay much more then you see on the price list. First you will get unexpected fuel surcharge, then they will charge you with exceeded volume of your bag. Please do not make my mistake, DO NOT pay exceeded volume charges. They will not tell that you have an option not to pay and just to dispute. Even if you open a dispute and provide all the proves of your innocence, they will never return you your money, they will just steal them. They will never accept any of your proves and will never provide any proves from their side. Do not recommend

We can only present a customer with an accurate quote whenever they enter the size / weight of their items using our quote tool. When you entered yours it provided you with your quote and the additional fuel surcharge that's currently in place.
Whilst your item was travelling through the network we received a notification from our courier partner that there was a discrepancy with the size of your suitcase. We sent you an email offering you to dispute the charge if you believed this was incorrect or if a customer used estimates they can pay the outstanding balance. You opted to pay the charge and emailed the team the next day to start a dispute.
I have been engaging with you following a negative review on another platform at the beginning of April. Explaining why we could not accept one of the images (as the images do not show the measurements from the widest points). However, you rejected to provide these. I am more than happy to continue to review the dispute if you are able to provide the 2 revised images showing measurements from the widest points.

If you want your goods to arrive, don't use. If you want what goods do arrive to be undamaged, do not use. In conclusion, do not use.
They offer a promising product but on the face it is a shambles and a scam. They give you guidelines for packing your shipment and even when followed and things don't arrive and arrive damaged they will squirm their way out of paying any form of compensation.
Back and forth over missing goods and damaged goods and the maximum they offered was £125 (the shipment fee) back to you. After spending £700 on the order and having the extra insurance in place they have the audacity to offer this as compensation.
Save yourself the hassle and don't use them. Pay the extra money and use a proper removals and relocation company.
Do not deal with these scam artists and criminals.
I was looking to send a small case to Spain and I was very nervous about sending one but my fears were dispelled when I spoke to someone at customer service. Every time I phoned I was I spoke to someone who was very courteous polite and reassuring about my bag and that it was on its way. I had download the app which help me to track it. It arrived in good time at the destination the return journey did take a bit longer. But I was kept up todays every time I phone the company. So I would highly recommend them. I planned to use them new year
This was so much easier than Fedex. The website walked me through all the info that I would need to ship a suitcase to my daughter in Italy. She will be using it again to ship her bag back to the US.
I have used send a bag on numerous occasions and will continue to do so. The website is easy to navigate and very efficient. They picked up my bag on the said day and they delivered it the next day.
It may initially seem complicated to complete the paperwork, but it really isn't difficult and once done, it assures a fast and safe process to deliver your bag or parcel to it's destination. This is the second time that I have used the service and I was delighted with the service and availability of tracking information throughout! Brilliant service without having to leave home.
Such a great company to use when sending bags globally. Seamless experience, great app to track your bags and always on time. 11/10 service, have used them many times in the past and will be using again in the future.

Answer: Scam, additional charges added, no explanation and letters of demand following, this is not an ethical business.
Answer: Avoid sendmybag if you can Would give a negative rating if I could. Had 2 bags delivered, they lost one and damaged the other. On top of that are now refusing to process a claim. I have read other reviews to know they do this on a regular basis. Companies like this shouldn't be allowed to operate. 0 marks for doing there job and a definite negative on customer support.

Reviewing your order I can see that once all pieces arrived into the country the courier began customs clearance, understandably customs are a government body, we had forwarded all your documentation to assist with this and allow clearance to be processed.
We were notified on Thursday 25th July that the shipment contained prescription medication which is unfortunately prohibited on the service, we recommended direct contact with the courier to explain this and I can see your shipment was granted a release from customs today. We will continue to monitor this closely until delivery.
