Man I wished I had checked this site before using this scam of a business! I have only gotten one email that they received my device... no other communicating. No response to my emails and pre recorded crap about calling outside of business hours!? How can they just keep people's phones? Filed a complaint with BBB and looking at other avenues. Hopefully a class action or something... sooooo pissed off!
Sent in my iphone 6 cracked screen pretty bad they gave me a quote of 20.00 so im like no send it back to me turns out u need to call them to request that. I called the number 5-9 times and always got a busy tone I was getting pissed that I was not able to get through and was thinking this is really a scam finally was able to get to them and they worked with me offered me 60.00 for my phone I took it and they will have the payment in my account on Monday im glad she was able to help. I would not do this again I would just sell the phone on ebay or craiglist in the future.
This story happened 2 years ago but I'm still not over it because I really needed the money.
I brought the phone for (close to) $300.00 (that was the price at the time). The phone was in great condition when I brought it (a couple scratches, hardly noticeable) and I kept it that way. Recently I tried to sell it for the soul purpose of the incapabiblity of phone networks. I tried selling it before but I'm not a good sales person. I hate selling things. So about a month ago, I was looking through the Internet for a way to sell the phone and came across this site "(sell your cell) ". A company that purchases used phones. I looked at the appraisal. It was a good amount. It was mentioned that they can refuse to buy it. Yet, they accepted it. (The company also recycles phones). Anyway, when I sent the phone there, took a long time for them to respond. I sent an email reading "I would like an appraisal before you do anything with the phone (in so many words) when they took to long, I called to find out what was going on... The representative told me that they will be giving me $10 TEN Dollars! For a phone that I purchased for close to & 300.00. I was furious. They need to be taken care of and it's been a while but I'm not letting go.
Do not ever send any electronics to this company! They will you rip you off! I sent two device Samsung notes quoted $96 and iPhone plus quoted $425. Took two month and sent an email: Samsung notes valued $0 and has been recycled; iPhone plus $59. I called them and asked to return the devices to me. They said both have been recycled.
Sell-your-cell.com quoted $338 for my (64 gig) iPhone 6 Plus and upon receipt they emailed me a $30 offer! I immediately emailed them declining the offer and demanded my iPhone be returned. Then I called them to do the same and was told it was recycled and the best they could do was an additional $25. WTF! I'm beyond pissed but don't know what I can do. It is obvious this is standard procedure! Solutions anyone?
I completed their form, and was told my phone was worth $110. I mailed them the phone, and got an email saying they were sending me $7! What a complete ripoff! And apparently, I'm not the only one who has had the same experience. Just wish I would have known before doing business with these con artists. AVOID THIS COMPANY!
This website is an absolute scam. I recently used them to recycle an iPhone 5c. I was initially excited by the website, because after choosing my phone model, it stated I could receive up to $107 for that phone (a good $20 more than similar websites). Since my phone was only one year old and in good working condition, I assumed I would receive close to that amount. I knew I would receive a little less because I hadn't sent the charger in with it, but I never expected quite as little as they gave me - $11. This site uses horrible false advertising to make you think you will get a lot for your phone. I will never use them again.
Just found out FTC shut them down according to nugistics. They are hold all packages in sparks NV until they decide what to do with them. You may be able to track your shipment if you kept your tracking number or they emailed you a shipping conformation. All in all they were scamming people out of money for low balling offers different than what they offered online.
The worst of the worst. Complete and total scam company. Quoted $108, sent only $8. Can you believe it? An iPhone5s for $8... and they did the $108 IN WRITING! But since they are in Nevada, there is nothing you can do unless you want to fly to Nevada to file charges. They musty know this and keep operating this way. The Feds should shut them down!
I was given an estimate of $160. I received email correspondence from them all through the process. Then suddenly I received an email saying that a check for $22 had been sent. I called immediately and was told that there was wear on my phone that didn't exist. When I said I would rather have the phone back, I was informed that the phone had already been recycled and that I would have to take their offer. I stated that I didn't accept their offer. They claimed that they had sent an email with the offer and that after five days with no response they are entitled to assume my acceptance. I never received any such email. I was not allowed to speak with a supervisor. This is pure thievery, dishonest business practice. My only recourse is to warn as many people as possible. Don't use them. Please share this information with friends.
I got an estimate for my iPhone 5s for $110. So I sent the phone in. They emailed me once saying that my phone was locked, and because of that I had to call them. When I called them they said it was to late and sent me a $7 check. I said I wanted my phone back and they said no. It's policy and to make it right they would send me another $7 check. I would never use them again. I've used gazelle before a couple times and never had an issue. Stay away from this horrible company.
I got a quote of $190 for my HTC One Max. Sent them my phone. A received an email that they had received my phone and it was in for inspection. 10 days later I hadn't heard from them. I called and they said that my phone had a cracked LCD screen and was worthless. They asked if I wanted them to dispose of it. I told them to send it back to me. A week went by and nothing. I called again and they said they didn't know why it was not sent back. Long story short, when I finally got it back I sent the phone to a competitor and they paid instantly and there was nothing wrong with my phone. Don't use this company.
I recently sent them my lg3 based on their ad they say 140 my phone was only 3mos old. They sent me one email saying they recieved it and one saying checks on its way. For 15.00 this place is total scam and please stay away.
Jacked out of a 128gb iPhone 6s, 2 weeks ago, wish I would have seen all these reviews first. Stay clear of these a-holes, I've contacted the UPS store they do business out of and local law enforcement (Reno) in hopes someone will investigate and sue these fraudsters and put their asses behind bars.
When a first issue, arises - typically parties can work out details... When a second issue surfaces - The company ONCE AGAIN ripped off another consumer! They use the excuse of telephone voice mail... Their email system is set as an auto-responder... Please do yourself a BIG favor and STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!
There are under investigation by the FBI and FCC don't sent any phones to them I lost two phone all phone have ser# number so that how they are going to proceed Rip off
I figured the $158 quote was reasonable for a cracked 16GB iPhone 5S so I printed out the label and prepared to send. Something made me look into this company more so I called - busy. Called again - busy. I thought it was odd that I had not received an email to even confirm I signed up so I tried to log in and I couldn't even do that. So I called again - busy. I did a search on the number and it led me to this site and I read ALL of the poor reviews. Luckily I didn't have to go through as much as the others but I could see that I would have been the next victim for sure.
I SENT SELL -YOUR CELL AND THEY NEVER RESOND TO MY CALLS WROTE THEM AT THAT ADDRESS AND NO CHECK AND OUT OF A GREAT PHONE DO NOT USE THIS SITE TOTAL RIP OFF CON MEN
They quoted me $360 for my iphone6. I asked for them to send me boxes to ship and so I used their boxes. When i got notification they said it was only worth $56 so I called they returned call and said it was only worth $100 (BS!). They also said the 2nd box arrived opened and the other phone was stolen. (BS Again I bet!) THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM and their business line keeps saying I'm calling outside of business hours (BS again!)
They will entice you with a great "estimate" then once you send your phone they screw you royally My iPhone 6 estimated at $225 I was like wow ATandT said $85 Ill take it they come back and say its worth $35 and since once I sent them the hone I agreed to their terms and conditions which is they give you what they want almost nothing
STAY AWAY FROM THIS RIP OFF OF A COMPANY
