A great hunter replacement blind.

We have Hunter pleated shades throughout our house, but found them cost prohibitive when I went to replace one of them after renovation. I asked around for recommendations and the name select blinds came up. So I did my research, spoke with a select blinds, designer a couple of times and placed my order.

Parts department inept and slow to respond

I placed a very large order for my new home with Select Blinds. Overall, the products are good.
However, With 5 woven blinds, I was short 12 screws and could not hang the blinds. Hence no privacy.

I placed the request for the missing screws on February 19th and was told they would be FED Ex'd in a few days and got a text confirmation that they were shipped. That turned out to be a lie, they were never sent.

I spoke to a great representative and again requested replacement screws. It took over a week to process and they were not FED EX'd but sent snail mail on April 2nd and only showed up today... 7 WEEKS AFTER THE INITIAL REQUEST!

They are THE WRONG SCREWS and WILL NOT HOLD UP THE BLINDS PROPERLY.

The original screws were 1 1/4" long and had an upraised thick flat head so the bracket could be securely screwed into the window box and the blind could be slid over the screw head to secure them.

The screws sent are only 1/2" long and have a shallow round head that is not long enough to secure the bracket into the window box nor have a screw head that would allow for the blind to slide over the head of the screw to secure it. They're useless.

Needless to say, I am frustrated and very disappointed in the ineptness of Select Blinds. We have no privacy without the blinds and have been waiting to have this resolved for 7 Weeks. This is inexcusable.

Levolor Solar Shades are great!

I recently ordered 2 solar shades-1 for a bathroom window & the other for a laundry room window. Both shades looked great when installed, which was not too hard to do.
Unfortunately, I did not order valances, so the roller@ the top of each shade was visible. The shades definitely needed the valance to make it look complete.

Super Easy - Exactly what I wanted

I'm a cautious buyer, so after many considerations, I decided on the Cordless Light Filtering Top Down Bottom Up Shades with inside mount - No Drill Blinds. I got this for my bathroom window. Now we can allow light in from the top and still have privacy. I love that this was secured with tension and I didn't need to drill my beautiful wood frames. This shade folds slim, so I can place it at my center pane and it allows full view of my backyard.

Not very clear description on the website. I order motorized blind thinking I need two Remotes. I order two, paid for two remotes and my package has only one remote. Last time reach out to customer service that I want to return one remote, they said it's not returnable.

Two stars are for the fact that they are blinds. Yet their springs are so loose it takes two hands to close a narrow blind. I bought two blackout blinds for our bedroom French doors. One didn't work after installation, and the 2nd didn't close after 3 or 4 uses. We returned the blinds under Select Blinds warranty and the 2nd pair are identical to the first - they don't close on the 1st day! And require two hands slowly maneuvering them to close. Don't be fooled by the liberal warranty offer - that's no guarantee the replacement blinds will work. Maybe they'll replace the blinds the 3rd time, but eventually we will tire of asking Select Blinds to make it right. (I DO have proof of purchase for this website, but can't get it attached!)
