On Sunday, I purchased a chair from seatingmind.com but changed my mind right away - I asked Jacob for a refund and he processed it immediately on the next business day! Customer service was excellent!
My experience with Seatingminds was awful, the worst customer service ever. I ask them to call me, never received a call. The chair I received was used with dirty wheels, seat with lent all over it, and a missing headrest. I will be requesting a return and refund today. I ask for a call and customer service has denied me that right as a customer. It is apparent this is a one man shop, who lacks any customer service skills at all. Jacob takes your money, you wait over a month to get the chair and then it's used and missing parts. Why can't the consumer care about their customers? Just feed up...stay away and save yourself from unnecessary stress. They are too unprofessional to be in business!
Terrible. We were given conflicting shipping and delivery dates. We were given different shippers, with tracking numbers. No one (live person) would talk to us. I wanted to cancel but we had already been billed and had paid for the chair. One thing I know for sure. We will not order from this company again.
I messaged the company to inquire about a purchase and got a boiler-plate email response, then this survey before the product had even arrived (and no one has as of yet responded to my inquiry). Great prices, robo-customer service.
While the chair was advertised as refurbished, it's basically just used. It doesn't appear that any effort was made to clean it up or otherwise refurbish it except to replace some original parts (back support adjustment mechanism and armrests) with clearly inferior parts.
I understand the chair is refurbished, which is why you pay a discounted rate. However, the chair arrived extremely dirty, with rusty screws, and with hair wrapped up in the caster wheels. When I buy a refurbished product I expect it to at least be cleaned or inspected for quality control. Does the chair work? Absolutely. Was it worth $500? Not in the condition it arrived.
It's been very easy. It did take a bit more time than I expected. Fedex informed me of an earlier delivery date and for some reason it took more than a week after that to arrive, but I wrote to SeatingMind and they told me how they actually build the chairs carefully upon orders. I have no problem waiting for it, just perhaps a heads up would be good.
I received my order today and in no way is this in a 'restored to like new condition'. It was so dirty it take me over an hour to clean it up. The casters wouldn't even turn and I had to cut hair out of them to make the functional. Every piece of metal on the chair is so scratched and gouged it looks like someone dragged the chair across pavement.
I do not see how you can say this is 'like new'. I am appalled that you charge $500 for a dirty, damaged, 13 year old chair. Ridiculous.
Product was as described and customer service response was fast. Overall I am satisfied with the shopping experience with them. The only thing that needs improvement is shipment. A shipment label was created next day the order placed, but there were no updates for next 10 days shown as 'shipment pending'. So I had to contact the costumer service to ask when I would be able to receive it. The response was quick though, heard from them on the same day and next day my order was shipped. Going forward I just hope if delivery takes time then I would like to get informed in advance.
I ordered nearly a month ago, order hasn't arrived, haven't been able to login to the website, haven't heard anything about an estimated delivery date, on the verge of having my credit card company stop/retrieve payment on the order. Your website seems to be completely broken.
Not a good purchase - ordered six chairs for a discount (saved $600+ by ordering here vs. through my designer) and the chairs were not great. All had scratches on them and looked REALLY used. One chair showed up with a broken arm. The solution was for Seatingminds to send me a new arm that I would have to replace myself. They also sent a "how to" video that only showed the beginning of how to take the chair apart. The customer service team only replied to half my questions and it took forever. On top of that, the shipping company was impossible to get a hold of and we had delivery issues. Spend a little more money and go elsewhere.
The chair is great. It came late and customer service was slow to respond and they did so with curt, unprofessional messages. The chair also did not arrive in the advertised "like new" condition, but they were kind enough to refund a portion of the cost. So a mixed experience but in the end I got a chair I love at a good price, so I would still recommend this to anyone interested.
The communication, post purchase, was not good. I never received a notification when our products shipped. We were pretty much in the dark until the day before the product arrived, and that was only because I went back and checked the web site to find the tracking information. Pretty much any ecommerce site you use in this day and age sends you either an email or text message notification when your product ships. There was no expectation set by the web site when the product would ship either. It was all ranges, nothing specific. When the product arrived it was in good shape except that some of the seats main seat post dragged slightly on the ground when you roll the chair. I notified the site but it was obvious getting them to make this right was going to be a challenge, so we are putting up with it. We will not be purchasing from seatingmind again.
The chair was in a very poor condition with broken items and missing parts. The customer service is very poor.
It came very dirty, especially the wheels with grease and unknown gross black chemical dirts. It took me over 1 hour to clean.
I contacted the customer service multiple times and finally made it to promise to send the broken and missing parts. But they did not send them. I bought it two months ago, and this is what I got.
Beware, customers. They may sell luxury brand chair with relatively competitive price compared to the new ones, but there is a reason for that. It is still too expensive given the poor product quality.
BEWARE of this company. The photos they provide and descriptions they pen are simply Creative Writing 101. I received a 'refurbished' chair which they touted as being 'a brand new chair.' Not so. NOT EVEN close. I was completely willing to accept a chair that didn't look brand new - but the one I received was soiled on the seat as well as the backing. Looks like the chair had previously been in a car repair shop with oily hands along the edges of the mesh backing and seat. Yuck. I ordered it AUG 30 - was told it would be delivered SEPT 7 - but then given a myriad of excuses for it not being delivered until SEPT 18. They sent me a "Review Products You Received" on the 7th - which was impossible as I had yet to receive it. Waited another 11 days to get it. When I then tried to rate them - the link had (no surprise) expired. I reached out to ask how I could rate their service and product - and have yet to hear back. Below is the description of the "refurbished" chair I purchased:

ZERO desire to spend the time, effort and money to send it back - yeah, 30-day hassle free money back guarantee. I would be spending half of what they refund me in shipping it back - as I'm sure returning it won't be free. Attached some photos - to convey an idea of how dirty it is. NO ONE even attempted to clean it... so much for the 'multi-point inspection' they have. The metal surfaces of the chair are dusty and the chair rollers do not roll. What a joke. Don't waste your time people. You've been dutifully warned.
Hi. We ordered this chair back in April and it said it shipped shortly after that. I have checked tracking and it never left your building. I have called and emailed and only received general automatic responses. No one has called me back or spoken specifically about what we ordered, when it will actually ship, or if we should maybe cancel our item. I don't even know how to get ahold of someone to cancel our order at this point.
Horrific support. System decided to process an order, when submit order was never completed. Within minutes of receiving an email that order was placed, sent an email asking to cancel order as I did not submit it. But no response. The charge is listed on my credit card, and there has been no response to the numerous emails
I was over the moon to find the chairs I was looking for, as they were sold out everywhere else I found them. The price was great and I got a discount for ordering 6. After I received my order confirmation, I then got an email stating they were on back order and no restocking date was available. I was furnishing an office, so had to go elsewhere, therefore, I requested a refund.
I didn't hear back after my initial request, but rather got an email stating there was a new chair style in stock and I could exchange. I restated I needed the refund. I received word that I would be issued the refund, only to get a separate email a few days later letting me know the same chairs, in a different color were in stock, and if I wanted to put my credit towards them instead. I stressed I had requested the refund and was assured they would move forward with processing. I have received no other word from customer service and it hasn't shown up on my statement yet, so I continue to wait.
They had a great price online so I ordered an Aeron chair. I got an immediate confirmation and was told the order would be processed within 10 days. Nearly 3 weeks later I had received nothing. I followed up and received a polite reply that Aeron orders took 10 days to process. Well it's now been 3 weeks and my order hasn't been "processed". We will see what happens, but this is strange?
We received our chairs however they are in pretty bad shape compared to what we expected, they are both dirty and beat up. We were expecting like new/refurbished condition but these two chairs both have immediate visible issues.
Chair #1: Stains on the seat, chips on the plastic, soiled seat with white dust all over it and just looks beat up all around.
Chair #2: Fabric on the seat looks like it was hastily replaced and on day two of use is bunching in the back and the arm rests are worn out.
We decided to go with you guys because we thought saving a little money on the purchase couldn't hurt as it looks like your reviews etc are good.
Pretty disappointed with the product we received and honestly dont really want these-in the condition they are in-in our office.

Answer: This company may be legit, but from the research I have done online after my purchase experience with them, they totally scam people with their outrageous "restocking fee" policy.
Answer: Prices. But you're getting used stuff in god-only-knows condition. Stick with garage sales. These guys are shady. Beware.
