Worst customer service ever- tech came to repair my fridge, barely looked at the trickle coming from my water dispenser & charged me $147 and said I need a plumber. Plumber said normal water pressure to fridge, charged me $85. Then i got a GE repair tech who actually tested, said it was a bad filter and changed it totally fixed for $105. Can't get a human to talk to me from sears, waited on hold forever and then they dumped me back into the queue and then disconnected my call, chat gave me an email that bounces, Twitter initially responded and then nothing I want my $147 and $85 reimbursed. Will NEVER use them again.

Worst Service Ever
April 15, 2020

Please avoid this company. Waste of time and money. Technician quoted price for total repair but failed to state parts would come to home. He put the wrong city down and parts went back and was reshipped 3 weeks later. During the 3 weeks looking for the parts I was given 8 different numbers to contact to see where the parts are. Once technician finally arrived he wanted more money for labor which would have been over $500.00 for refrigerator repair which wasn't told to me at the beginning.

Have a 2 year old Kenmore Elite refrigerator. Cooling and freezer went out and called for repair which arrived the next day on April 1. Replaced the compressor and other stuff. Workman said it was likely to go out again in 2-3 days because of interchangeable parts are not truly interchangeable. Cooling and freezer went out again 10 days later. Called for repair and received appointment for one week from call. Complained to a supervisor who said I might be able to call the warranty center at 7 am and schedule an emergency repair for today being Saturday. Turns out Sears does not work on weekends blaming emergency rules. Supervisor did not have important info or else he was trying to get rid of me. My complaints were not on the script that they read. Also this warranty department does not have my email address which is funny because they emailed me a receipt after the April 1 repair visit. Seems like Sears left hand does not know what its right hand is doing. Very disappointed in this Kenmore Elite because it was rated better than Samsung but it turns out to be made by LG which is equally as crappy. Received advice that it is best to buy the cheapest no-frills fridge and wait until it craps out and buy another cheap no-frills replacement which will probably save money over time. Have to deal with ice in ice chests now for the next week until I get my maybe repair done again. One more repair and I can make legal noise as this product could be considered to be a "lemon" in California

Ridiculous price!
April 9, 2020

It costed me $271 to replace a thermostat for the hot water heater and it took two trips to get this done. The first came a guy to reset the thermostat which charged me $199. Three days later, it stoped working. The second guy came to replace the thermostat which added another $72 (part included). I am glad it finally got done. But the price is just ridiculous.

Terrible customer service. Just doesn't show up for scheduled appointments. No attempt made to contact us. Avoid using these unethical people unless you just want to waste your time. I see why Sears is broke. Very poor excuse for a business.

Kenmore elite fridge
March 26, 2020

Don't buy. They have compressor problems. Sears won't take care of their customers. If you don't have warranty the repair people charge outrageous cost. To replace a compressor that was covered under warranty but labor wasn't was $500. Was without a fridge for 3 weeks waiting to get a repair person here. Buy something else.

I wish I would have seen these reviews before. Do not call this company. I will try and be as brief as possible in summarizing my last two months of wasted time. Called for service. Serviceman ordered parts and scheduled follow up installation. On the day of scheduled installation, the serviceman cancelled because no one called to confirm delivery of the parts. Service rescheduled. Prior to scheduled time of arrival, serviceman called and after learning of the magnitude of the job, cancelled, saying no one told him the job was so large. He put in his notes that I cancelled the appointment. Having had enough, I decided to return the parts and just buy a new refrigerator. I made at least 5 calls to the call center, which is in India. There is a language barrier. I was constantly told I would receive either a call or return shipping label. I never did, until I finally reached a person at a call center in America. He immediately emailed me a return label. You can guess what happened next. Call after call asking about my refund. The last status is that I will receive a check in 21 business days! The check will be less $15 for a processing fee to cash the check! I disputed this and need to call back to find the result. I'm sure you can guess what I will be doing in 21 business days -- calling to ask about the status of my check and $15 dispute. This has to be one of the worst companies in the world. I will not only ever use them again, but will spend my life saving others from such grief.

A whole star is too much. Apparently making an appointment on line is absolutely worthless. The 8-5 window means nothing. Tried to call to see what time the tech will be there and got someone from India to tell me "exact" time of 5:29pm. Not when scheduled, after sitting around ALL day waiting for someone to let me know a more precise time as the confirmation of appointment said they would do. Got a call at 7:20pm to tell me that I was number 17 on the 17 appointments scheduled for the day. The tech would go into over time to get to me and they would not approve it. So insanely frustrating and complete waste of time. Could never get a hold of a supervisor or the local dispatch unit. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.

I called to set up an appointment to get the belt replaced on our washer/dryer unit. When calling to make the appointment I was clear about the model number, what it was (a stacked unit) and that a belt needed to be replaced. Based on previous experience I wanted to make sure the technician knew so he could make certain he had the part needed and, if additional help was required arrangements would be made. So - of course, the technician showed up (very nice) but without having the information provided. So, had to pay the $89 "estimate" fee to be told I'd have to schedule a follow-up appointment which would probably be another 3 weeks out as he didn't have the part, didn't have an assistant, etc. But had to try and sell me their warranty plan for "only" $49.99 with a $75 deductible covering all appliances. So, basically a $600 per year. I cancelled any further visits and obviously declined their warranty offer. I went on and researched, ordered the part myself online, ordered the replacement part ($7.50) looked at various videos to figure out we could replace it ourselves. Sears Home Services is not the Sears we all knew and grew up with - sold to a company who bought the name. I can't discourage consumers enough NOT to call them.

Had a so called expert who said I needed a condenser put in our refrigerator well it worked for just over 30 days the next guy was watching videos on YouTube on how to test the electrical parts and called someone else they told him I needed a compressor, mother board and inverter board that would have been 1600. 00 or more the tech that was here tested the compressor and said it just needed the boards I bought the boards, put them in 300.00 for the boards they did not fix the refrigerator the inverter board still has the red light on for the refrigerator unlike the inverter board for the freezer it is green so I put in the 2 temperature sensors it is showing the temperature at 50 where it said 38 which was not correct but when I had the condenser cover off I then saw how the guy did not care he melted and burned the plastic in the refrigerator he did not use a shield it could very well have melted wiring in the back wall of the refrigerator from what I have seen and had happen these guys are not experts 2 service calls from them paid for both also paid for the condenser parts and replacement refrigerator still not working to this day

For starters, it took them three times to come and just replace a heating element on our dryer. The technician Gregory put a faulty part in and was extremely rude, leaving my dryer not pushed back in its place so that when my husband came home he had to manually move it. When the second repairman came, he didn't even have the replacement part and made me wait all day and then accidentally sent it to another address. Finally, Gregory came back today and was again rude literally tossing my phone in my face because he didn't want to talk to my husband about the repairs. And even though this dryer has worked perfectly for 15 years, and when he put the new part in it lasted for only two dry cycles, he found a way to blame us somehow for the faulty part.
Add to that, all the calls are screened through other countries with agents who speak very poor English and are not helpful at all. Boy, Sears has really gone down the tubes. Will never use them again!

They came, did a diagnostic on my leaking washing machine for $89. I paid the $89 via credit card with the technician. I was emailed a receipt immediately, it shows up on my credit card statement and yet, I'm getting harassed with bills and when I call, they can't find my payment. Will NEVER EVER use this service again.

Crock & Scammer
February 6, 2020

We had an issue with our GE clothes washer. It started making s noise when my wife was washing our clothes. The next morning I called and made an appointment. It took 3 weeks to find a repair person to come and fix. So finally the repair man showed up and charged us $75.00 and he told us that your clothes washer needs to be replaced. After nearly 2 weeks got a call from Sears Home Services that our clothes washer is no covered, the lady told us that it's your fault and Sears is not going to replace it. The representative told us that it's the owners responsibility. Please tell all your friends and families NOT to get any kind of a service done at a crock, scammer and a bankrupt company.

Awful service
January 27, 2020

Bought a Kenmore 500 series washer and dryer. After 4 months, the washer is already making noise in motor area. A tech came out and said he fixed it. Washed a load after he left and same noise is still there... not fixed. Scheduled another appointment for the following Saturday 1/25/2020 and no one called or showed up. Waited at home 5 hours for the tech and missed half a day of work and not even a call to say hey not going to make it. Called today to reschedule and now no Saturday's are available through February 2020. So now I am out $1200 with a noisy washer to show for the money I spent. Last time I am doing business with Sears. I can see why they are closing stores. Lousy products and poor service. If I could give 0 stars I would.

They were at my home every Tuesday in November and then multiple times after that to repair a Bosch dishwasher purchased at Sears. Latter I discovered that Sears is NOT CERTIFIED TO REPAIR BOSCH DISHWASHERS! Yet they sell them and come and WASTE MY TIME AND ACT AS THOUGH MY TIME IS WORTH NOTHING!

AVOID BUYING ANYTHING FROM OR USING SEARS TO SEVICE ANYTHING!

4 hour window and they never showed up twice! They don't communicate this until the end of the four hour window. They don't give you any clue of your place in line. My dryer is still broken.
Would give 0 stars if I could

No techs in your area
January 22, 2020

Horrible experience. Kenmore Elite Fridge compressor is under warranty. Sears has no techs in our zip code. A&E repair says Sears has to have a tech come out and say if part is under warranty. Neither side is helping. And still without a fridge. This has happened since Sears went out of business in Missoula, MT. It's not just them though. CUSUSTOMER SERVICE IN AMERICA IS HORRIBLE OVERALL.

The worst service ever
January 21, 2020

If I could give them minus stars I would. What they don't tell you when you call for an appointment is they will try and up-sale you a maintance service policy on all your appliances. If you refuse to buy it, then they won't fix your appliance you called them on. They told me it would be $250 to fix my dryer, but I had to purchase an additional $50 a month maintanance contract ($600 a year) on my appliance or they wouldn't fix my dryer. You're out the $99 service fee, and your appliance still isn't fixed. I ended up fixing it myself for $35 in parts and an hour work. They're listed with a local address and phone number, but you're switched to a national call center. THIS IS A SCAM! Do NOT do business with Sears!

Technician was fine. But the charges for less than 30 minutes were ridiculous. Part was only $12.99, but the labor and service call were $221.54.
