Worse service ever received they sent A&E repair all he did was look on his phone told me parts are unavailable. I asked about diagnostic charge he said he can't do service calls for nothing and left. I called Sears to complained first woman lied to me, said they would refund my money, when I found out the didn't, second person gave me an invalid email address to ask for a refund. Third man gave me corrected email address which was also invalid. Nothing ever refunded, no diagnostic test no satisfaction. This company is terrible.

I am actually looking forward to my extended warranty ending in July so I can buy a dishwasher from another company. Never again.

The technician come and was talking on his phone for instructions on how to do his work. What an on-site training! Unbelievable. He told us to do more exam we have to pay another 600$ besides the current exam fee. What the heck and advise us to buy a new one. My husband asked him a very relevant and basic question about our fridge but he couldn't even answer. What a layman! Btw, as he promised will send the report which is a very vague and simple invoice with the nothing about the exam results.

Terrible Organization
February 4, 2022

I first contacted Sears on 12/31. The first technician visited 1/5. He ordered 5 parts. On 1/25, a different technician shows up to complete the job. He determines that all the wrong parts were ordered by the first tech. Now a new part needed to be ordered. And now this part is delayed, and we're going to miss the 2/9 appointment. The forced us to pay for labor / parts upfront or they were going to walk out the door and my file wouldn't be saved. Our fridge was down and we had no choice. Terrible, terrible place. Find someone else.

I purchased a refrigerator from Sears about 4 years ago. It started having problems recently. Frost build up on food in the freezer and sometimes big thaws. Then the refrigerator portion wasn't keeping properly cold. Scheduled a service person online which indicated the fee would be $109. The repair person arrived, looked at the fridge and said the thermostat needs to be replaced and it would cost $369. I was shocked. The whole fridge cost a little over $500. I indicated that that was a bit expensive. Then he proceeded to try to sell me some kind of service agreement for $54 a month. Over $600 a year for...? I told him I think I'll just buy another refrigerator. He, using a fear tactic during the pandemic, said "If you can find one". "Not everyone can work on these refrigerators". *He seemed to think I wasn't going to buy another one". I told him, "I've had this fridge for about 4 years and I just don't trust it, I'll get a new one". He did try to sell the $54/mo service again. When he was convinced I wasn't having the repair done - nor taking the bait on the repair service agreement... He added insult to injury! "Because you didn't accept the estimate there would be an added fee. So? Instead of the $109 I had anticipated paying? It cost $179 to have this experience! Vowed to never buy from Sears again. Promptly ordered a new fridge from another retailer. Cross your fingers for me. *On average refrigerators last 13 years.

My dishwasher went down they ordered the parts. Another guy came and how no idea how to get the progrmas or help or what to do. He told me to call the manufacturer even though I have no contract with them and its beyond their warranty. They also refused to give me anything in writing so I could go to Bosch. I want them to honor the contract to repair, buy it out or return all of my monthly payments as they have failed to honor their own contract. This is not the sears I knew and loved.

Fridge went down. I'm off of work on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They had no open dates for a month for those two days. They must be short staffed on technicians. Now, I have to call a local repairman. Wasted my money on this service. I would not recommend this service.
Also the website is hard to use. It would not recognize my email address, even though I had just confirmed it two days prior, with a phone operator.
It's no wonder that sears went out of business.

Hard to review when they just don't show up. Appoint scheduled and confirmed. A sears service tech was to come to our home between 8 and Noon. Never showed. When I contacted Sears they claim the service persons truck broke down and he would not be able to come out that day. My question was why did I not receive a call, text or email. They had my numbers and email and had confirmed twice on both text and email the day before and the day of. So a call to cancel would have been easy for them. Very Disappointed, Bad Form, I won't be calling them again

Had an appt today. Anytime from 8-5 on schedule. Received email saying they will be here 2:30 to 3:56. No one arrived by 4:00 pm. Got online talked to agent... said they were running late but would be here today for sure. Website showed new arrival time of 6:24. After 2 hrs the website never updated. I received email stating today's appointment (freezer not working) was rescheduled 5 days from now! Needless to say, I will NEVER use this crappy business again!

I have a home warranty with Choice Home warranty. On Dec. 6 i initiated a claim for a repair for my washing machine. Sears home services sent a repairman 2 days later. He diagnosed the problem, ordered minimal parts and rescheduled the repair for Dec. 20... which i thought was a long time to wait. The parts arrived at my home and on 12/20 i got an email that the repair could not be completed that day and was rescheduled for 12/22. On 12/22 i got another email stating the repair would be rescheduled, yet again, this time for 12/30! I made several phone calls to express my displeasure for the cancelled appointments and was told there was nothing they could do to get someone to my home any sooner. Well today was the big day. I was going to get my washing machine finally fixed. I was expecting a phone call (thats how it happened the first time) from the repair guy telling me he was on his way. I was going to work and would drive home to meet him when he called. I have a job and cannot sit at home for potential 4 hour window waiting for a call. I was half way to work when i got a text saying he had been to my home but left when no one was home. I was furious! Called them right away, promised a phone call back... nothing. I just spoke to another "supervisor" at sears home services explaining in great detail everything that has happened over the past 24 days but was told the next available appointment wasnt until Jan 7 and that the technician had other appointment obligations to fill. I suggested that "they" cancel someone elses appointment... someone who hasn't been waiting 24 days like I have (like they had done to me twice), reschedule them for a later date and give me their appointment today or tomorrow. He said he "liked" my idea but did not offer to follow through on it. Ridiculous! Also ridiculous that every single person i spoke to at Sears and Choice Home warranty had a foreign accent so i know i was not even talking to someone based in the USA. Stay away from Choice Home Warranty and beware of Sears Home services! Neither should be in business

Set my Dryer on fire
December 29, 2021

Unprofessional. Called for a dryer repair on a dryer that was not heating. The technician did not turn off the gas. He manipulated (mixed some of the new part with some of the old broken part) a part that was brand new prior to replacing it in the machine. Dryer caught on fire after "repair". He tried to pass it off as not a big deal and that he would fix it despite several melted wires inside the machine. The disgusting lack of regard for safety was the worst part of the experience, but the customer support is almost as bad as nothing has been done thus far to rectify this situation.

Truly ZERO STARS!
December 28, 2021

Truly ZERO STARS!

Based on Sear's reputation (clearly a thing of the past!), I opted to have their home services come out to replace an old range hood with a new one. I was pre-charged $209.99 for the work and told installation would happen within the week. That was two weeks ago today!

Every time I try to call or chat, they tell me my phone number isn't in the system... yet it's on the receipt they emailed me! I did reach someone on the 20th who finally told me that she could see the receipt, but that they hadn't found anyone to do the work yet and to give them two more days. Still waiting...

When I called back today, once again they couldn't see my phone number on anything, and gave me an email to send the receipt to (supposedly) for a refund.

I am not holding out hope. This transaction has SCAM and FRAUD written all over it! Do yourself a HUGE favor and stay as far away from Sears Home "Services" as you can!

They charged me $722 to repair my refrigerator. Three months later, the refrigerator still does not work. The second and third tech verified the refrigerator is not repairable. They keep promising a credit in two weeks and I keep not getting the credit. If you use them, just know that they don't warranty their repairs. If the repair does not work, you're on your own. Don't waste your time or money, call someone else.

Poor Service
December 21, 2021

The technician(Charles) arrived for the appointment
But, sat in his truck in front of our house for 10 extra minutes. He said he was talking to his girlfriend about their dog who had cancer. While inside our home, he called someone on his cell phone and had them on speaker. Very unprofessional! Then he said the part that was ordered would be in on Monday and that he would call to let me know when he will come. Never heard a word from him again. So disappointing! Sears been in business a long time that's why we chose them to fix our wall oven. A complaint was filed. He basically waisted our time, seeing I left work early that day for this poor $#*! service.

Avoid Kenmore an LG refrigerators so you don't end up dealing with Sears repair (a&e is the company's real name). Although, LG is the real scam behind this Immortal business, I'm more disappointed at our own American system allowing these crooks, with the help of an American company (Sears/a&e) taking advantage of Americans in the USA!
My Kenmore Elite refrigerator is only 3 years old, and I must buy a new one. And I thought I bought an American product!

December 14, 2021

Had an appointment today dec 14th window 8 am 5 pm, no one showed up or called! So i called them they said the appointment moved and text would be here by 7:51 pm... so 6 pm up i call and they informed me the text cancelled my appointment and moved it to dec 30 between yep 8 am and 5 pm, without any phone call or explaination so again i called to find out why. They transferred me a dozen times just to be told they are closing and someone would call me back in the next 48 hours... they owe me $300 for a days pay that was lost! And they should have to pay for a new service guy to come out from a different company who is responsible and do the job that their own service guy could not even show up to do... is badge id number is *******

Deception on Warranty.
December 13, 2021

I purchased a washer dryer combo from Sears with a warranty. My dryer has a burnt smell so I call Sears warranty to address the issue. Sears warranty tells me I only have a warranty on my washer so they decieved me when I got my warranty. Sears now doesn't want to up hold our original agreement. I feel deception on Sears part for not telling me I only had a warranty on my washer only. Sears gave me the run around to address this issue I will nver purchase anything else from Sears. I see why Sears is a 2star organization.

Positively the worst
November 30, 2021

Unbelievable. Close to a month and my dishwasher still is not repaired. They were quick to take my money, but my dishwasher still doesn't work. Once, I had an appointment from 8 a.m. to 12 pm. At 1:45 PM, they texted me to let me know they weren't going to make it and they rescheduled me for another 2 weeks out. They showed up two weeks later, pulled my dishwasher out and fiddled with it, said it was fixed and then left. It is very much not fixed. You can't get in touch with anybody, there's no real person that you can talk to at their company only call centers. I cannot understand why they are still in business.
