I was a loyal customer with Schwan's years ago and loved their products. I'm no longer in a delivery area, but have had good luck with UPS shipping of other food products, so tried Schwan's again. First, I could not place an order because my account was "flagged" for suspected fraudulent activity. No idea why as my cc information was accurate and there was NO problem with my bank. But no order could go through, or so I was told. Went through several "representatives" and all they could tell me was that they could do nothing until there was an investigation. I was never contacted or informed about the status of the supposed investigation. Weeks later, I find a charge on my bank for an order which I never received. Tried an online chat. The person could not help me -- after nearly half an hour of waiting -- because (Guess!) account had been flagged. I requested a supervisor. Was told that my "request" had been placed and someone would call me within 48 hours. Despite the fact that I always enjoyed Schwan's products, I will never again order from them. Customer service is so bad it's almost funny. And if I don't receive a refund from them for the order charged but never delivered, and quickly, I'll be placing negative reviews everywhere I possibly can. There's no excuse for this BS.
I just made this schwans gluten free pizza and honestly I'd rather lick a dogs $#*! then take another a bite but I'm gonna take another bite because I'm hungry as $#*! and drunk. Me hangry. But me mad that this pizza is $#*!. $#*! Schwanns.
My mother in law really likes them but they hardly ever show up even thou she usually spend well over a hundred dollars. Their service is really terrible. She will sit home all day just waiting for them on the day they are suppose to show up and they don't come. So sad.
I have been trying for a month to get one particular order delivered. I have been rescheduled 3 times and then received a notice that everything in the order was out of stock. It isn't worth the hassle of contacting customer service because they will try to reschedule a 4th attempt. Don't bother with this company
On march 6 i ordered a few meals and ice cream for my disabled mother in florida after a few days on the 8th of march when it was supposed to be delivered no delivery around the 22 her birthday they canceled the order with no reason several attemps made to have it redilvered same thing happened 3 times they canceled order on me and all they would say is i dont know why this happened but we can reorder it and give you $10 off your next order NO THANK YOU i will never recomend or purchase anything from this company again very pour business habits. SERVICE SUCKS! – Good Food, but Delivery Date & Time is TOTALLY UNRELIABLE! Original delivery date was 2/1/2021. I received a text with a 2-hour (3:23 PM-5:23 PM) window today, 2/6/2021. Then I receive an e-mail that I have been "rescheduled" to a date 9 DAYS LATER on 2/15/2021! This would be the SECOND RESCHEDULING for an order placed January 5th, 2021.
I placed an order with them nearly two weeks in advance of the delivery date. My ENTIRE order was not loaded on the truck and the driver had no idea I had put a pre-order in the system. So, what did customer service offer to make up for this? They were going to waive the delivery fee and UPS all but 1 of the items to me 3 days later. Okay so I get most of my order... when can I get the last item? TWO WEEKS from now... They did not offer it for free, offer any free points, NOTHING. Canceled my order. If you show no appreciation for customers willing to buy from you, then why would I?
We really enjoy Schwan's food - especially the ancient grain encrusted cod and the pre-cooked, pre-scored crab legs. But we simply cannot rely on Schwan's delivering what we order, or delivering when they say they will.
For example, I had an order to be delivered today, between 3 and 6 pm. I checked my account in the morning and leaned that the company was out of the crab legs I had ordered - which I had been warned was possible at the time of the order. But when my driver showed up - at 6:30 pm - the crab legs were delivered. However, the chicken I had ordered was missing, and the driver informed me Schwan's was out of it. How can it be that, even after my order was filled, Schwan's couldn't tell me what was in it? I had been counting on serving that chicken the following night, and would have ordered from another source had I known of the problem.
The three-hour delivery windows are a joke - neither you nor the company have any clue when the driver will arrive. But if you make friends with your driver, he or she might give you a cell phone number, and inform you by text each time when to expect your delivery. What a joy.
If the driver is a "no show", the company will replace your order - in TWO WEEKS. No one apologizes for anything, or offers any recompense for your trouble. Customer service simply has no information and no authority to offer real solutions.
If only customer service had a way to track the drivers or know their expected route. That would be so helpful. And surely the company should tell customers what items are missing from their orders when the orders is packed, not when it is delivered.
I see from others' comments that these complaints are common and the company apparently has made no significant efforts to address them. What a shame.
I placed my order early this week for delivery on Friday between 4 - 6pm. I called customer service this morning and they were scheduled to deliver on the 16th although I received a confirmation email to deliver on Friday. I'm disappointed with the lack of follow through communication.
Schwan's takes no responsiblity for their lack of service. Place a order that was delayed due to their error and all they wanted to offer was to take off the delvery fee of $4,50. The "customer service agent" could not get off the phone fast enough with me and ended up hanging up on me. Will not order from them again. They should contact Omaha steaks and learn what customer service is all about.
Once a happy customer, will not order again until you bring back the single packaging of the 4 oz boneless skinless chicken breast. The quality and uniformed size of the chicken is horrible. Do not change what is working for your customers!
I noticed a charge on my credit card for an order I absolutely know I did not place. I called customer service for assistance & answers and got nowhere. I had to end up filing fraud charges with my credit card and request a new card & number simply because they weren't refunding MY money. They couldn't explain why I got charged, couldn't tell me who the driver was (yea right) or even when I should expect a refund. Horrible customer service from what I THOUGHT was a reputable company. I kept getting the same run around & going nowhere answers. You don't get to just charge credit cards for unauthorized purchases. Makes me wonder how many times they do this and get away with it. They have officially lost a customer.
Did I really 10.5 hours for food that never showed up. The check out procedure itself will have you puling your hair out. Thank God they don't charge until delivery. Now I am guessing b/c they know they're trash
I placed an order and had it 2 days later, one item out of stock ok i am cool with that the other item was forgotten by the driver. Called customer service no help it will be on your next delivery. It is a call center have no answers no numbers called schwan's corporate after looking up number. Schwans home delivery is its own private company call their number 2 rings hangs up. Schwans wants your money but doesn't want to deliver customer service this was my first time ordering in along time not happy. May have to take to social media to get a response only way ti wake them up.
Ive always heard Schwans was good food and decided to try it after my aunt highly recommended them to me. I placed my first order of beef and brocoli, pork egg rolls and shrimp spring rolls along with an apple pie. It was all amazingly good. Shipping was very fast as I ordered at 2 am on a friday and was told i would get my order on monday and I received it about 12:00 friday, just 10 hours after I ordered. I ate the same food for both lunch and later that evening for dinner. A few hours later as I was getting ready for bed I started feeling really nauseaus and within 20 minutes I was violently throwing up. This went on all night long. The next day came the diaria. It is now sunday night and I am just now starting to feel better. I have no idea if the Schwans caused this but I can never eat it again as this illness will always be connected to Schwans in my mind. Its too bad because I thought it tasted really good... I gave them 4 stars because im just not sure if they caused my illness but it sure was a coincidence.
When the pandemic hit, I began looking for grocery delivery services that accept EBT as payment and found these guys. I have been nothing but happy with them. Once I got charged for an item I did order but was out of stock so I didn't get it. One quick call to customer service and it was taken care of. They offered to come back to my house the next day just to deliver the item, or give me a credit. No hassle at all. The food is generally good, especially the pizzas! I have two tiny 'complaints' - I wish they could give a better idea of the delivery window because right now it's basically an eight hour window. I know it's hard to narrow it down, esp right now so its not a huge deal. My other complaint is more a suggestion - I wish they carried more bread - hot dog and hamburger buns, maybe more type of sandwich bread. But I understand they can only stock so many items at a time.
It was ok it beginning but the. Prices went up they even took food off menu I'm doing my shopping at store much cheaper
Two times within 6 months I have received my SCHWANS order via UPS over 3 days late.
This means my PERISHABLE BOX is 30 pounds of mush. Cannot email these fools so I call and get put on HOLD FOR 20 MINUTES. Finally at the recordings bidding I leave a DETAILED MESSAGE with their promise to return my call WHAT A JOKE! $253 order and no one gives a $#*!! Calling my credit card company today and filing a dispute.

For years I have been a loyal Schwanns customer as has my mother. The only chicken we would buy were Schwanns pre packaged, already trimmed healthy chicken breasts which accounted for probably at least 50 percent of my family's diet. Since they have been discontinued (WHY?), the "replacement breasts" are large, extremely fatty pieces of meat that are just poor quality all around. I would greatly appreciate if you would bring the old breasts back-otherwise you have definitely lost me and several others as customers.

Answer: Very slow contact response. I spent several hours communicating my issues to them. Was not provided an acceptable resolution so I just canceled my orders and won't buy from them again.
