Ordered an item in november 2011 which yodel claimed they tried to deliver twice but no card left. Then it was delivered for a third time, to a neighbor i don'; t even know. I never got the item and sainsbury's refused to refund. I contacted them 10 times before i gave up. Never order from them,
Ordered several Tu items of footwear for my three-year old through Argos click and collect at Sainsbury. I had to return a few of these back to Argos via the same store. My refund never arrived. I had to spend close to one hour on the live chat to attempt to get back the money rightfully owed to me. And even then when the refund eventually came through it was short of £12. I then had to attempt live chat again, which because of the appalling system just kept getting rejected. I persisted and one hour later I have been told I will get my owing £12 – time is to tell on that. At no point was there an apology for the inconvenience. If you don't mind wasting hours of your life trying to claim back refunds, then go ahead and shop with this store. I certainly won't shop with them again
Brilliant just popped into Sainsbury's today mainly to get cat food but I always cannot resist looking at the sale rails.
Love this because they hang everything according to size although you do have to look for rogue items on the wrong hangars now and then.
Bargain I got two little jackets half price. Perfect for work or casual. Two good quality jackets total price £25 pair.
You just couldn't get these deals in other stores.
The jackets are lined and well cut.
Well done Sainsbury's keep it up.
Very happy shopper.
I went to Hedge End Sainsburys. Granted they are moving the store around, but surely this shouldn't affect the freshness of their fruits and vegetables? Most of the vegetables looked very close to their use by date. I stood by the banana section whilst a guy was replacing the bananas. I waited for a minute and a half before I asked if he could move his trolley so I could select some bananas - he did this most ungraciously and left me only a small gap to squeeze through. Wonderful service, thanks. All this is not conducive to shopping there again.
Beef we bought a week ago looked OK on the surface but when it was cooked it produced a gristly stew which we found inedible
On a number of occasions over the past few years the local some of the sraff of the local sainsburys store have had a 'pop' at myself, or just been unhelpful - just because on the surface of it, as follows
* One even though I was standing directly in front of her and non-verbally indicating I needed assistance, jusr stood there making sure her hand were nice and germ free, and when challanged she said "she did not respond to non-verbal communication" - make of that what you will.
* One woman blocked my way, ordered myself to go another way to get to the self-service tills, and she added that I was standing to close to her for her liking.
* Same woman, when she knew I was trying to catch her name on the badge she was wearing, just walked past practically shouting her name and pointing to her badge.
* Another woman, jumped backward to avoid being too close to myself - as ff I was contaminated.
* This is what started the treatment or the first incident; I was leaving the store, and just outside was a queue of people waiting to be allowed to enter, with at the head of the queue an old woman who asked the male employee whwther it was safe to enter, and as I was passing the male employee said to the woman "it is safe to enter madam 'now'" to which they both s$#*!ed.
There are more, but the point is that almost every incident was reported either to the head office over the telephone or directly to the management of the store - to this day all those people still work at the store, something of which I have intimated to the head office with maybe the management of the store and the wider management are discriminatory, after all they seem to be allowing this treatment to continue.
PS One thing I forget to mention is that I look different to others, only added to explain the treatment of myself.
Sainsburys at Mere Green... Wednesday morning... filled trolley with shopping and moved to check out.
Many long queues to TWO checkout operators. Hard to imagine but 15mins later still waiting to pay.
The wait provided some entertainment as we watched our frozen food start to thaw.
The many queues now became two and still we waited.
I asked a member of staff "Is this the best you can do"
She said " I have told them but they just walk off"
Sainsburys are advertising... we price match with Aldii
I am saying... customer sevice match with Aldi.
I will not shop at sainsburys ever again. They don't want customers.
Whilst passing through 4 members of staff milling around to join the lengthy queue for self checkout... at this moment in time i should point out that i would rather deal with a person... i looked for carrier bags of which i required 2... how easy would it be to have bags available hand as opposed to being passed out by a member of staff who is dealing with 6 machines half of which are screaming please seek assistance repeatedly!
I am sure the other bemused customers the same as myself would much rather deal with a human being as opposed to screaming machines and a obviously stressed member of staff who is trying to do the work of 6!
Sort it out sainsburys!
Please please what has happened to the soft tissues like sand paper now. Charging more money for bad product the code *******622 l purchased 10 boxes of these for my husband he needs tissues to be soft as he uses them on his neck stoma l will be in touch with the ombudsman.
Cancelled my food delivery 1 hour before the scheduled time! This is ridiculous, as I am self-isolation and cannot go to the physical store. The next available delivery slots are few days away. What am I suppose to eat until then? On top of that, I used my 2 GBP coupon for the order, which I did not get back after the delivery cancelation! They did not even offered a new slot, instead they told me to reorder each item again because they cannot see my order details. Easily, 1 star review.
What ever you do stay away from Sainsburys! They are vile. So many mistakes they have made with my online orders. The last three orders were the worst as they had made mistakes on 3 separate occasions and I had not received my goods. Staying on the phone with them for over an hour on many different occasions is exhausting when the outcome is still that you do not get your goods when it is their fault. No one is made accountable and you are still left with no food. This is the last time I am ordering from them and my advice to you is that they can have a glossy image but do not be fooled, they do not care, all they want in your money!
I had £65 worth of nectar vouchers to come off my order. They decided to charge me for the full amount and not take the nectar amount off after they were the ones to put it on their in the first place for me. I told them I do not want to pay the full price so they basically said it is either that or cancel the order. Nasty company! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
Don't think that buying online will be quicker safer or easier - we shopped online and out of the shopping 10 items were swapped for things we didn't order!
Not only that but one chicken curried ready to cook pack was already out of date by one day!
We got Guinness instead of cider. Dark chocolate kitkat instead of milk chocolate the list went on
It is ridiculous to think that items we ordered were not available and if not the brand we wanted then at least swap cider for cider!
It's a rubbish service but most of all delivering out of date chicken is unforgivable unless they want to kill off their customers
We went into our local store in N21 and they said we should call head office
We did but that was nearly a week ago and not a word - they clearly do not care
Our advice is not to use online delivery services unless you want stuff you didn't order and a good dose of salmonella!
I recently started using the Sunderland North Sainsbury's for click and collect. They refuse, as is Sainsbury's policy, to bag the items and they are presented in trays on the ground next to your car for you to pick up and put into you own bags. No wonder there are plenty of slots. No table or anything to let you bag it. I am 75 and use click and collect to leave online for those less able than me. Sainsbury's claim that there policy of reducing plastic prevents them from using bags. The amount of plastic is tiny for this area and do they not realise we are in a national emergency.
Is the saving of a tiny amount of plastic worth the major discomfort and possible contamination of the grocery's being put into the ground let alone the discomfort of their customers.
The worst possible delivery service, canceling your order without any notice and after that, if you still want the order they request more money. I'm dumbfounded by their attitude towards the customer and will not order from them ever again.
Ordered online for delivery, delivery was on the 25 November between 21:00 - 22:00. Unfortunately, we didn't check the use-by dates on the fresh produce and have since realised most of the items had a short use-by date, mainly by the 27 November, with exception to a not so fresh chicken which had to be used by the 25 November, which in fact had only two hours before it could not be used and consumed safely.
Sainsbury's standards have slipped over recent years, and we will not be using them again.
I was trying to order some items for collection but the website kept on directing me to a delivery slot even after confirming a collection slot. Who designed this web site needs to go back to year 1 at school and learn how to design a user friendly website. Why the homeware goods are limited to a particular store and not a separate national online shop like, say next for example, and keep food and homeware separate.
Last week I was in sainsbury's and fancied shepherd's pie, so I bought a taste the difference pie, it was different... big carton, half full of mashed potato, gravy, carrots, NO Meat, just slop,
That will teach me, not to buy ready meals and make my own shepherds pie like I usually do.
Went this week and Sainsburys salad cream has now gone up
To £1.15 A month ago it was 90p
That's a 25% increase Inflation is not 25% Feels like we are being ripped off by the supermarkets big time
Racially profiled by security guards, harassed, verbally abused, and physically threatened... what did Sainsbury's do... nothing. 10 months later after public pressure, they are now conducting an investigation... avoid!
Visited the store and my elderly father went to the bathroom. He observed two small children unaccompanied splashing water on the floor which he nearly slipped on so he simply reported this to the lady at the self checkout who proceeded to look him up and down like a piece of dirt. He asked to speak to a manager who proceeded to call security and intimidate us all the while the health and safety issue is left unattended. The manager was rude, aggressive and unprofessional so I advised let's leave and report this to head office. She proceeded to click her fingers and have security escort us of the premises and ban us from the store. A very stressful and diabolical handling of a very easily rectifiable issue.
Answer: Thought their products were part quality. It's not! Their prices are excessive and labelling of goods is fake.
