Will not fix my phone I can't receive calls or text... I've called them several times... I even payed for the 15 dollar plan in which I didn't receive. I've called several times each time they put me on hold or hang up not fixing the issue
Safe link customer service customer cares very super terrible. Any time calls have to wait over 30 minutes, after waiting a long time then agent call back then-agent said she needs to transfer higher department. After the agent transferred then another waiting the phone get disconnected, call them back then wait again. Then the agent did not take care correct problem to customer. Service safe link is not good. Not recommended to the customer. Super terrible service
Just go to metro and buy yourself a phone. Safelink has agents who can barely speak English, yet alone their own language. And all they do is hang up on you after transferring you to a different area. Also they hung up on me soon as i told them i have been hung up on 3 times now haha. I had enough, buying a phone from metro tomorrow.
Its really sad though because out of all the free phone services, safelink has the best features/data features compared to all the rest. Oh well, again if you can, just go to metro pcs and buy yourself a phone.
Just today, I have been on the line with Safelink various customer service reps. Each time I have been put on 'hold' for at least 30 minutes each time. When I inquire about when my issue will be addressed or solved, I am told that their computer is not up & I need to continue to HOLD! Then I get cut off! This problem has been happening for several days as I tried to get assistance with my phone issue. I have nearly NO bars on my phone so I have nearly NO signal. I am trying to get this resolved as I need to use my phone! Why are there NO competent customer service people with Safelink? I have also been told by several reps that I need another phone in order to get this phone fixed! I do not know too many people who have 2 phones! Where can a person get assistance with their phones?
I consistently called customer service is my phone would cut off and asked him what I could do to resolve the issue they kept telling me to reapply through their website and on the fourth time I asked them if I could talk to the supervisor and they refuse to transfer me to a supervisor. Then they transfer me to technical support and they hung up on me. I'm going to cricket wireless tomorrow to get a free phone there and hopefully they can transfer my number there because I have been doing a lot of job applications and I hope that people can still contact me.
They did same thing with me but i was ask them to give me my account number to transfer service to another company and i give them the pin number but they start ask me for credit card and my phone was government program and they start ask me another question to not give me the account number... Like we need last four numbers of 2 phone call made last sixty days and they say it didn't pass i have last try then i know it was lie i hang up the phone. And now i don't have service i called them from other phone not mine! And now i can't transfer my service with same number.
Do not use this service! I had to buy data no big deal BUT after a hour of trying to use it it was not added to my account. So I contacted the customer service and they told me there was no history of my purchase YET my debit card was deducted by them so I will be using a new carrier with in a week
Do not waste your time here. You will NEVER be offered the option of speaking with a rep located in the United States Of America. Instead you will be passed off to some of the most ignorant, blatantly stupid morans on the face of planet earth. Have a close look at SafeLinks customer service ratings; F- from the top to the bottom. Complete and total failure at all levels. What a complete waste of time. Losers at every level.
Safelink does things like turn your phone off unexpectedly then make you go purchase more minutes to keep your phone working, even though you're supposed to be on an unlimited plan. You either buy more minutes or go without your phone. Customer support can't do anything.
Shut the whole company down! Terrible service from the phone all the way to customer service. A bunch of rude azz reps who hang up on you instead of resolving issues. They won't put a supervisor, or manager in the phone either. SafeLink knows this and doesn't care. A bunch of foreigners, with the audacity to treat consumers this way, the company should not even exist! Shut them downnnn! Do not do business with this company for your own good, and peace of mind.
I have been a SafeLink customer for about 8 out of the last 12 years and about 5 months ago (5/21) I received the temporary Extended Broadband Benefits to replace my Lifeline service. On 9-1-21 my EBB turned back into Lifeline limited minutes again for no reason. I called and had 2 service tickets generated on 10-9 and 10-10 and instead of processing the tickets, on 10-12 SafeLink just cancelled and de-enrolled my whole account. Upon calling and speaking at about 30 different lying incompetent employees at what was supposed to be up to the highest level of SafeLink, the end result is a wrongfully cancelled account that I now have to buy minutes for. Don't believe anything they say. Everything that comes out of their mouths at all levels are lies. Use QLink or Assurance but if you use SafeLink then expect the worst... that's what you'll get.
I just qualified for the free phone & service. Well I've been on the phone for 3 days so far & I have no phone service not texts & all they do is hang up on me & then make promises they don't keep. They have the WORST Customer Service. I'm going back to my prior cellphone service
I have been trying for more than two months to get a replacement cell phone sent to me and ups returns it for an incomplete address, he called and I have spoken with all the regular, corporate employees and they always do and say the same thing, they make fun of customers, They have no word They always lie
So in 2/2022, they announced they will move over to Versizon and I do not have to do anything. On 3/2020, my phone can't text or make a call, my sim card has become inactive. Tried calling and only was on hold, no live person. No email to contact them either.
They were fine for a few years prior when I first singed up for Lifeline. So after trying for 7 days, I found another provider and canceled them and lost the phone number. It was worth it to never deal with them again.
If you are looking for a Lifeline provider, stay away from Safelink and find another provider!
Safelink is a service for the disabled. Their customer service is deplorable. Barely speak functional English. Spent the last 2 days trying to activate a new phone for a handicapped individual, still no luck. 0 stars.
I received a phone and they could not activate it because.
Of there own fault by given them the same information I have always given then to transfer my phone number they could not identify me and refused to allow me to access my own Safelink account. This was hours where no one was willing or able to help. They kept passing me from Safelink to Tracfone or simply hanging up. So now I did not get my original phone I purchased, no refund, stuck with phone the is not phone I purchased, can't' activate my phone, and they stole my minutes.
SafeLink customer support representatives are always somebody overseas and they must get paid a percentage for not giving you what you originally paid for when you have to add service because we've been ripped off many times and now that we've been ripped off again they're trying to flag our account and tell us that we are under suspicion of trying to scam them so now they're trying to turn it back on us and we have all the bank statements and deductions and their contract and yet they're trying to continually bash us and hang up on us all the time they are the rudest and most unorganized scam carrier on the market
I called in for a request of a replacement phone due to the old phone broken, as doing so on October 12th, I have spoken to two customer agents and a manager who all stated I would be eligible to receive one within 3-5 business days, it has now been 3 weeks and with misunderstandings of the phone not being in the warehouse or the shipment date has been delayed, I am to find out later as I check in my status that the phone is not on delivery route, I spoke to warehouse manager and they said I needed to return the defective phone in order to receive the replacement which not one agent mentioned before until today for some reason, Safelink management said that UPS has picked it up just yesterday, I asked for ways to get a phone in faster and they had stated it's in UPS care, to " call them and find out, that I shouldn't worry, it should be in sooner rather than later" 5 weeks later they estimate I'll receive the phone, to be patient and they're sorry.
I tried to use my Lifeline benefits with SafeLink Wireless and I regretted it. Their customer service sucks, to get your issues solved you have to call at least two times. Customer service agents are not competent and it's usually very hard to understand what they are saying because all of them are having a heavy accent.
My service was disconnected several times with no valid reason so I decided to change provider. And last drop was that I had to pay $13 to get my phone number transferred to a new provider. Which is scam because other companies do it for free.
I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND to deal with SafeLink Wireless!
My service suddenly stopped and they didn't know why nor couldn't help me. They couldn't let me keep my old number. They kept switching me to someone else many times. Everytime they connect me to someone else I got cut off. Assurance is better. They are so incompetent.

Answer: If I remember right I had my phone for 3 months when I got a letter in the mail saying I qualified for my phone unlocked. I think I had to go through my account on line to unlock it. Check there and see if you see anything pertaining to that. If not maybe call troubleshooting and ask them. Word of WARNING if you are getting a free phone like I was they shut you off anytime and claim you don't qualify. Not sure maybe they get more government money for every phone they send out. I was shut off and reapplied and had a new phone and new number not even a month and was shut off again. No rhyme or reason and claimed they couldn't find my account. Good Luck
Answer: Honestly? Because they don't know what they are doing. I've been on the phone with them for 22 1/2 hrs and I have to call back tomorrow and try again because it's late and I tired. And I spoke to supervisors. Pathetic.
