On a flight from London Stanstead to Bergerac 03/08/22 I put a backpack in the overhead locker and sat down in my seat to relax and fell asleep. I got up at my destination to find that Ryanair staff had removed my flight from the plane prior to take off. They had done nothing to inform me personally of this removal. It is now three almost a month since this happened and they have done nothing to help me. The bag is not where the staff had assured me it would be upon return and despite trying every day to track it down, it seems the bag is lost. I am now in the process of having to replace a MacBook Pro, house keys, glasses, birthday gifts among other items. None of tis is cheap and no-one has taken any responsibility for the bag being taken from me. In addition, like myself, everyone I have spoken to since is confused as to why cabin crew would remove a bag of such value and not know where it was going.

We arrived at the airport 4 hours before the flight and were told that the airport desk is not open for check-in. No one told us to check in online. When we finally got an open desk we were told that the check-in would cost 110 Euros, this was almost double the cost of the flight ticket. We were told that we had to check-in online, but that we can't do it anymore as the online check-in closed 5 minutes ago and we had to check-in 2 hours or longer before the flight. Then the flight was delayed by more than an hour. We were therefore in time to check-in online, but were not allowed. We have repeatedly contacted Ryanair regarding a refund, but zero response in 2 months.

Discrimination and unfairness
August 15, 2022

Try to avoid this airline at any cost
Rude unprofessional staff
The lady on the boarding gate selected me from entire row of non priority passengers to check the size of hand luggage claiming it is not fitting the box for small hand bag. When I told the lady that the other passengers are having the same size and they were not checked. She stated that she knows how to do her job.
When we tried to take her name to send a complaint regarding her discrimination, she turned mad and cancelled our flight.
I booked other flight for my family back to Vienna and stayed in Lisbon airport for 12 hours.
By the way, we carried the same hand luggage from Vienna to Lisbon with no problem. When I stated this to the lady, her answer" I do not mind, we are different staff"
An evident discrimination and unprofessional biased selection of one family from 300 passengers carrying the same hand-luggage.
You can call this discrimination because of our Arabic background
I will never stop warning people from those pirates.

Avoid if possible
August 4, 2022

In most case they will get you from A to B. However, they are what I call $#*!-eaters. To buy a ticket, you need to click through 10 pages where they will be pestering you to buy something extra. Like some drunken bum asking you to give him 5$, 10$. Beware that if you accidentally close that website and start over again, not only will you have plow through Ryanair crap again, but the price will be higher. Astonishingly, whenever you search for a flight it happens so, that they have just a few tickets available for this special price. Prepare for the same sort of entertainemnt on the plane and on the ground as well. Forget helpful staff. Instead of flight attendants they've got salesmen selling perfume and other $#*! form their trolleys. The overall experience is awful. Sometimes they are the only option for whatever reason, but you have been warned that they are probably the worst carrier around Europe.

Flight cancelled, money disappeared.
August 2, 2022

I never came close to any of their airplanes. I booked a flight, paid for it, and Ryanair notified me that the flight was cancelled. That was the last I heard from them. I did ask for a refund, several times. No response.

This is the worst airline ever! Their crew and customer service are rude and arrogant!
We were going back to the United States from Sofia, Bulgaria with a transfer in London and Oslo, Norway. Our airline was Ryanair for both London and Oslo flights. Ryanair boarded us on the flight to London with no issues. When we got at the London airport, we were told that we can't continue our journey because my daughter's passport was going to expire in a month! Please pay attention: My daughter's passport was still valid, and we were coming home. Ryanair didn't let us board the flight to Oslo and we missed our flight to the States. The customer service was of no help and didn't care at all. They were arrogant and rude. We spoke to multiple people with no result. It was in the middle of the night and not many places that we could look for help. They kept repeating that we can't continue because my kid's passport was going to expire next month. My kids are 8 and 10 years old and we were left in a country that we know nothing about! We were so desperate, and my kids were very scared and stressed out. They kept crying and asking me when we can go home. We had to go and purchase a direct flight ticket from London to US with another airline which cost for 3 tickets over $8000 having in mind we had valid tickets already and a valid passport.
It was the first time using the airline in my life and I will never use it again! They are not worth at all.

So the train in Europe was booked and we decided to book this last minute to get to Madrid from Paris as options were limited. Did not have time to review the airlines. If we had and saw this many negative reviews would not have chosen it. Flight from Paris was delayed 30min.
They did not hold our flight even a few minutes so we could make our connection then offered no help to get to Madrid (connection was in Menorca).
As Menorca is an island off the coast of Spain we had no choice but to PURCHASE ANOTHER TICKET on a different airline as Ryanair didn't care and just said too bad you missed your flight?!?
Total scam. Definitely disputing this charge with my credit card. This airlines needs to go out of business. Zero customer service and very unfriendly and uncaring.
Deserves zero stars.

Scammer and thieves
June 13, 2022

Tickets are sold for 29€ and today when I checked in for a flight I had to pay another 55€ for check-in for each person!
I bought luggage separately and together a ticket to me and my son (2 tickets) cost a total of 115.40 €
And today I at the flight check-in desk they told that I have to pay another 110€
110€!

Can you imagine!?!

Not 5€, not 10€, but 110€!
Ticket 115€ and registration 110€ total 225€
Swindle, just unforgivable.

Sat in the plane on their unbelievably uncomfortable seats then were told we had to wait an extra hour for take off, because of their total lack of organisation and efficiency they missed the slot… Then on our way back from our trip, same thing happened but we had to sit and wait on the plane before take off for 1.5h!

"Low fares. Made simple"? The second part of their slogan is highly misleading and must change.

We purchased multiple tickets from Ryanair because we were traveling all over Europe. Little did we know that it would cause us a problem with checking-in online. The system didn't recognize my account and sent me an authorization code to verify my identity, but the code DID NOT work. After making several attempts, we had to get to the airport early to check in. Alas, we were a few minutes late for their curfew for checking-in for free at the airport, so we were charged 35 euros each. The airport staff said nonchalantly, "If you want to fly today, pay 35 euros each. If not, just find yourself another flight. (hahaha)" We explained our situation but to no avail. She just repeated herself without batting an eye.

I wrote to the customer service and made my complaint FOUR times over the last two months, but absolutely no reply. I get on chat on Ryanair website, but they always tell me to wait a bit longer, wait a few more days, etc. Wait HOW MUCH longer? No sympathy at all. Not even any reaction. I might as well talk to a robot. Is this how we're treated for buying several tickets with Ryanair?

My account is still blocked from checking-in online. It's ironic because thanks to Ryanair's no-response policy and so-simple check-in process, we doubt that we'll be able to fly with Ryanair until this problem is resolved.

My review is based on my mother and I's flight from Seville to Malta on the 29th of May 2022. Upon queuing at the gate, one of the check-in staff started making her rounds handing out pieces of paper and asking questions to passengers. She made a b-line towards my mum and I and out of the blue said our bags had to go in the hold. For a second I couldn't believe it. These are the same bags and same size and weight we used going up from Malta. So much so that I am thorough with travelling light and my mother's bag in particular is a Ryan air approved sized wheelie bag. To prove a point the lady at the check in placed it in the sizer which fit perfectly only to tell us that it's above the line! I thought to myself this is a bloody joke. Where are the candid cameras...?
In the meantime a quarter of the other passengers in the non prio line had bulky rucksacks twice the size of our bags which would have never fit in the sizer. I can bet my right arm. Long story short, I paid the 90 odd euros for this thieving discriminating act and vow to never use Ryan air again. This airline bends and manipulates the rules to suit them and they change from airport to airport and staff to staff. These guys looked like 3rd party check in handlers perhaps and they were as dysfunctional as my grandmother's hip replacement. Do yourselves a favour and use a real airline in exchange for proper service. I can handle everything else but I cannot accept manipulation of rules and conditions. My concern is these handlers are giving Ryanair a worse name. Apart from the odd hiccup I've never witnessed anything as shocking as this. More so, with the way they treated us.

This airliner has taken the cost saving concept beyond the realms of practicality. Forget about the cheap bottle of water that they deny you on board but, do their employees have to be so rude and unattentive? If you happen to be at Edinburgh airport and have verbal exchange with one of the don't expect to understand a word of what they say. I suppose if you're a cheap airliner you can't invest on better quality people

As a US resident, I had the bad experience of being stuck in isolation in Italy because of covid. As a consequence, I was unable to make it for my Ryanair flights within Italy. I tried to reach out to the company several time to inform them about my situation. After several attempts using some kind of useless robot on their website and talking to representatives on the phone, they don't seem to have or want to put in place any customer-friendly measures in this already stressful situation. I felt totally helpless and I am socked by how they dealt with the situation. I would recommend you use low-cost airlines other than Ryanair for your next trips.

Fraud and Theft Company.
I have booked a plane ticket for me and for my two sons.
The two get sick. I contact the airline, cf. Cancellation of two tickets, but got clear answer NO.
When I got on the plane and sat down on my seat, I was negatively surprised that Raynair has sold my son's seat to others! How can you do that?
You do not agree to cancel the ticket for my sons, but not only that, you have also sold the ticket to others, what a scam and theft company.

I want Ryanair to know about my fantastic experience on flight FR7847 on March 27. A young, skilled, professional team of flight attendants wonderfully managed by Chief Cabin Crew Daniele whose kindness and brightness made this flight time extremely pleasant.

Worst airline I have ever been with
March 25, 2022

The last time I am ever going to fly with them.

When arriving at the airport for check in, there was only one member of staff on the relevant desks and so a lengthy wait was needed before we got to speak to them. By the time we did speak with them, she informed us that we had just missed the check in period and each ticket was now to be charged £55 in order to check in. The total of £110 was as expensive as the actual flight tickets, if not more. The late check in was primarily due to the understaffing at the Ryanair counter at Stansted and not to any poor time keeping or organisation on our part.

After reluctantly paying this extortionate fee (what other choice did we have...?!), we then proceeded through security and on to our gate. Once we boarded the plane however, there was than a 1 hr 45 min delay to our flight where we sat on the tarmac and waited. Having been charged £110 just moment earlier for being late and then being delayed for almost 2 hours really angered me. The late check in fee was entirely unnecessary and immensely overpriced in the first place, but what with our flight being delayed, it then also proved to be completely redundant. It seems that I was deemed late and charged, but they can be four or five times as late as I was deemed to be and get away with it...

After having problems checking in online on my return flight, (checked in fine on my departing flight), I came to the airport early for help. The agents at the airport were not helpful, the line was over 2 hours long to checkin, and by the time I got to checkin I was asked to pay 275 euros for me and my family (5 people) for the in-person checkin fee. I was certain that this fee would be waived since the website checkin did not work, but it was not. I was forced to pay, or miss my flight. It felt like a scam. We had to run to catch our flight because checkin took soooooo long. Most stressful experience I have had flying. I won't fly this airline again.

Ryanair canceled my flight the day before I was due to fly home for Christmas last year 23d December 2020.
I used the link they sent me to be refunded, but did not get a refund. I then Phoned them up and was promised a refund within 3 weeks which I did not get. I then Filled in the on line form for compensation which would not except the correct information.
Having done all of the above I wrote directly to them vie email and all I received was email from them informing me that they were busy at the moment.
Ryan air cost me more than £200.00 and I haven't received a penny in compensation.
Nearly a year has gone-buy now would you trust Ryanair with your hard-earned money?
