I paid a small fortune to have overnight shipping from RockAuto for some parts I needed to do a job on October 19th. Four of the parts still aren't here and are halfway across the country. RockAuto isn't taking any responsibility for it they keep pushing me off on FedEx FedEx refuses to refund my shipping for standard overnight and it's just a big mess I still don't have the parts to do the work and now I have to explain to a customer that I can't do their work. I'm so pissed off I'm never ordering from RockAuto again and I hope RockAuto goes out of business they can go to hell. Why should I have to wait until October 21st to file a claim when it was supposed to be overnighted and arrive on the 19th. And I paid a ton of money for it.
February I purchased a radiator for me 2006 dodge. When I received it I was surprised about the weight and quality of the radiator. About half the weight, also the retaining clips were cheap and flimsy. Still and all paid half the price for a new so I went with the install. In October the radiator started to leak. Now the tuff part trying to get a replacement. Since I didn't keep the original box I had to email them which is know where on there website. They did return my email. I explained to them I was disappointed in there product that it appeared of poor quality and that a part that should have lasted several years didn't last a yr. I had been a customer for several years and would like a upgrade. "RockAuto does not keep payment information on file, we cannot send the replacement without either a new order placed first, or the failed part in transit". After reading all the reviews I was not feeling good about sending them more money or sending the part at my cost. I don't know how this company stays in business with commercials and all. Now I am forced to purchased again from anyone but rockauto
Working on a old truck, ordered several parts. Most of the parts had something wrong or a missing piece. They had been repackaged. I know someone else was missing a custom bolt as was in a box and didn't go with the item. I contacted there website as instructed, they told me the part came that way. How can you have a lower ball joint w/ no boot to hold the grease? I could pay to ship it back and then they would take away the original shipping which was for the whole order. So they get the part back to sell again for someone else to go thru it, then give me zero refund. They are a online business, they will not speak with you on the phone. They say if they wanted to talk on the phone they would not be a on line business. I know there parts are a little cheaper than other places at times, when you get a cheaper part that is not usable then it is no good to have the cheaper part! There are many other places to get the same part cheaper than the parts store around the corner. Rock Auto does not care about the customer at all. They want the dollar and do not care who they steal it from by selling bad parts and not standing behind them. You might as well stand on the street and give the money away at least at the end of the day you will feel good about helping someone. With Rock all you will get is bad parts and stress. I know other people who have purchased and had the same problems! Wish I would have heard the issues before I purchased from them!
So I ordered the parts for my vehicle exactly as their website describes them when I get my parts the part number on the box is right but the parts are completely wrong according to the description and their website it describes the right part but the box has a totally wrong part rock auto will not refund my money without me paying to have them shipped back I don't believe I should pay for any of it is their fault not mine i've tried to get a hold of someone several times to correct this I'm not having any luck
Received a radiator with that no radiator cap will fit without leaking, defective parts, no customer service AT ALL their tuff $#*! attitude lesson learned this radiator was never pressure tested no way. Rockauto and China are laughing at all of us $#*! YOU ROCKAUTO
Rock auto used to be prompt with their orders but now it seems they are walking the package to customers. This is why they are losing business. I won't be ordering from them again.
Great price. Great shipping cost. Excellent delivery method. Delivered in 7 days to Canada. Proper and excellent parts received. Will shop at RockAuto again.
We can Not get a refund for these Runners that are to SMALL! We didn't make the mistake they did! We are in a pandemic, we ordered these runners for this truck & received them just before our State SHUT DOWN! Here my parents are out $200.00 for runners they CAN NOT USE! And who is going to buy them for that much when people are losing there JOBS! THERE RIP OFFS!
Horrible customer service, they sent me used parts that had been returned to them. They were to lazy to inspect them before putting them back into inventory. Multiple attempts to get someone to help with very little response. After emailing back and forth beging them to help, they closed the case and blocked my emails. SHOP ELSE WHERE, SAVE YOUR MONEY

Consistently Wrong Parts and Old Dusty Stock I have several items un-returnable since the return shipping cost more than the part which were just not the right part.
Great prices but most every item I have received is dusty old stock for what appears to be some closed down independent store. Like random name oil filter with no box. Vintage wiper blades with discolored packaging obviously hanging in some shop for years.
Items ship from different warehouses which end up costing much more like $ 5 shipping for 30 cent light bulbs. Seems like shipping is about the same cost as the parts I order. Also consistently slower than Ebay suppliers.
Miserable return (30 days) limit. I had some incorrect brake shoes sent I was so frustrated after spending a week trying to get them to fit. That I forgot about them now I am past the return limit.
Drop down ordering tedious and hard to navigate.
I have had much better success for EBAY suppliers with free shipping and prompt service and refund/returns.
Rock Auto is the WORST! I put all my car information in to order a part and it came back with a two piece part, which I ordered, 1 part was not the correct part! My car was half taken apart to put the new parts in and one of the parts that they sent did not fit. I tried to call Rock auto and there is no phone number or no email address or no contact information to speak to somebody about anything! So the one part that did fit was used and I sent the other part back for either the correct part or a refund and I got an email saying that the two parts had to be returned for an exchange or a refund. If I wanted the part back that I sent back to them I had to pay $13.95 to get it back within five days or they're keeping the part!
Rock auto has absolutely no customer service to help you with anything. When you order it is just hit or miss. So anyway I wound up paying double for the one part that did fit and they got back the part that didn't fit as all profit! I will NEVER order from this company again!
Paid for one day shipping, here we are on day 4. Called ups. They rockauto didn't get it in on time, SMH. Won't give back any kind of refund. Poor service
I tried cancelling an order because their damn site switched some parts on me during checkout. I cancelled the order within 5 mins at 8pm on a saturday. Whatever, I'll fix it by contacting support. NOPE. Half of order stuck as processing at this point. Half cancelled.NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. NONE. I was baffled to find not a single email address or anything on the website when trying to contact someone. Just F.A.Qs.
Well now they have adjusted my order to remove the cancelled items and ship the remaining. Great, right? I wish. Invoice now shows random price amount that's WAY over the amount needed to buy this part. They just took my money and didn't say anything.
These parts are now more expensive than the best quality part I can get at the store down the street today but instead I'm pissed and it cost me more for lower quality. Shame.
Rock auto would be my everyday stop for parts if they didn't suck so bad with service. I hope someone buys them out so they can become a real competitor because right now this is a joke.
If you're going to buy anyway because of alluring prices, use a credit card. They will back you up more than RockAuto ever will when there is an issue with your order.
Originally going to order parts from ECStuning for my Audi, then realized shipping to Canada was $35+ USD. Was happy to see RockAuto had cheaper and faster shipping. Price difference between the two websites is quite significant, a set of 8 NGK coil packs and spark plugs from RockAuto was $100(CAD) cheaper than ECStuning(RA was $360 ECS $460). I received a plastic part damaged during transit to which I shipped back through DHL and RockAuto promptly expedited a new part to me from Arizona(completely free of cost) and it arrived 3 days later. The exchange process was fast and painless. No idea where these bad reviews are coming from.
Like my fb page "Don't shop rockauto.com" my wbole front end is ruined and its their brand new parts on there. Less than 2000 miles and im 3000 in the hole.
How is this company still in business? I ordered two fender liners and a bumper for my Honda Civic.
The fender liners were CLEARLY the wrong size. But Rock Auto claims its not their fault - so they'll refund the part... but I HAVE TO PAY THE SHIPPING - WTF!
The bumper arrived to my home completely crushed and fractured/ripped.
Rock Auto will refund the cost of their parts... BUT NOT SHIPPING. This is why my bumper was $34 and shipping was $170. They literally have no incentive to verify or take responsibility for anything...
Ordered Alternator for 2020 Traverse 3.6 and received 5 days later only to realize immediately its wrong part, but according to their website part # it is correct GM part at that. Then you have to fill out a resume for a return and end up paying return shipping...

Despite what their corny commercials say, the Local parts supplier especially if you have commercial acct is leaps and bounds the way to go. BUT my customer wanted to save $65 dollars and authorized the order BUT now 9 days later and their car still sitting and 5 times that now spent in weekly work Ubers..

Fed x is the lousy shipper forced on all buyers at rock auto, they have lost part, misdelivered parts, long delivery delays for no known reason, lie and say they tried to deliver and no one was there, ( always at the shop) pull into the drive wat then leave, when you try to contact them you get a computer that follows a script, rock auto wont respond, no real way to contact the either, LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE, autozone advanced, and others are right about their loosing orders then not caring about their customers
IF I COULD GIVE A ZERO I WOULD. I'm feeling totally shafted. Picture on site had certain pattern for wheel lock key. Was supposed to come with lock key and FOUR (4) locks. I expedited shipping to get here quickly. Shipping arrived a day later than what I paid for (ok I can deal with that). I open Fed Ex package to find Mopar package sliced open and wrong key lock design AND only TWO (2) other locks. THERE IS NO ONE TO SPEAK WITH THERE, and I have to process return through this automated bs AND PAY THEM FOR THEIR SHIPPING LABEL TO SEND BACK THE WRONG PRODUCT. WTF? Never again. All the parts you'll car will ever need? BULL$$$$! BUYER BEWARE.
