Thursday morning after making sure to pay for International Express delivery, the site was guaranteeing my parts to be here by the end of Friday (next day). When I purchase something from Amazon, I often receive it within 1 or 2 days.
Today Friday at 5:00 pm, I see that my parts are nowhere to be seen. I checked the tracking number provided by this b.s site and DHL shows that my parts would arrive after 4 days. I called DHL and their customer service representative s
Told me that there is no way I could receive my parts today, so call your merchand and they can cancel so you can purchase your parts from the dealer. I had made an appointment with my mechanic and took my day off for tomorrow because I thought I would get my parts today.
I do not understand what kind of business is allowed to be doing business when they don't have a phone number to call and no real life representative!
I sent an email to the email address they say to use if you have a problem and the person or computer's reply was copy paste to go to their site and get help! If I didn't need more help I would not have contacted them trying to get a reply from a real person! I would give minus 10 stars if I could.
I'm very disappointed and so upset with this bs so called business!

After seeing the absolutely uncalled for slander against RockAuto in these reviews, I had to speak up and rave on 'em. As long as you are positive you're ordering the right part and don't have to mess with returning anything, RA is the only way to go. This is based off of the bad reviews, as I've never had to return anything and I've been an avid customer of RockAuto since 2014. I only purchase and run used cars, and have terrible luck of needing to make repairs on them frequently. If it weren't for RockAuto, I'd be so deep in repair debt because of purchasing parts from local parts stores. But with RA, you save a lot of money compared to buying from a parts store! RA offers such a huge list of options to decide from, and very fair shipping options as well. I've ordered struts, catalytic converters, Word to wise: don't pay any extra for "faster" shipping. Their standard flat rate shipping is always fast enough for me. There is a local mechanic I take all my vehicles to for any work I need done. I buy the parts on RA and he installs them for me. He always comments on the good quality of what I order.

Thanks RockAuto for being awesome!

Rock Auto are incompetent scammers, which is why they have to advertise so much. They are also used to getting so many bad reviews which is why they managed to have there google review page blocked so people cant put it there.
I ordered a clutch for my Subaru. When I received it, it turned out to be listed wrong on there site. I even went back and double checked the site after inputting the year make model of my car, and it was still listed wrong, for future customers.
They would not make good on there mistake and send me a call-tag for return shipping. They wanted ME to pay return shipping for THEIR mistake

I ordered a wheel bearing for my Audi A6 C6

Valid Until June 20,2022

The part fit in their website but is actually the wrong part for my car.
I ask for a refund and they didn't give me back the full amount, saying the part is correct in their system and it fit correctly so The refund will be deducted of shipping and taxes.
I think is their fault… they sell the parts and they have the responsibility of checking the products they sell.
I will continue to find a way to have my full refund and hoping this review will help someone else.
This company is cheap and the customer service doesn't exist better website as FCP or ECS

They stole from me!

I was meant to get a 31 dollar refund instead they only gave me 18! They r a $#*!ing scam n most their parts r garbage! Advance auto parts 1000%better! When they give you a refund they refund the whole thing I paid 42 bucks for my order was given the wrong parts! And I had to pay ten bucks for return shipping THEY TOOK OVER 20 BUCKS! I'm reporting them to BBB for scamming people out of proper refunds!

I will never use RockAuto again as long as they have no customer service to speak to or use FedEx as their shipping company. I paid extra to get a part by a certain date. The part arrived to my city 2 days early. FedEx said it was out for delivery 2 days in a row only to have an update each day saying a delay in delivery. Fedex says call RockAuto for a shipping refund. Can't do that. I WILL NEVER USE THIS CRAPPY COMPANY AGAIN.

TOTAL Switch and Bait Tactics. After you receive their "mail in rebate" you discover you can only use it at 15 Garbage China Corporate BS locations. They don't advertise this at all, it's in fine print and only discoverable once you receive the "rebate card" in the mail. Now I'm stuck with a "Credit Card" that I can only use at the mall, I don't want to Build a F**king Bear or use the gift card towards a $200 T-shirt, I need to pay gas and rent.

We bought parts from this company and paid a specific shipping fee in order to obtain the parts by a particular time. In reliance on that timing and the fact that we paid a specific shipping fee to get the parts by the promised time, we arranged for a mechanic to be available to install the parts. The parts are now multiple days late past the promised time, the mechanic appointment had to be cancelled (at our expense) and the Rock Auto "customer service" options only available through their website and no other way whatseover (we tried calling) is truly unhelpful.

We DO NOT RECOMMEND that anyone buy from this company especially since there are so many offering the exact same parts at similar prices with customer service and accountability.

Buyer Beware

I order a part I needed for my car. I paid the extra fee for overnight delivery. The shipper, Fed Ex didn't deliver my parts and Rock Auto offers absolutely no help at all. If you need something in a hurry or you are in a critical crunch for time DON'T BUY FROM Rock Auto.

"Punk" Rockauto
January 28, 2021

I mean no offense to punk rock. But what a bunch of punks at rock auto! Everything‘s fine as long as you don't have a question for them or a problem with your shipment. I had no idea when I first did business with rock auto that there was no customer service department no way to get in touch with them whatsoever everything is completely operated by computer! I did not receive a portion of my shipment on January 20. The last scan by FedEx of that package was on January 16. When I contacted FedEx who by the way was very helpful. They informed me they had lost the package. And to contact rock auto and ask them to re-ship my merchandise. With a claim number in hand from FedEx there was no way to convey it to rock auto. It is now January 28.12 days since my package was last scanned in Marietta Georgia. And what's rock auto got for me? They want me to wait till February 1 before I can even ask them to please re-ship the merchandise that I've already paid for! Horrible job rock auto! You just lost a customer!

I only put a star because this site requires it to enter a review. They do not deserve any stars. I have wasted my time for 2 weeks trying to get and order but I got nothing but a headache! After waiting for my order for two weeks, the status page still says two things: 1. Order canceled and 2. Order is processing and cannot be canceled. I have written to them at least 10 times and they still have not told me when or if they are going to send my order. AVOID THEM; THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am going to order from ebay!

Got stuck on a cold night doing a brake job and the clips they supplied rubbed the rotors. It was a Brembo kit for my Toyota that they supplied. Verified several times that the right parts were selected by me and sent by them and that I chose the set of clips that had the wider rotor clearance (you have to select from two different sets of clips supplied in the kit). Found out that the clip leg that engaged to the brake bracket was too long, caused excessive binding upon assembly, and subsequently caused the clearance to the rotor to distort and rub upon installation. Found out they only have email customer service, which put me through the wringer trying to prove why the parts were defective. They put me through the task of doing their quality control investigation for them! See the attached photo showing the issue, comparing the edge view of their clip versus the factory parts that came out of my vehicle, which I explained to them in great detail. Finally as I was progressing the return ticket, sending the requested photos after only 3 hours of the last email they sent me, they closed the ticket! Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else that had people you can call on the phone. There's a reason they don't offer customer service by phone, and it's not to save you money as they claim.

I bought 2 Strut / Coil Spring / Mount Assembly for my vehicle. They were $436.79 each. I brought the parts to my mechanic and when he was installing them he noticed that one of the struts had a broken wire. He was able to fix the part, and my auto is working fine. I went back to RockAuto and explained the situation after figuring out a way to communicate with them. They have no customer service. The email I used was *******@rockauto.com. I asked for a discount since the part was damaged. They said you should have returned the part. I explained my auto was already taken apart on a lift. Rockauto said they did not care. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, SPEND A COUPLE EXTRA DOLLARS WHERE YOU KNOW YOU WILL GET A PART THAT IS NOT DAMAGED AND YOU CAN WORK WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was finally able to get in touch with someone at Rockauto and they did give me a credit for $50.

And not that cheap, not cheap enough to risk getting the wrong part, pay more get parts from a reputable company, plenty out there!
Blatently wrong part, didn't even check the NUMBER!
TIP Always use your credit card for these shady online purchases!

I bought to upper control arms from this company. They sent me the wrong parts, so I shipped them back with the return label it came with. 2 weeks later I still haven't got my money. I messaged them and they say that they don't put return labels in boxes. (THE BOX CAME WITH A LABEL)! NOW they don't want to send me my money back. They STOLE 137 DOLLARS FROM ME!
