I ordered parts to repair my AC. One part was backordered. All the parts arrived except my AC condenser. I waited 3 months for it to be back in stock. I received it and then attempted to replace all the ac components on my truck. After taking the entire ductwork out from under the dash (huge and difficult job). I see that the heater core is not a match and the ac solenoid switch is not correct. Then I remove the grill and realized that the condenser was completely wrong too.
Their pictures don't match. They only offer 30 day returns and the process is very tedious and deters an easy return.
I bought a part the person that emailed me back said a total lie. I do t know how they even sell parts with no real people to talk to or someone to help you that will really help you not make stuff up that's what they did to me what a bunch of bull
Was sent a part that doesn't fit, their are two different motors for my truck., apparently they don't know that and sent the wrong one that doesn't fit, they are willing to refund the part cost, but not the initial shipping, taxes and return shipping, so I won't get much back and they will get their back, really bad customer service, trust me buy your parts somewhere else

I Just recently moved from UK to USA, so had no idea where to get a part from, like many others checked and RockAuto seemed to have best price, alsoread on reddit before ordering parts from RockAuto. Oh man Fool me.
I ordered on 4th to receive parts on 8th and 10th, now I have received only half of order one which is the strut and other one didn't come. Obviously you would not be able to do anything with one strut.
11 days later and I am still waiting for the 2nd half,,,,, no call,,, automated response to my email,,,, tracking one day shows delivery on 12th,, then changed to 17th, on 18th shows part is in a Warehouse C!
I tried to send back everything and buy all a little more expensive (assembly as a kit), but now they want to charge me for return around $25 even thought it is their fault!

Do Not Be a Fool and think you buy it "Lot" cheaper from them because actually you are not, when you go to place order, let's say you think you save like $50, they will charge a hefty delivery price which leaves you with a little to no saving comparing to other companies and for that 20 bucks you have to lose your mind, your time and You get absolutely no way to contacting them.

Wouldn't recommend anyone ordering from there! Brit I mention my package took three weeks to come in and I was told 4 days.
I have bought so many car parts from Rockauto and I have never been disappointed. They ship very fast like literally a few hours after finishing the purchase. Always getting exactly the stuff I ordered and totally on time. Furthermore I live in Europe and tend to receive my parts in like 5 days! Very happy with them.

Ordered an alternator for my truck paid for over night shipping at 935am local time 1135 central time for them, product has yet to arrive 3 days later, customer service rep refuses to return shipping fees and comes up with bs excuses, then proceeded to hang the phone up when I asked to speak to superviser about the problem, avoid the company at all cost. Yes local stores my be a little pricey but keep the money local and won't have to deal with the kind of crap

Rock Auto are incompetent scammers, which is why they have to advertise so much. They are also used to getting so many bad reviews which is why they managed to have there google review page blocked so people cant put it there.
I ordered a clutch for my Subaru. When I received it, it turned out to be listed wrong on there site. I even went back and double checked the site after inputting the year make model of my car, and it was still listed wrong, for future customers.

The part I ordered for my van did not fit. Because I ordered the part based on the type of van and year and the type of engine the part should have fit. In the process of installing the part it broke and now Rockauto will not even consider warranty of the part.
February I purchased a radiator for me 2006 dodge. When I received it I was surprised about the weight and quality of the radiator. About half the weight, also the retaining clips were cheap and flimsy. Still and all paid half the price for a new so I went with the install. In October the radiator started to leak. Now the tuff part trying to get a replacement. Since I didn't keep the original box I had to email them which is know where on there website. They did return my email. I explained to them I was disappointed in there product that it appeared of poor quality and that a part that should have lasted several years didn't last a yr. I had been a customer for several years and would like a upgrade. "RockAuto does not keep payment information on file, we cannot send the replacement without either a new order placed first, or the failed part in transit". After reading all the reviews I was not feeling good about sending them more money or sending the part at my cost. I don't know how this company stays in business with commercials and all. Now I am forced to purchased again from anyone but rockauto

Despite what their corny commercials say, the Local parts supplier especially if you have commercial acct is leaps and bounds the way to go. BUT my customer wanted to save $65 dollars and authorized the order BUT now 9 days later and their car still sitting and 5 times that now spent in weekly work Ubers..
Rockauto is the absolute cheapest place to get parts. Even as an auto repair shop, they rival or beat Dealers, part networks, etc. Unfortunately, their customer service is pathetic, at best is near useless, and at worst is actually antagonistic towards the customer, not addressing an issue but merely tossing links to their return page at you and closing your ticket. For instance we ordered a catalytic Converter. After install, issue was still present, recheck all oxygen sensors, oxygen sensors all check good, vehicle is reading correctly, but still display CEL. Instead of getting a refund, which I should've done then and there, I opted to have it replaced. They make you reorder the part, and then ask you to go for a refund on the new part. Shock and surprise, the new part does not resolve issue either. So now, at best I might get a refund for the newest converter but am out on the 2nd one. We had another shipping issue previously. For the average consumer who orders a part once or twice a year this MAY not be an issue. But for anyone else RockAuto could very easily screw you over.
Approximately three weeks ago I placed an order for two batteries (ac delco 94ragm) and both were shipped and received! You guys had the best price and had them in stock.
One battery was fine and the other was severely damaged and not use able. I filled out the form to return it and sent it back to your warehouse. Unfortunately, the second one was also damaged.
After I emailed customer service, Jarvin advised he was so sorry for the inconvenience and would refund me the full amount of the one battery and send me another one at no charge. While I was shocked and happy with this outcome, unfortunately a third battery was received damaged! Fed Ed driver advised it was on his truck with the box busted wide open and the case of the battery cracked and leaking. I refused delivery and had him take it back. You should have it in a few days
Still, my truck sits waiting for the not damaged second battery to arrive. A 2018 Ram 3500 Dually requires two batteries to operate! I still need a battery
I email back and forth every time asking them to properly pack the battery in something other than the thin cardboard they are using! It's not adequate enough to with stand the weight of the battery during shipping. Optima uses a foam wrap that works amazing.
My final email was with your manager Mark S, who advised me they will not be sending me another battery and said to send back the other battery. (My first one that was never damaged)
I went on to explain that the issue could be addressed with properly packing the battery not one of the associates address the actual issue but yet delivered another battery in the same condition.
I feel like this should be addressed so your not loosing product and possibly future business.
With no phone number to connect to customer service and doing it all by email is frustrating since the emails can take a few days.
Long story short, I feel you have an issue with in the shipping of these batteries. I guess I was lucky to get the one good one UNdamaged but at the end of the day I still need my second battery!

A bought a few items from them after "garage squad" promoted them. Then it happened! The aluminum radiator I bought for my Jeep didn't come with the nipples for the transmission fluid lines. That's when I found out they have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! All they have is return for refund or replace. THEY HAVE NO PHONE NUMBER! I will never use them again and plan on complaining to Motortrend about false advertising!
Sent me out 2 new headlight assemblies for my cadillac, and after install I noticed there's damage and dirt inside the housing. Now they want me to take them back out, send them back to get new ones, and be without a car with headlights for a week. And of course, it's all online you can't speak to anyone and the website forces you to do it their way, which is extremely inconvenient and costs you time and money.
