We can't trust future orders because of the possible hassle involved. They tout "in order to keep costs low" as a reason for limited support. Even so, they need to learn there is a minimum level of support required for customers. A level they haven't achieved. Any customer's savings is sometimes lost, with their lack of support.
Good work guys, fast shipping, always arrives in a day or two. Despite the bad reviews, never had a problem with them. I ordered the wrong part, which was my mistake, sent it back and same day they received it, it was refunded immediately. Been ordering for the past few months and have no problems. Will continue to order in the future.
First time and last time dealing with RockAuto parts. I had a day or two of flexibility for delivery but never received it till the next week. When setting up a return I had to send each part back to separate warehouses which was going to cost 50% of what I paid for the parts initially. It wasn't my problem came a week late now I have to eat it. You can be sure that everyone I know will be deterred from using RockAuto!
Purchased Hella Cleantech wiper blades that were listed for my vehicle in the Rock Auto Catalog. They absolutely do not fit my car. Impossible to call so I went through the return process and when I was done Rockauto said this was the manufactures listing and it doesn't fit it wasn't their fault. They would split the shipping with me on one blade and if I wanted to return the second blade I would have to pay for shipping.These were not expensive blades and shippng would probably cost more than the blade. Since Rockauto is selling the part, they should be responsible. What a cop out on their part. Finally went to Walmart, bought blades that they said would fit. It took 2 minutes to assemble to car.
I paid for 2 day business delivery it was not fulfilled. I contacted UPS and they said I was due for a refund through Rockauto. Contacted Rockauto and was given the run around. I bet they get the refund and keep it. CROOKS
The customer service support really sucks, the website wants u to choose a refund or order a replacement part but you can't talk to anyone to find out if your ordering another part that won't fit, at partsgeek you can talk to a person when you have a problem like this to make sure that your ordering the part that actually fits your car
Never ever again. Rock auto suck... I bought the rotor and brake pads they were wrong. So I had to send them back. There was nothing wrong with them and said they were damaged...noo they were not...they kept them and would not refund my money.$ 165.00...take my advice do not use then
I ordered a pair of front calipers. One was good, but the other leaked. The second one they sent me had no threading for the bracket mounting bolt. They told me I was out of luck for both calipers because I didn't get them installed within 30 days. My mistake for taking too long, but I think 30 days is way too short of a return window.
After placing about a dozen orders from Rockauto.com over a 4 year period without an issue, one came up. I ordered brake pads for my Honda Accord and the clips didn't fit; they were completely different than the original ones. I then discovered that there was no phone number or email address. There is a method for replacement for the same item, but that wasn't a viable solution. Their description of the parts was correct but their supplier didn't provide the proper parts in the box. I shipped the order back with a detailed note inside the box asking for help and never received a response. I will never order from them again.
When Rock Auto gets your order wrong they still charge you the shipping fees. They don't have a number to call, you're just stuck with it.
I had ordered a part but they sent me a totally wrong and difference item compared my original part. The packing was opened before sent out. In fact, the order number is right from the packing box but the item is totally wrong from the description's picture too. I asked for return and refund it for the wrong item that you sent, however, they charged me the extra return shipping fees for their absolutely mistake and fault. Also, they made me extra more time to print out the return label and dropped off the return shipment and more troubles on it for their mistake. They seems putting their mistake and asking for customer to pay for extra fees for their mistake. No customer's service and very bad business style for their own mistake. No matter how long time business with this shop, they still not accept their fault. Not recommend for business with this shop.
I was a long time customer but that ended today. You pick your delivery method and then no tracking information for a week. Took a week longer then the already one week shipping time. That extremely poor customer service especially when you can buy from Amazon and Ebay with free shipping in most cases. They act like they don't care. My money will be spent elsewhere.
Oil filters arrived with open gasket packaging. Filters and boxes had oily fingerprints on them. Expensive NGK platinum spark plugs came in open boxes with oily fingerprints as well. For convenience, Rockauto has no number to call and no one to answer emails. I purchase parts online regularly, (AudionlineParts, PartsGeek, eBay.) RockAuto is the worse. PERIOD!
Ordered sway bar links, one did not have threads for grease fittings. Ordered replacment part, same problem.web page won't let me return both parts. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Returning both parts in one box, won't be buying parts there again. Planed on another $500 worth.
So back in September I ordered struts for my Jeep needed a left and a right. So I ordered them from rock I ended up needing an engine for other reasons so those parts sat at the shop until I could get the other repairs done. Well guess I was sent two right side parts. So now I need to purchase a left (not through them) because I'm over 30 days. Part still in the box but it don't matter that my invoice says a left and right was purchased. I should have known. Not very fair for someone who knows nothing about parts but was trying to save some money wherever they could with the repair. Won't purchase again from here. No customer service representative to talk to just an email saying I had enough time to look. I get it but still it was the wrong part sent.
I find what I need then google part number, NO one has EVER been cheaper.

Ok, the negative reviews got to be by either auto parts stores or people buying the least $ parts. I've only had one return I ordered more than i needed, and the credit to my account, "my choice" was no issue 6 months later when I ordered again. I have never bought the least $ parts. When I find what I want i look it up at local parts stores, and ALWAYS have bought at rockauto. Example, this week i bought 6 iridium NGK 6441 they were $6.00 each at rock auto $12.00 each at Autozone, O'reilly, and advance auto parts. I bought 6 NGK coils at $19.00 each, they cost $49.00 EACH at the parts stores. I have ordered for about 15 years, I have recommended to the construction crews I work with, and no one has EVER said anything bad.

I ordered some springs and struts from rockauto I have Dodge Durango, 5.7 hemi but they sent springs and struts for 3.6 after I paid a shop to $250 my truck was sitting low in the front the shop said I think they sent u the wrong parts … NO one answers the phone you only could contact them by email 3 weeks later the struts start rattling $340 +250 money just wasted…. I will never shop from rockauto again. I also have other stuff I purchased a week after I bought my springs … like lower control arms
I only put a star because this site requires it to enter a review. They do not deserve any stars. I have wasted my time for 2 weeks trying to get and order but I got nothing but a headache! After waiting for my order for two weeks, the status page still says two things: 1. Order canceled and 2. Order is processing and cannot be canceled. I have written to them at least 10 times and they still have not told me when or if they are going to send my order. AVOID THEM; THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I am going to order from ebay!
I purchased a set of 10 head bolts for my 5.3 chevy (Fuel Pro).when torquing them to specks 1 broke and I thought it was my 300 dollar Snap on wrench so I bought a different torquing wrench after drilling and tapping a new BLOCK HOLE and continued on torquing the 2nd time and another bolt broke. Now I'm finding I have the wrong bolts with no way to contact ROCK AUTO to replace head bolts,head gaskets and this time the broken bolt is 1 1/2 half inches into the block with no way to get it out. I've sent text, email for god only knows how long now with no return from ROCK AUTO. This was my 1st and last time using ROCK AUTO. Now I need a new engine to fix this because they sent me the wrong bolts in the right box...is so wrong that you can't speek with anyone at ROCK auto. Worst experience I've ever had. Also I look at there reviews and found they have been to worst parts distributor out there and now I know why.
