Obtained online due to urgency on a Sunday and no local plumber available. Charged nearly twice as much hourly as quoted on phone. Been trying to get transcript of phone call. Told it has been sent to me by email( twice), a written transcript and by disc. But none of these received by me. Assume they are hiding info from me. This firm needs investigating for what appears to be lying to and overcharging customers.
I was charged £470 for two visits and they didn't fix the the boiler. I contacted a different company and they said that they should never have touched an unvented cylinder without the correct qualifications. They fixed the problem and charged half the price. Luckily I had before/after photos and their email to prove how incompetent the company is. I reported them to trading standards.
If you pay by credit card then contact them. I got a full refund.
Rightio are one of the worst companies you can hire for any work in your house. I was lumped with a fee of over £350 for a plumber who did not fix the problem and instead blamed it on us. The advice the plumber gave was also incorrect. Rightio have refused to take responsibility for this or to issue a refund.
Do not use this company.
After being disheartened by some plumbers we had contacted for, what we felt, was a reasonably small job, it was great to find someone who agreed to come the next day, and then came on the same afternoon. Whilst you were probably not the cheapest we might have found it was good to have someone knowledgeable, keen and reliable. Many thanks.
This was especially impressive and helpful as it was a Sunday morning. The engineer, Ray, was excellent - efficient, friendly and helpful. He identified the problem quickly, explained it to us clearly and resolved it promptly. He then told us what the next steps would be and even said that he would get us a quote for the remaining work the next day. Unfortunately my insurance company are insisting on doing their own assessment, so it isn't possible for us to go through you again, although I would very much like to have done so. We will certainly use you again if we have another problem.
Fantastic customer service from the very pleasant telephone booking (thank you Eve) to the efficient and personable young plumber, who quickly sorted out the problem, the whole job was seamless. We were even kept updated as to arrival time. Thank you so much
The plumber John who came was excellent knew his stuff and did not mess about wasting any time he diagnosed the problem and fixed it straight away he was polite friendly and knowledgeable and it was a great relief to have my elderly mothers issue sorted in such a professional way and it is very refreshing to have a trades person explain what they are doing and not be patronising.
From the very start, I found your people to be very attentive, professional and clearly able to communicate exactly what would happen and when it would happen. Nigel, the plumber who did the work was great. It turned out that he lives not many miles away from us. He did a great job and, as of now, everything seems to be o. K. I hope I'm not going to regret saying that with the sort of week we have had.
Unreliable, expensive and apparently incapable of turning up and fixing a leaking boiler, ive Now lost two and half days holiday waiting for the engineers visit slots only to be cancelled on the day and have now been two weeks without any hot water. Without doubt the worst service from any company ever ive used.
Was quoted £168 to fix a toilet ball valve that wouldn't shut off. Plumber turned up, was there for two minutes and said he didn't have the part with him but would check with his supplier and call back. I received no callback, but found the valve myself in the local Screwfix for £7.
I called them back to say I would sort it myself but was told that the £168 call out charge would still apply and now had VAT added taking the charge to over £200!
Absolute cowboys AVOID AVOID AVOID!
Engineer turned up within expected time frame. Immediately diagnosed root cause and implemented resolution. Did not flannel about ooh will need new flange bracket will cost x million. Used plumbing already in situ and resolved issue. Left giving advice on what to do should issue re-occur.
Very helpful gentleman when I called about two blocked drains. Everything was explained re charges up front and received a prompt call back once engineer had been contacted. 2 lovely chaps arrived and solved problem within 30mins.
Prices way higher than quoted or than honest companies, full of extras. Left with the job (drain unblocking) not completed, wouldn't honour their guarantee, wouldn't come back. Avoided my emails and calls. Scam.

Avoid dealing with this company! They charged my 85 years old deaf Dad who has Alzheimer's Disease £176.76 to replace a plastic light switch. Engineer falsified documentation. Customer Services very well versed in deflecting complaints. Chief Executive Officer Chris Carswell failed to respond to email, registered letter or request to return phone call to justify costs or staff practices.
Absolutely disgustung!
The plumber sent out to fix our toilet lied about what he was fixing, and subsequently left without testing everything was alright. If this wasn't bad enough they then charged me twice! Sneaky and corrupt practices... pls pls stay as fair away as you can
20 days after accepting their quote, on the day they said they would start work, Rightio decided that they weren't going to go ahead as it was too difficult. No discussion, no compromise, nothing. I will never use this company. Their customer service is appalling.
No heating coming from radiators upstairs. Called RIGHTIO. Man came on Friday 22nd Feb. Spent 3 hours and didn't do anything. Changed our boiler pump for a reconditioned one he had in his van. Charged me £30 quid cash in hand for that. RIGHTIO charged me nearly £500 on top. Still no heating from radiators upstairs. Got another company to come and sort out whatever the problem is. The guy didn't spot the clogged non-return valve nor did he spot the malfunctioning solenoid operated delivery valve.
RIGHTIO is not exactly a scam just another poor company.
All the 5 star excellent reviews you read here are fake and written by RIGHTIO themselves.

Feel bad giving this company any rating. They are without doubt the worst company I have had the displeasure of using. Missed appointments, shoddy workmanship (Plumber broke another part of the boiler that led to more delays) applalling customer service section, only interested in getting your money. After over 2 weeks of trying to get them to fix the boiler to no avail in the end I called a local Plumber who fixed the problem in 2 hours. After all this Rightio still wanted to charge me... incredible! Mentioned to them how they had been guilty of not filling out their obligations under the Consumer Services Act... that worked!... so suggest others do likewise with issues with this company. They are a prime candidate for a TV slot on Watchdog.
Called Rightio Saturday morning to address a leak in one of my rented properties. Very efficient service and a plumber in situ within 2 hours. Fairly priced and good communication- will defiantly use them in the future although not too soon I hope!
Had a small leak under the sink. Called Rigjtio plumbers in Cardiff. Guy came over but he was in a terrible hurry, constantly checking his phone because his next job had been sent through. (They get about 20 mins schedule for each job).
Anyway he changed a part which then resulted in water flowing into the washing machine instead of out the drain. The pipes were the wrong height. He came back a few times, did little tweaks, but could not fix issue. In the end the dude told me that I needed to lower the outside pipe to stop the problem and that it would cost an extra £100, this was on top of the £100 I had already paid them.
I ended up having a big argument with the guy on the phone early one morning and told him I never wanted to have anything more to do with him or his company. They are very rushed, incompetent, and they try to steal extra money from you by doing jobs badly. I had a very disappointing experience.
Avoid them like the plague.
