First and most importantly, for $439.00, I expected to simply submit my resume after it was completed. However, the writers were not familiar with the federal resume process. They tried to date my resume versus experience, inserted job titles I did not hold, and most importantly, merged unrelated jobs. They even failed to run a basic spell and grammar check. The result was a casually written resume, lacking the professionalism I expected. The company's attempt to change its website to hide these issues is a clear sign of their dishonesty. I purchased a resume writing service from Resume Writing Group based on their advertised guarantees, which promised that:
My resume would be written by a seasoned, full-time professional in the United States or Canada.
The company would make any necessary revisions to my resume.
They would deliver my resume on time.
I would be employed within 45 days of using the resume, following their advice, or they would revise my resume and refund its cost, plus an additional $100.
The service also required that I submit evidence of sending my resume to at least 40 prospective employers using their recommended methods. Despite following their instructions and applying to over 500 jobs (with documented proof), I received only 8 responses for next steps. Many of the companies I applied to are fully remote and have no physical mailing address, making their requirement to send resumes via certified mail both impractical and unfair.
When I contacted Resume Writing Group to request assistance or a refund per their guarantee, they refused to honor their promises. They cited hidden terms in the fine print, which were not clearly disclosed upfront, and imposed unreasonable and costly conditions that make it difficult, if not impossible, to claim the refund. Specifically, the company required that I send certified mail for all resumes, a method that would exceed the cost of the service itself.
Their practices are misleading, and the fine print undermines the guarantees they promote. As a result, I have been left without adequate assistance or a refund for a service that did not deliver as promised.
I purchased from them Resume, Cover Letter, LinkedIn Account, and Online Resume and they promised a refund on Resume plus $100 if I did not got hired within 90 days. I am still unemployed I told them and they never helped me and I also payed extra $60 for Online Resume and they never showed me the URL to it.
I selected the Resume Writing Group because of the positive reviews and professional samples on their website. I did not know what to expect, but I was reassured when I received a welcome email from my writer (Lori) the same day. I have 25 years of management experience with no resume, so I sent a 9-page list of skills. The next day, I received a very professional resume. However, I wanted additional skills listed, and for some reason, I expected Lori to read my mind. To my surprise, I received an email from the owner explaining the process Lori took to write my resume and asking for specifics to resolve my issue. A very poor experience overall. There were grammatical errors and much of my work summary had been rewritten into nonsense. The individual who reviewed my resume clearly has no working knowledge of my industry. Their money back guarantee is a joke. In addition, I paid more to have all of my work history reflected but the resume I received only covered the last two years despite them still charging me the full price.
Our money back guarantee is an outstanding program but we do require our customers to go above and beyond the "normal" job search methods. Just putting your resume on Indeed and hoping you are found out of the millions of resumes is not going to cut it in today's competitive job market. The resume Ryan provided was poorly designed, with cramped text and excessive blocks of capital letters that gave the impression of shouting at the reader. Furthermore, their e-resume service merely provides a link to the document and does not retain updated versions of the file. Not only did they fail to deliver a quality resume, but their cover and thank you letters were almost a replica of each other riddled with incomplete sentences and just lacked overall professionalism. They simply copy huge sections of the cover letter and pasted it into the thank you letter. It was evident that they lacked expertise in crafting effective job application letters.
Additionally, I find their pricing exorbitant for the subpar service provided. Despite providing feedback and suggestions, they seemed unwilling to listen or make necessary revisions. Overall, I would not recommend Resume Writing Group to anyone seeking professional resume writing assistance.
A year ago, I sought to update my resume and came across Resume Writing Group. I decided to give it a try, specifying the job title I was targeting. However, the resulting resume did not align with my request. I chose to overlook it and didn't contest the charges.
Then, a year later, I noticed an unexpected charge on my card, prompting me to contact them. It was explained to me that I had unwittingly signed up for a yearly subscription. I requested an immediate cancellation and a refund of my money. They complied with the cancellation but refused to refund my payment, arguing it was in exchange for services rendered over the past year.
This struck me as unjust since my association with this group spans only a year, during which I paid a substantial amount for my resume. To assert that this additional charge was retroactively for prior services feels deceptive. If you decide to use their services, be sure to make it explicit that you do not wish to opt for any supplementary services, which I personally never utilized.

Very horrible service, the site is not user friendly. The supposed writers just copy and paste from what ever you upload and just change the formatting.
Once I seen this immediately requested a refund and GM Heather Todd and Ryan in customer service just refuse. The website says 100% customer satisfaction which is wrong. BEWARE THIS SITE IF FULL OF THIEVES.

This customer only received their 1st draft and refused to communicate on the revision process. Writing resumes is a fluid process and requires a 1st draft and then a revision. We asked customer continuously for additional information as he only provided a very small amount when he placed his order. We called several times and emailed several time but customer would not respond. I personally called and spoke with this extremely rude customer and he said f**k o** and hung up. As we have all seen there is a small group of people in the world who just want to yell and scream and are totally unreasonable.
I updated my resume but was not getting any traction from my future employers, so I hired resume writing group to revamp my work history and give me feedback. Based on their initial review, I agreed with their assessment (which is free) and hired them to revamp my resume. I distributed my resume (and even resent it to one company I wanted to work) and I was called in for an interview.
