This company is flagged on the Better Business Bureu for their BS service fee (which is not apparent when you make the reservation. Save yourself 20$ and use another service like kayak or Expedia. Can't believe this kind of predatory business is even legal.
As other people have commented, I was grossly misled that I had to book through reservations.com in order to get the hotel I wanted. Half way through the call, the lying woman on the phone changed the amount of my room I then hesitated and said I would call back to confirm, I was bullied and lied to about having to book through them. I was NOT told there was also a $19.99 non-refundable fee. What I was told was for $2.00 more, my reservation would be FULLY refundable. I reluctantly caved to the bully and made the reservation. HOWEVER I ended up finding the actual number to the hotel and called to make my own reservation,$45 cheaper. I confirmed with them that they do NOT require, nor endorse, reservations.com. I called reservations.com back and cancelled.
I was advised it would take 10-15 days to refund my card. BULL! I checked my online account and low and behold, THAT is when I saw the $19.99 separate charge. I immediately called back and was very aggressive about NOT being charged the $19.99 and was lied to again and said they would refund once as a courtesy. Followed up the next day and the charge went from pending to debited against my account. Called again and was assured it would be credited back. Scammer, liars, and thieves
I booked this room believing it was the direct website for Super 8 by Wyndham and did not realize that it wasn't until I got a confirmation email. The room rate was advertised at $67.00 and the amount they immediately charged by card was $108.24. I reported them to my bank and to the Front Desk Clerk at the hotel, who is going to report them to her Corporate office.
After having my room booked in one hotel in mount laurel nj and all the others in our work travel group biking at the second Hilton Garden Inn in mount laurel, i was told by the front desk to cancel it at the other hotel and then call reservations.com and cancel it there and give them the name of the front desk person that I did who was Victor and that they will credit me the room. After doing all of this they will not credit me. So no more of this crappy company for me. This was on 11-20-2019
I'm an extensive business traveler, almost every week I'm on the road. Both US and international travel. I had to book a business trip to Hong Kong and there was a particular hotel I needed to stay in. I did not realize that the site redirected me to Reservations.com. Once booked I realized they charged for everything upfront and it was non-reimbursable. Unfortunately my dad had heart surgery and I had to cancel my trip to be with him. The documents from the hospital are in Spanish. I had to prove to reservations.com that this was indeed a health situation but they wouldn't take my documents because they were not translated to English. Bottom line, they kept all the money and had no respect to what the customer was going through.
Same experience with others, went into a Holiday Inn site and redirect to reservation.com. Did not realize it was not the hotel. They have charge me USD for the hotel and I end up cancelling the reservation immediately. They charge me $20.00 service indicate not refundable but they end charging me the whole amount. I have called but refuse to refund the amount. Biggest SCAM ever. Will report to local authority and I will notify the hotel.
Thought I was on the hotel site, but was actually on reservation.com. Just a few minutes after booking, realized I needed to change the reservation by one day. Was charged $15 (now almost $20) and would not refund. Was cheaper to book direct. Complete fraud, DO NOT USE THIS SITE!
Horrible! Scam! They charge more for taxes than exist.
The taxes they charge are more than double what the actual fees and taxes are. The cancellation fee is 19.99, and you can find a much cheaper rate than the actual hotel or other online providers. I actually checked on the site thinking that I was clicking on the actual site for the hotel. I learned my $20 mistake. Hotel room was actually $75 less my contacting the hotel directly.
They do everything they can to get your money. What started out as a 134, ended up over 200... with no cancellation. It was cheaper to reserve from the hotel!
STAY AWAY FROM THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY! THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT GIVE IT BACK AFTER GIVING YOU IMPROPER PRODUCTS. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST BOOKING SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED! SCAMMERS!
I thought I was on the hotel website, as their name was conveniently hidden, and their was no mention that I would pay $20 just for a reservation that took 2 minutes.
Terrible experience, terrible customer service. The reservations booked on reservations.com go thru priceline, which then goes thru agoda.com which books it with the hotel. Total waste of money will never use any of them again. A 1-star is generous!
Billed twice and given two rooms instead of one I needed. Mislead due to Reservations.com using 3rd parties, Priceline and Get a room to process the request. Totally unprofessional.
Hidden fees, company will hold your money for 2 weeks even if cancelled, do not use them! I got no satisfaction from English impaired customer service
What a complete scam. They didn't tell me there was going to be a charge of $19.99 and then they charged another $34 for ONE NIGHT hotel stay. When I called to tell them I don't want to pay the extra charges, they fought me the whole time and refused to refund the charges. How is this even possible. What a nightmare of a company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
I made a reservation through this company and realized that there was big difference in fees compared to just booking through the hotel directly. Then, when I tried to cancel, there was a non-refundable $20 service fee! Do NOT use this service... they should have offered to refund the whole amount because I had booked and wanted to cancel the same day and the reservation was months away. So I'm out $20 just because I used their service.
I wouldn't be surprised if my Credit Card gets hacked after using them as well. SO MAD!
On September 5,2019 we thought we made a reservation through Marriott for a room on October 15th. Within minutes, we realized that we had made a mistake on the date. In trying to correct the transaction we found out that somehow we had been logged into Reservations.com and that there was no way that they would make an adjustment as they had a no refund policy. Our credit card company unsuccessfully attempted to block the payment and warned us of companies like this.
If any of my children worked for reservations.com, I would be embarrassed and feel that I had failed as a parent.
Worthless company... no respect for their customers... almost EVERY other site allows you to cancel. I'm fine to take a fee, i get that, but the fact that it is completely non-refundable is the biggest joke. The better business bureau or someone who has some pull should shut these jokers down. HORRIBLE!
We tried to reserve a room directly with a hotel not realizing that the site defaulted to reservations.com. The date I entered for our stay defaulted to today's date instead of our actual date of stay. Not 3 minutes after booking when I went in and tried to change it they said there was no way to return any funds and to contact the hotel. The hotel says they have no control over 3rd parties, So were stuck with a reservation and out money. We will pursue and hope to have remedy, Do not use this fly by night, rip off company, Also, very disappointed that Best Western is affiliated with this company. Won't book through them again!
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.
Answer: Impossible to get money back. They're just scumbags!
Answer: Yes, this company charges a fee, which it will not refund even if you cancel your reservation within minutes!

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
Answer: My experience is the same. reservations.com obviously nails a lot of unsuspecting Canadians this way. They don't make any attempt to help you out when they are confronted by this way of hosing us. Its a sleazy organization.
Answer: Hello Brodie, We have sent you an email this morning regarding your concerns. Please email us directly so we may assist you. Sincerely, Customer Support Reservations.com
Answer: Yes, you were billed. Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. Your company should remove it, send you a new card and assign you a new card number.
