Not willing to disclose all fees

Easy, straightforward.
But then there's a note on Resort Fee being owed to hotel upon check in. No details on the "resort fee" and then find out after reservation made it adds another $50 fee per night to the total. Really needs to be disclosed and clearly stated up front prior to purchase. Otherwise, it's quite shady in not knowing what the added fees actually are ($1.00 or could be $1,000.00, or?).

Not a difficult choice

I looked at other properties in Ely including Motel 6 and decided that the Magnuson was the best pick for the price and also location and amenities. I believe I stayed there before a long time ago.

Disgusting company

This company is the most scummy, disgusting company I've ever had to deal with. They booked me in a different city and won't let me change the reservation when the reason I booked a certain hotel was to be close to the hospital as I am due to give birth to my son who has multiple severe congenital heart defects. On top of that, when booking I told the agent I get a discount because I'm meant to be at the Ronald McDonald house but they're at full capacity, the agent said that gets dealt with at check in which is just incorrect. The lack of discount is annoying but we would've still stayed at the hotel given it was the right location. It is sick what these companies get away with and how little they want to help. I hope this company fails as everyone who works for it is just as scummy as the people who put the "rules and regulations" in place.

Excited, then let down
April 3, 2025

UPDATE: The hotel gave me a different room than what was reserved and there was no mention ANYWHERE that the waterpark is essentially closed during the week. The pool is open but the slides and lilypads are only open on the weekends. The main reason I chose this hotel was the waterpark feature and the king suite.

They had great deals and allowed me to use Affirm to make a great vacation for my kids!

6 pm check-in and my room hasn't been cleaned yet?

Arrived at 5 pm for 3 pm check-in and my room hasn't been cleaned yet? Had to wait while my room was cleaned. Asked for a discount, was told no. Not sure why, because you people obviously collected late check out from someone and then charged me full price for a part time room. That's some BS right there. Will not happen again. Nugget takes way better care of me.

Great Price Easy Checkout

I was looking to book a room for a big event but going directly through the hotel website was almost $900. Reservation Desk was affordable and easy to use. I got my confirmation email and receipt immediately. I'll definitely use their service again.

OMG! I don't know where to start! First room I was checked into (105) had a cockroach run right across the bed which I killed and took a pic of! I went to the front desk and showed the person the pic and he checked me into a floor above (205). The room was filthy! Toilet wasn't cleaned, floor had hairs all over the place and the room itself had pennies all over the floor and not vacuumed! There was 1 foam cup in the entire room! I went to the front desk and asked for a bottle opener which they didn't have and some larger cups which they didn't have! No menus in the room of takeout places which I had to drive to! Remote control had no back exposing batteries! No ice bucket in room! When I asked for one, a bucket showed up at my room which was dirty and had no plastic bag in it! Ceiling in shower had cracked plaster! Floors between had garbage like Q-tips and dirty napkins which were still there when I woke up! Won't be back and I honestly should not have paid what I did when the hotel charges $62 for the room!

Let me start by saying they said they had a pool didn't tell me it was under maintenence and wouldn't be open thee night or morning I was staying. I checked in around 7 and by 8 called the front desk to get them to bring me a remote for the TV that was not in the room and a battery to stop the smoke detector. But 930 neither were taken care of so after 4 trips to the front desk I got a remote batteries didn't seem to work in the detector to stop the beeping. They finally made it up to my room about 1030 to look at it. Looked at it didn't know what was wrong said they would come right back and never did no follow up no room change. So I couldn't sleep with the beeping. Walking into the hall smelled horrible of trash. Large amounts of trash bags in the hall that sat most of the night then when"taken out" had leaked all over the floor making the smell worse and floor sticky. I had my kid and dog with me neither slept and my dog had anxiety due to the detector beeping. Horrible horrible service.

Overbooked

We reserved a jacuzzi king room 3 weeks ahead. Check in was at 3pm. Paid $230 arrived at 430pm was told they did not have our room it was given to another customer because they had a problem in the room they had. Was told could be given an another when we agreed we had to wait longer was put in a double queen with broken mirror it was 530 causing us to be late for our plans we made. Hall outside the room smelt like sewer The breakfast that is provided was only bread,bagels,orange juice and coffee. Was definitely not worth the stay.

I couldn't scroll down from February to July to make my reservation. Tried 3X using Firefox. Had to switch to Chrome to make the July reservation. So, not a perfect experience...

There is no way I'm spending 200$ a nite for a bed? So no way on he'll em I spending 500$? Do you care about people. Or just money. It shud include every event listed. And every meal including in your overpriced bed. With a door?

I made a reservation for 11 nights. A medical situation happened almost immediately afterwards and I had to cancel my reservation. I called back, the lady I spoke with to told me it was nonrefundable. I said that wasn't acceptable and asked for her manager. She said she can contact the hotel and if they say it's OK to cancel then she can cancel. I stayed on the line she contacted them. She came back on and said it was cancelled and I would see the credit on my card in up to seven business days, which didn't sound right to me, but I said OK. She said she will email me the cancellation. I never received the email. I called the hotel and the reservation is still active. I have tried to reach out twice today to speak to somebody about cancelling now I'm waiting for a call back. I'm so disappointed and I will never use this service again and I do not recommend it. The person I spoke to had to take my name down several times, because she couldn't get it right. Obviously she took my email down wrong because I never received a cancellation email. Someone from Expedia contacted me to confirm that I had made this reservation because it was for 11 days and the cost was significant. I explained that I had cancelled it. He confirmed that it was active. He said that he could not cancel it for me. I would have to reach out to reservation desk, but he did note that the email address they had down for me was. Extremely extremely disappointing and very stressful. I'm still waiting for a callback.
