The overall reputation of the company appears to be significantly tarnished by numerous customer complaints regarding transparency and service quality. While some customers reported finding competitive pricing, the majority expressed frustration over undisclosed fees, unexpected currency charges, and non-refundable booking policies. Many reviews highlighted difficulties in reaching customer support, with long hold times and inadequate responses exacerbating the dissatisfaction. The prevalent sentiment indicates a lack of trust, as customers felt misled by the booking process, suggesting a need for the company to enhance clarity in its communication and improve customer service responsiveness to rebuild its reputation.

Somehow, while booking with Hampton Inn, I was directed to resaver, and like many, their website was so constructed to inform me of terms and fees after I booked. I suffered the usual unexpected surcharge of $60. I immediately called to cancel, and the only thing that they could offer was to cancel the reservation without a refund (big help). OF the many scams on the internet, it is important that you know when you are diverted from what you think is a reputable site to fraudulent site. Buyer Beware. I encourage all those who fall victim to this site to contact the Hotel to inform them.
ReSaver uses same 1-800 phone number as Getaroom.com. Both operate the same way and are real scam artists.
Same as restroom. Booked Canadian Hotel- site gave rate but no indication was in US$. Had to pay the big mark up. No satisfaction from these robbers or the credit card company. They should be put out of business. Shady. Deceptive. Dishonest. Don't use them
In booking room at Hartford Sheraton, I found "special" rate of $229, but found total at checkout of $332.55. No mistake, they said, and no refunds. They are shysters, and if I could give 0 stars, I would.
Booked a king room at the Springhill Suites in Chandler, AZ for $134 for one night. At check out the taxes and FEES brought the total to $195. There was no breakdown between the taxes and fees. Turns out the fees were $33.
If I had booked through the company website, the king room was $154 BUT the taxes and brought the total to $166.
As you can see, there is NO saving by booking through Resaver. There is a NO refund policy so I am stuck overpaying for this room. My advice--book directly with the hotel and NOT this site.
A.M. From Las Vegas
Accidentally booked a room from this website. I was 2 minutes past the cancelation time, 2 hours with horrible customer service and 70.00 more expensive in hidden taxes and fees. Luckily, the hotel I booked with made this right.
I booked a room on resaver.com, they charged me right away, but when we showed up at the hotel a couple of days later Resaver's charge card that they use to pay for rooms was declined so the hotel would not give us a room. I had to call Resaver.com and was on the phone with them for over 1 hour, and 45 minutes of that hour was being on hold. They also charged us $40 more than what the hotel would have charged. Worst website I have ever used to book a room. Don't ever use them! They don't even deserve 1 star but I had to or I couldn't post.
NEVER BOOK ANYTHING WITH RESAVER.COM. You are charged way more than the actual amount of hotel charges. They do not save you a dime! VERY DISAPPOINTING!
Resaver and getaroom are the same place. Im $58 poorer for using their service.
I will never use a 3rd party booking again. They charge you up front and you think it's slightly cheaper until you get the hotel "resort fee" and taxes added in making it more expensive. These fees didn't show up until I left the hotel. Also, they state that there's de-booking fee which you don't get through a hotel booking. I got steered to this website by Yahoo thinking it was Hilton. Always watch which website you are actually going to when searching and avoid 3rd parties.
As a travel agent, I answer the phone for over 100 different websites. This one is BY FAR the WORST.
They tack anywhere from 17-40% service fees onto reservations, don't tell you until you're booked, and they are non-refundable.
Resaver is also a subsidiary of Orbitz.
PLEASE, I beg you, book with anything but resaver
We too had this happen to us! My husband phoned them and talked to an agent to which she said, so sorry but there is nothing we can do. He told her he wanted to speak to her supervisor. The supervisor came on the line and she went on to say there was nothing they could do. My husband started yelling and as soon as he said he was calling our credit card company to report fraudulent charges, boom, they refunded us! No where on their site does it say anything about charging in U. S funds. Extremely misleading!
I should have known better. But I was in a rush, found an incredible rate and booked. I immediately received confirmation of my booking at the price quoted. Next day, my Visa bill indicates that the amount quoted was in USD and the Canadian 29% currency adjustment was added to my bill. Compared to Hotels.com, I am paying about 40% more than I should be paying. Nowhere on the resaver site did it mention that the currency was quoted in USD. Nowhere in their terms and conditions did it mention that there was also a 17% SERVICE fee. I've tried every venue to resolve this but nothing has worked. Also be forewarned that the Holiday Inn received my payment from "Orvitz.com" and could therefore not reimburse me or re-book at a reasonable rate. CCI*getaroom.com provided my payment to Visa. So it looks like there are shells of shells of shells of companies popping up websites, taking your money and basically defrauding you. I should have known better.
Answer: In my case, NONE. Not even on the confirmation email. I discovered that the transaction was in USD when my credit card sent me notice for an international purchase - I am in Canada and I was reserving a room in Canada...
Answer: If you want satisfaction, talk to getaroom.com I originally thought they were the same company, but resaver is an affiliate that uses getaroom's infrastructure. They are very quickly racking up numerous offences that are making both getaroom AND expedia look very bad and both companies have stated they will be looking at cancelling their affiliate contract. Deal directly with Expedia or getaroom. Resaver won't give you your money back, but their affiliates will. And Resaver is in San Antonio Texas, at 10004 Wurzbach Road. I STRONGLY recommend you file complaints with the Better Business Bureau, the San Antonio Attorney General, the Texas State Attorney General, and the Federal Trade Commission. I'm pretty sure this business has a lot of skeletons in its closet that beg far closer scrutiny than just the complaints here. Throw the law at them.
Answer: Their WHOIS registration (info they have to provide to get a domain) is: Registrant Organization: Resaver.com Registrant Street: 10004 Wurzbach Road Registrant City: San Antonio Registrant State/Province: Texas Registrant Postal Code: 78230 Registrant Country: US Registrant Phone: +1.8002919434
