THIS month Only out of four weeks has only been picked once on time. Today I talked to a man named Michael and he said it would be picked up later today, but never did. Waited till 19:30 and had to bring back in. THIS MONTH VERY POOR SERVICE.The scheduler. SHOULD BE FIRED. Need to take PRIDE IN YOUR WORK. THANK YOU

Canceling my service with Republic after just a few months… This is the most inept company I have ever worked with, which is saying a lot. If you only need regular trash and recycling they are OK, but if you need anything else outside of those normal things done, do not use this company.

I called to add on an additional pick up of some yard trimming bags and agreed to the additional cost. Here we are over a month later and I have had to take care of the bags on my own and the additional charge for lawn trimming pick up was still on my bill. This was after calling more than 10 times over the course of 3-4 weeks and each time being told it would be taken care of that day or the following day. I spoke with managers who did not bother to call me back or update me. So these bags were just sitting out of my house for over a month making me look like a total idiot to my neighbors lol.

Each time I called I asked if the charges were going to be on the bill since the bags were never picked up. No one could ever answer or confirmed that would not be on the new bill. Once that charge appeared on my newest bill I knew I had to cut ties. I scheduled the end of service and bin pick up… When that day came they only picked up the recycling bin. I called to ask what happened, Got the same "What is a good contact number that we can follow up with" with no follow up. Wonder how long it will take them to pick up their trash bin. I have no idea how this company is still running.

Worst sevice

Wish I could leave no stars. Bad customer service. Called cancelled service charged 60.00 to pick up there trash can and charged 38.00 for inconvenience fee/fuel fee. Prices go up every 3 months.

Set up for failure

I am not happy with Republic services trash company. They picked up my first week of trash after I just got in service with them after that they picked up one bag here one bag there. I ended up with Thanksgiving trash all the way up to Christmas trash they still hadn't picked up my trash. The city of Aurora even contacted me and gave me a violation and said that if I did not pick up my trash that they were going to hire someone to do it for me because it was a biohazard because of all that food. Now they're charging me for three months and I had canceled prior to that now I am in collections for $150. They never did refund me the amount they should have and they actually owe me money for not picking up my trash for the month and a half. I would not recommend republic service trash as your trash company unless you want to be set up for failure.

TRASH LITERALLY!

This place is a joke! First took them 2 months to get me a can then they missed 3 weeks in a row so then I cancel they don't get their can again for 2 and a half months this time and now 5 months later just got a $162 bill from a creditor bc republic services never sent me anything at all and today I just spoke to them and them have nothing to say other then $#*! me! So no $#*! them they will pay in the end karmas a $#*! watch your trucks gonna start breaking down now you slime balls!…. It's making me give them 1 star but I don't give them $#*! DONT USE REPUBLIC SERVICES! FRS "Let's Go Republic Services"!

I canceled my services early in the year because my prices kept going up. I was getting the same service as my daughter across the street but was paying three times as much. When I canceled my service, I had just paid for the next three months. They told me I would get a refund which I was expecting in the mail. Three months later and I haven't gotten my refund so I called. I was informed that they will not send you the refund unless you call for it. They are ripping off and scamming people. They are much better service is out there for Murfreesboro than this with a lot less money and more appreciative of the business.

TRASH MAFIA

If there were a way to give zero stars I would do it. First off Republic repeatedly missed trash pickups at my business. Sometimes even after a phone call they still didn't come out. Sometimes they would pick up only one of my 2 trash cans. Leave trash scattered about. And wouldn't pick up the cans at all if they were not right in the middle of the sidewalk blocking all pedestrians. And upon the closure of my business due to covid 19 I was charged 135.00 to have my 2 small plastic trash cans picked up. Its not a dumpster it was 2 small plastic cans. I was informed that it didn't matter if I was told on the disconnect call about the fee. It was in my contract and that wasn't their problem. They are rude on the phone and if you have the displeasure of getting them on the phone they are useless.

Horrible service!

Horrible service and prices. They wanted to charged me 700 dollars just to transfer chabge my service's address and I órdenes 2 special pick up for my container paid Almost 40 dllrs each time when ordered and one week later they charged me Almonte 500 dlls more. Rateros!

I ordered Trash Containers 2 weeks ago. On the day they were supposed to deliver, I called twice to make sure they will deliver both times they said YES and I never got it. I called the next day and NOW they are telling me they dont have it in stock and they dont know when I will get them

Poor Service across the board
December 13, 2022

I've been a Republic Services (RS) for a year now. Over the year, there have been a couple of issues that I find a frustrating as one of their customers. I hoped having a national company and paying a premium for service would lead to better service and higher level of professional but it has not been the case.
First Issue, They have repeated left half of the trash in my can (operator moving to fast IMO) and having trash fall outside of the truck. In one instance, they left almost an entire cans worth of trash in street for 4 hours. My neighbors and I picked up the trash after waiting for an hour because the debris continue to spread down the street.

Second issue is with their auto-payment service. I set up auto pay when I initiated the service. Within a few months, I get notice that my scheduled payment didn't go through so I needed to pay my bill directly. No direction on went wrong with the autopayment. They added a $5 late fee to my next bill. Needless to say, I called the customer service line where I was on hold for 20 minutes before I dropped. Just frustrating. You might want to consider another option when it comes to trash collection

HORRIBLE!

HORRIBLE! We have almost a MONTHS worth of trash and they still haven't been to our house to pickup. I have called multiple times and no one answers. If they actually HAPPEN to answer/call back, they just schedule a pick up and then it never comes. We will NOT be paying this months bill. Absolutely ridiculous when you pay for a service and you get ZERO SERVICE.

The trash company I used was purchased by Republic Services, so I did not voluntarily choose to do business with them. Over two years they managed to literally DOUBLE the price of my service. It was impossible to actually speak to a live human being, and when I got fed up and actually signed up with another service, they charged me a $35 fee to come and collect my cans. I am fairly certain this is illegal because I never agreed to this with my old company, and I was never asked to agree to new terms when Republic Services purchased that company and rolled me in as a customer. However, you can't speak to a human being, and I finally just paid them when they kept threatening me via email. I will make sure, however, that anyone who reads reviews knows what an UNETHICAL, TERRIBLE company this is to do business with!

Don't expect to reach anyone to help you when you call customer service. They have to get your representative to call you back, and guess what? IT NEVER HAPPENS.

I also tried to cancel the contract, which you can only do IN WRITING and mailed to their office. I sent it certified, return receipt, and NO ONE WOULD PICK IT UP at the post office.

They have it figured out. Do not look for friendly, helpful customer service. You're luck if your trash gets picked up every week!

Completely incompetent
August 17, 2021

I cancelled my service almost 3 week's ago because of poor service. Missed pickups, charging you for recyclables and not once did they ever pickup my recyclables. Still haven't received my refund and was told it takes 7 to 10 business day's. Called today and now I'm being told it takes 6 to 7 week's to get my refund. UTTERLY RIDICULOUS!

Horrible!

I've never filled out a review before, but this company is the absolute worst! I called 3 weeks ago to set up service, I'm told its all set up and cans will be delivered next week on the regular scheduled day (Tuesday). I received a call the next Monday, I had a past balance on a previous account from 3+ years ago at a previous address. I pay that past balance and pay another $123 to start service at my new address which included first months and can delivery fee, etc. I'm told now that since its Monday there is no way they can deliver my cans that week and I would receive them next Tuesday. This week Tuesday comes and no cans... I call them again and talked to a supervisor. Apparently my account was never set up and some how the agent last week reinstated service at my previous address that I haven't lived at in 3+ years... Now I'm told my $123 is sitting as a credit on that old account/address and in 3-4 weeks I can call for a refund... Apparently today they are setting up my new account at my new address and once again I'm told I'll get my cans next week... they refused to bring them any sooner... Let's see what happens next week... in the mean time its 100 degrees and I have trash piled up for several weeks. Praying I get cans next week!

Recycling scam
May 18, 2021

Saline county Arkansas. Contracted with company for trash and recycling collection. Recycling extra expense. Collection mostly fine until March 2020. Both were scheduled Wednesday collection with recycling alternating weeks for many years. Postcard received March 2020 stating waste collection changing to Thursday. So, both bins were placed by road for collection on Thursday. Upon retirement 12/31/2020. It was noticed recycling was not being collected regularly and would have to be reported as missed. One pickup. Noted by husband as collected by same truck for both trash and recycling. He called to complain and had to leave a return number but never received a return call. Friday week ago wife called to report missed recycling collection, were told would be scheduled for Monday. Called back Tuesday reporting no collection spoke with Supervisor corporate office who stated our collection was on Wednesday. Told them received postcard changing to Thursday. Supervisor stated that did not include recycling only trash. Card stated waste only. Did not realize that did not include recycling. Requested refund for year of recycling not recycled but was denied estimated $100 refund. I was told it was our responsibility to know recycling was only on Wednesday. No one ever contacted us that we were putting our bin out on the wrong day for over a year. Very sorry company to do business with. Cost of bins went up regularly though never replaced. Not customer oriented.

I attempted to make a payment via their website on my due date. The website did not appear to be working right since after entering my info and submitting it just spun around. I tried it twice since that was my due date. Since I received NO confirmation number that my payment was made ok the next day I viewed my balance and it still showed I owed my monthly payment. I tried one more time and this time the website worked and I got a confirmation number. However I noticed 3 emails in my inbox thanking me for payment. I called customer service and they confirmed they had me down for 3 payments! And that there was nothing they could do about those 2 extra payments coming out of my bank!. Basically I have now paid my bill in triplicate and too bad it can't be fixed. They only can
offer credit towards the next billing cycle. This is entirely an issue with their website. Is it intentional? They should have been able to stop the extra 2 payment "attempts". Bottom line. Never use website for payment! If you try and are not successful your attempts are costing you money!

What a RIP-OFF!

We had been using Republic Services for many years after switching from one of the local trash companies. This was a BIG mistake. While the trash service was OK and the bin a bit nicer than the other companies, the increasing rates these shady operators charge extinguish any positive rating possible. In 2015 we were paying about $150 per quarter. In 2019, they quarterly rates charged increased from $229 to $270. In 2020, the quarterly rates charged increased from $271 to $319. In 2012 they quarterly rate increased to $357. After complaining that our rates were increased to about $25 per pickup, the response was that they would gladly charge us $50 per pickup. Bye, bye... Be careful of these folks ripping you off as well.
In addition, when trying to contact the company you need to wait a long time every time you call. They frequently do not get back to you. When the original company got taken over by a non-local company that was the beginning of the downfall. Stick with the local companies and do not let these folks rip you off!
