Our yard waste has been sitting out almost a month I've called customer service a lot of times. I've been expecting a call from them for 2 days. If we could we would get another company.
First the fact that their example of a positive review is a person saying I met a good black man! Lol just met a good man would have worked. I put a king size mattress out for large item up Friday well it's Wed and it's still there. Called on Friday they said well for sure by end of day on Monday. Now it's for sure this Friday. They missed picking up my trash 5 times and I said I want credit and was told you get credit on the 6th time! Lol so happy I moved Saturday and no longer have republic.
The company took two months to drop off the garbage container s and was trying to charge me 277$ dollars for the services that I never had then after two months late they dropped the container s and they were filled the same. Day because of the back log of trash supposed to be emptied once a week and we're not emptied once a week for a month like they said they were filled with trash for a month couldn't get them to empty them cancelled them after 10 calls to straighten it out They are the worst
Save your time and money going with Republic service. I canceled in Aug after I payed my bill. They kept going up without telling me. From $116.40 to 149.26. They told me I would get my 149.26 back plus 85 deposit. It's been almost a month now. Still no money. But I payed then in July. I just called them again and told her I never got my check now she said she would put it in for me to get my money but now she said I'm only getting the $80 and some change back. I don't understand why we pay for there fuel like I told her when I go to work my boss does not pay for my gas. She said I had a choice if I wanted to work or not. That pissed me off. I have been working for over 40 years. I don't know how she thinks they would get payed from me if I didn't work. I spoke to 5 different people up there trying to get my money back. Never would I used these people again.
DO NOT USE! This company is the definition of corporate greed! Profits are their only agenda. Customer service is two words in the dictionary that do not apply to the Corporate Values of this company.

If you want weeks of garbage flowing out of your garbage can, rodents making your neighborhood their new home then by all means please hire this company. They have possibly the worst customer service ever. They routinely Miss pick ups in our neighborhood for weeks on end. They never reach out to communicate and when you call they are rude and leave you holding as a punishment for even calling. They promise to rectify the situation and give you a day they will definitely be picking up but don't get excited they won't be there. Your garbage will continue to pile up and stink in the heat. You can't invite friends over because of the embarrassing amount of trash you have spewing out of your can. The only thing this company picks up quickly are their paychecks from you, not the trash.
I got covid and was deathly ill. I didn't know they kicked out my automatic payment. They took my can. I called immediately and paid 300 for them to bring it back. They said 5 days which would be Tuesday! It didn't come I called and they informed that the rescheduled without calling me to Friday, my trash day. So now I have to wait another week due to them being jerks! I'm getting a refund and going else where! Horrible company with horrible people!
They don't care about their customers. They only care about your money. Don't dare have a bag sticking out of your dumpster. They'll charge you out the a$$ for it.
We all know the world is short-staffed right now. I can empathize and understand the current situation... But what I can't understand is rude customer service on the phone... I'll be taking my business elsewhere when my contract is up. This is what 3 weeks of trash not being picked up looks like.
I will give it zero stars; I scheduled a bulk pick-up and paid for it over the phone. They gave me a date; I waited two weeks for the date they gave me. Finally, it comes the day, and I put my bulk in the curbside. I call to check what time they're coming to find out they don't have anything scheduled for me.
I have had numerous missed pick ups and republic says they will send someone out and they don't. More importantly they refuse to get management involved in the conversation.
Unreliable, horrible service, they just don't do what they say they will do. Great company to use if you want your property to look like a garbage dump.
It has been 3 weeks since our trash has been picked up. They keep saying that they have until 5 pm on the day of trash collection to get it. It's now almost 6, my trash cans are overflowing, we have critters getting into the trash and no answers.

Just because you say its a agreement its not an agreement unless it is a signed agreement, which there is none! Verbal agreements are not legal either, when no one informs us of specific charges.

We ordered, signed a contract, and paid for a 30-yard dumpster -- when it didn't arrive on the scheduled day we called and were told they made a mistake in the paperwork and needed to charge more -- they also said they called us which they never did. We filled out paperwork again and were told it would arrive on Tuesday. On Tuesday, we called and they said they didn't know why someone told us that -- the soonest it can come is Thursday. On Thursday we called, and were told it isn't scheduled because we still owe money on the contract. We spoke to this company 4 times on the phone and never got a dumpster.
Its been 3weeks they missed my trash every week and ive been a customer for 18 yrs WTF! And cant get a trash can delivered for 3 weeks as well the service has been going downhill and nobody in there corperate office gives a $#*!! Next time trash truck rolls down the street im throwing my trash bags through his $#*!ing window... $#*!ing $#*!s do your Job! PRICKS!
I've had this service for 3 months and they have only picked up my trash once. Every time I called to inquire about the missed pick ups, they said they were short on drivers and assured me they'd come the following week. This went on for months, leaving me without a pick up for months. I ended up ordering a 2nd trash can because the lack of pick ups caused my trash to have a serious back log. Be it as it may, I called to cancel service a month ago, and they're still charging me for service I never had. When I called to find out why I'm still getting charged, they said they had no record of me calling to cancel and that if I did, they would see my number that I called or that my called would have been recorded. I asked to speak to the supervisor and she put me on a long hold so that she could listen to all of my calls; after a long hold, she came back and stated the last call that she had was August 4th, when I asked for an additional garbage can. She had no record of me ever calling after that from my phone number; which is a lie. I'm able to prove that. I have a call log from my Carrier showing a 9 minute conversation from my number to the following number: *******801 on August 11th, at 3:19 PM. I gave her the benefit of a doubt that perhaps it was a misunderstanding, but I knew full well that she was being shady once she brought up that I mentioned in another call that I had a party at my house and that was part of the reason for my overflow of garbage. She didn't mention in that same call that I was complaining because they hadn't picked up my garbage in weeks. She had selective hearing and was intent on ripping me off rather than working the situation out in a just and honest manner. Having a shortage of employees is forgivable. But being shady, dishonest, deceitful and unprofessional will drive this company to the ground. Instead of trying to work things out to try to retain a customer who could have potentially stayed on board with them for years to come (making them far more revenues from me in the long term), they seem only interested in a short term rip off. Very Bad business.
So to start off with I'm an easy customer. Hardly have a full trash, always have my can at the end of the drive way and pay on time. Wish I could say the same about Republic. The one time I have a full trash they don't pick up. I put a ticket in for missed trashed and normally get it picked up within 24 hours. Nothing. Put in another ticket. 24 hours. Nothing. Get off work early to call them during "office hours" to be SCOLDED that because I put in two tickets them picking it up Friday was cancelled to have pick up on Monday. (How that makes sense if I'm on the pick up list why remove me to put me on a pick up list) but fine. Monday comes and goes and my trash is still not picked up. Call again. Told nothing they can do will come Tuesday. Tuesday comes nothing. I now have full can PLUS another week of trash building up in house in Amazon boxes and garage. There answer well we will pick up your normal day. Really will you? Cause I don't believe you at this point. What about all my extra trash. Well we will have them come twice for you Wednesday. Why not come now? Well put extra next to can? Oh put bags of trash where animals can get into it? I had to go BUY an extra trash can for them to pick up the trash and then when they come a WEEK LATE they don't pick it all up. Trash is all over my curb and IN MY YARD! IN MY YARD. The trash wasn't even mine that was in my yard. So incredibly lazy. I got every excuse in the book. Landfills full. Trucks are full. Short staff. Route delays. COVID. Funny my parents have Republic with a city contract and they have no delays or issues. Then again that's 500 people contract 5 miles from me. Told them that and asked why they pick and choice who they service... Dead silence. Then to make matters worse after cancelling them OVER TWO AND HALF WEEKS AGO AND MY ACCOUNT SHOWS INACTIVE... THEY CHARGE MY ACCOUNT FOR SEPTEMBER! I CANCELLED SO AUGUST (THE LAST MONTH I PAID FOR) WOULD BE MY LAST MONTH WITH THEM AND THEY CHARGE MY ACCOUNT! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE COMPANY. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!
After cancelling because they kept raising my rates and not picking up my trash they tried to charge me $18. I had already cancelled service and gotten an assurance that my bill was fully paid. I couldn't get anybody on the phone or to answer emails about the bill so I ignored it until they threatened to send me to collections. I then involved the better business bureau and attorney generals office and they backed down. All I needed now was for them to pick up my trash and recycling bins. They told me they would be picked up "sometime by august 31". After leaving them out for 2 plus weeks they picked up one of the two bins on August 31. The other one they just left sitting there, right next to where the other one was. Truly the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with. 1 star is way more than they deserve.
In the past 2-3 yrs, this company has declined with missed pick ups/ late pickups and leaving the cans sitting a little in our narrow streets. I have recently 'tried' to cancel--before the next quarter period of pickups. I talked to about 4 people in all (getting them on the phone is a huge pain), starting with the first 'customer service' person who said she could not help me w/the billing, but would put through the cancellation for the end of that month. I started getting robo/collecitons calls, so called and eventually got to (should have been billing) a rude 'sales' dept person, who said she would put through the cancellation now--it was still before the end of the month, and would pick up the container 1 wk later on my regular p/u day and to put the can out for them. I put the EMPTY can 2/3 of the way UP my driveway so the regular trash people would know not to pick up. It was p/u'd later that day which was into the next quarter period.
I was told the p/u can would be $30---then I get an inv for $33 PLUS the next quarter/3 months for trash pick up. It looks like nothing was cancelled---I cancelled per their own wesite so as not to incur the next quarters billing--but am still getting robo/collection calls. FYI: The past year of trying to pay by phone automated system has been a joke---they kept showing I owed a little bit, a little bit there and I don't know why.
Per their own website: so your cancellation will be effective as of the last day of the month in which you cancel. For example, if you cancel service on March 15, your operating subsidiary will process your cancellation to be effective on March 30, which is also when they will remove your waste container(s)
I cancelled with 2 different people BEFORE the next quarter period. I don't know what else I could do to get away from this company! Except for picking up the can, they have not addressed ANY of my other concerns. I have been using their service for many years, and this is how they CHOOSE to treat a senior citizen? I am now taking my own trash out the county location which is very simple and close to home---why didn't I do this years ago (or always) since my taxes are paying for it whether I want it or not.
Answer: Only company that offered recycling in our area but obviously an over priced scam since both bins were emptied into same truck.
