I rented a car through Booking.com that ultimately processed my car rental through Rentalcars.com for a vacation in Colorado, when I went to the rental company to pick up the car they said they could not accept my pre-paid funds through Rentalcars.com and that I would have to pay for the car directly to them and request a refund from Rentalcars.com. The agent also said that this is a common problem. After my trip I contacted Rentalcars.com to request the refund and all I got was a run around with emails from some different every time they responded. Their customer service is basically non-existent. I'm sure they knew the pre-paid funds would not be accepted, that's how the scam works.
Ordered a car through them, needed to actually add a day, they told me "the original booking would be able to be cancelled without a fee" yet they are stealing my rental fee of over $400 when I need to cancel because of changes to our plans almost 5 months away. They are thieves... DO NOT USE THEM! They also said they couldn't transfer me to a manager, sounded like a person working alone in a silo somewhere and was rude and had no intent of providing customer service. Already put a fraud claim in on my credit card and will be reporting them everywhere I can.

Thinking it made complete sense to keep my bookings in the one place, I organised a rental car through the booking.com app also, and it was only after I booked that I realised that it was organised through rentalcars.com.
They cancelled my booking 24 hours beforehand, but deducted money from my bank account immediately after booking. Now I'm left without a significant amount of money I'd budgeted for a rental car, with no rental car.

Absolutely disgraceful service! Booked a hire car in Nov 2021 from Chambery Airport for 12/03/2022 -got an email from Budget to check in but the booking didn't exist, Budget stopped operating out of Chambery months ago and Rentalcars didn't know! After many emails telling them they conceded that budget weren't there, today ( the 11th) I have managed to speak with someone at Rentalcars who said you can have a refund we cant get you a car! -if it hadn't have been for me checking i would have been stranded at Chambery airport without and transport - they just didn't care and thought that offering me a full refund would make up for it! -WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN AND WILL MAKE A POINT OF PUTTING THIS REVIEW WHEREVER I CAN!
I received a parking ticket in an Enterprise car I had rented. I paid the municipality within 48 hours of returning the car. Enterprise sent me an email after I paid the fine to inform me that they were going to charge me a $25 fee as well.
Sent them a response indicating that I would no longer do business with them after 20 years if they charged me anything for a ticket that had been paid. I received an email back indicating they would charge me, so done with them.

I am now stuck paying 3x the price, and the customer service ppl were beyond nasty on the phone. When I asked if I could escalate the call I was told that it was not company policy to provide additional assistance. Worst car rental company ever!

I booked a car rental in Los Cabos Mexico with my Capital One world elite credit card. When I went to pick up my car the attendant wanted to charge me more for additional insurance before I could take the car. I showed them proof that my credit card covered me for the additional insurance. They said it wasn't good enough even though the papers I showed them had everything needed that was listed in the terms and conditions. After a lengthy argument I ended up not getting the car because they were trying to take advantage of me. I was still charged 100% for the car. I tried to dispute it with my credit card, but they couldn't help me. NEVER USE RentalCars.com, you will regret it!

Suddenly, on the day I was supposed to collect the rental car, the rentalcar system cancelled my booking. And I have to pay a cancellation fee of USD90. I cant communicate with any person in charge. I don't understand why Rental cars took money for the booking and the local cronies they used charged me as well. I am in the process of suing them for fraud and for giving me a car that broke down and was not replaced. I think this says it all.
Prior to booking it reads no cancellation fees. You can cancel up to time of rental. I cancel and they take my full booking amount stating no refund. Tried calling and live chat and hung up on. Called Dollar rental where my car is booked and they don't have my booking. Now they have my money and my card details and I can't get in touch with anyone. Their name is just a trading name, they are booking.com and when you call they are Priceline. So many names and so many false claims on their website. They are actively looking to steal your money and are definitely not about finding you a fair rental. There is no customer service at all. I can't reach anyone. I have reported them to the better business bureau and you should too.
This company is unethical and absolute crooks. My card was charged 4 times for a car! Don't use these crooks. I tried to get refund after not using the company at all and was only refunded for two of the 4 charges! I will call my bank again to see why they again put 2 new charges back on my credit card!
Got to Miami airport late and the car was no longer available and no more were available. Called carrentals.com and was told they couldn't do anything. Was also told the car rental company was at the Miami car rental center but it was not. Have tried several times to get a refund and have been refused. I don't ever do bad reviews but I feel this one is necessary. Please don't use this company.
I wish I could give less than a one star to this company. My father-in-law was admitted to the hospital today and we were to leave on a trip and pick up a rental car tomorrow. Of course, I have had to cancel our trip. I have reached out to this company via email, chat, and phone but have been told I am out of luck even though it's a medical emergency. If I want to rebook, I must make changes by tomorrow even though I have explained that we are dealing with a medical emergency and don't have time to figure out another time, place, and date to reschedule the rental. I have tried amending things on the website but receive a message that I can't do so at the current time but to check back. This is incredibly frustrating especially when I am dealing with a more important situation. I would not recommend using this company!

For example, when you are landing on one of two or three airports in the city software does not have support for this, software has support only for one or main airports and without codes of the airport.
