Reddit is a biased platform that is a slave of current government. There is no freedom of speech on that platform. Even innocuous posts about truth of government are removed. Pathetic.

No free speech allowed!
September 13, 2023

You talk free you get banned forever. Political subjects are off the table. As soon as someone feels attacked no arguments are required to get you banned forever.

TOXIC, Dumb and Confused
January 11, 2022

This site is maybe the most toxic site on the Internet. Part of it is the fact that everyone is anonymous and part of it is the majority of users are young, dumb, immature, angry and lost in the world. The site also skews strongly towards American, heterosexual, white males b/c that is the vast majority of their user base. The karma thing is childish and it's like cool points in middle school. People will literally attack you for asking an innocent question or anything that is different from their opinion. And the Mods who run the site? They are the same idiots using it too. The level of toxicity and anger is unbelievable. The subs are like the writing on the bathroom wall and everyone pretends to be pseudo-smart but no one actually has any clue what they are really talking about. They are all lost and confused and searching for the meaning of life by asking other lost and confused individuals to agree with them to reinforce their false beliefs. Also the behavior is very reminiscent of middle school and high school kids where gangs of kids will pick on, bully and belittle others. Very sad. Also if AI flags one of your posts for hate speech or something else then you go to the Redditt kangaroo court where if they find you guilty you are banned from the site forever. Do not waste your time for you own mental health.

Just like twitter, youtube and facebook, Reddit is the same Left controlled Rag. Moderators are allowed to make their own rules based on personnel bias. Management control does NOT exist.

This is not the first time Reddit decides to shadowban random accounts. I used Reddit for chatting, commenting on posts asking for help in the computer-department (I am a computer engineer). So, one day I got a problem and I thought: Let's ask Reddit! I posted my question. 5 days later; no replies. That's odd. No up- or downvotes either. Then I browsed my history and all my comments and posts didn't have any replies or whatsoever. A quick search and checks made me realize I have been using Reddit for over a year while I am shadowbannend! I was literally talking to... NOBODY! I asked Reddit about it, which they encourage in these kind of situations, but I did not get any reply back.

I created a new account, on a different machine with VPN. After an hour: shadowbannend. No reason, no message... Nothing. What the **** is wrong with Reddit? Is the mighty Reddit finally down and reached the bottom? I have been using it for 7 years, 1 year for nothing. I would rather go to Facebook or Twitter instead of this piece of sh*t Reddit.

I hadn't posted to the site in weeks, no subs had complained against me, and I get a site ban out of nowhere.

The site used to be great but has changed into a smorgasbord of nonsense.

If you are anything other than liberal you will be banned for just haveing a alternative view. They do not want a discussion of competing views just a liberal sounding board.

Reddit is very difficult to use, and the moderators are rude and not helpful.
They are driving their users away.
Parler, Mewe and Gab are much better than lame reddit.

I've been on reddit for a few months for gaming and whatnot and it seemed to be a good place for help etc. About a week ago or so, I left reddit. Why? I posted something on a certain page, and immediately the post was deleted. I cannot tell you how infuriating that was. I did absolutely nothing wrong. At first I thought it was the page itself that deleted my post, but after reading other bad reviews, it seems like it was the system itself, not the specific page. I then wanted to contact Reddit so I looked up contact information which was pretty nonexistant, except their own reddit page or their blog.
I know there are people out there who agree with me(especially judging by other reviews I've read). I mean, why delete a post that did not break any rules, tos or anything? If this is how reddit treats their users, I hope they bite the dust sooner or later. I've since deleted my account. If I need help with a video game or whatever, I'd check out the reddit links, but other than that I'm absolutely done with reddit. Why would anybody want to stay with reddit if they just delete random posts out of the blue? I should mention, the post was deleted instantly after I hit the"Post" button. I wouldn't recommend reddit to anyone. If anybody asks me about if they should join, I'd tell them: "ould you like your posts deleted for absolutely no reason?"

Tower-Bridge.com trading platform scam
June 22, 2022

About a week ago I signed up with the above Mob
First I was contacted by *******@towerbridgeservices.com who set my account which I funded with 250.00USD. Then I was assigned an account manageress *******@towerbridgeservices.com.
Conversation was good but then comes the questions like: How much is in my super, my bank, other trading accounts, I need to know this:-(. Even though that was weird the answer was harmless and one can lie. All good the first day, I made 27.80 and hat to withdraw $100.00, so I did. Second day - market is really good put more money in! Take it from your bank your bla bla bla, using all the information that I disclosed! When I refused, she said you don`t even have enough to sign you for this event. "Ok" i said "So maybe I should just hang up!?" If you want she said, and that is the end of our conversation for good.
No a refund of my 176.80USD, no letter (email). Nothing! Stay away. STAY AWAY! These people a ripoffs, unregulated, liars. SOMEONE SHOULD TAKE THE WHOLE COMPANY DOWN! TOMAS client nu: *******

I was told my responses violated sexual misconduct. I don't respond like that and never have. I never entered topics like that or gave responses like that. Either they have bad phishing or bad mods.

Like we all know by now, stay away from this garbage.
Moderators on random subreddits have power to ban accounts older than 10 years because of almost nothing.
Just terrible, fascism at best.

Used to like the site but then people would downvote you before any open conversation can be made about your comment. It's a stupid feature.

Goodbye Reddit.

.. USED TO. Not too much anymore after periodic overhauls. It seems as though the platform that was once about freedom is now about censorship. A lot of the comment sections (although have always been ridiculous and foremost a center for comedic exchange) now seem to be echo chambers; a bunch of people agreeing with each other with little to no effort put into critical thought. Ex- Sargon of Akkad was recently "quarantined" (censored) and made out to be an alt-right figure. I won't waste time on the details but I used to watch/listen to Sargon and I can't tell you how far from the truth that is. Proof - He has sent gay-interracial porn to Alt-right figureheads for the sake of trolling them. This whole fiasco came about when he declared he was running for office in Britain. Hmmmm.
That's just one example. I could go on for days about issues with the bots, subreddits, reposting, censoring and politics of Reddit. But all I really want to say is, "I used to love it, but barely use it anymore solely because it feels like a platform to push an agenda on, instead of a free and open community.

First of all, this is huge time pit. You're going to lose a stupendous amount of time in it.
Just like TikTok, it relies on gathering vast amounts of information, solutions, shared stories in all walks of life.
However, think first. There are so many subreddits that some are used for corporate purposes, for marketing and HR purposes, e.g. for big box stores. Others are supporting whole professional industries, like plumbing, HVAC and electricians.
Still, think first. Are you gaining any real knowledge there. Track this and you'd see how much time you investing in browsing through the ramblings of a large number of people with nothing better to do.
Some forums do provide some form of service, such as mental health and legal advice, but all come with a disclaimer, and veracity of stories there on occasions seem not genuine.
Moderation of subreddits is absolutely rampant and adheres to no common policy, to no basic chart of rules, or some parameters that would guarantee fair review should you be persecuted by a mod. And you'd be persecuted by one, believe me. Mods are the worst of reddit users. Usually they hate themselves and hate everybody who leaves a spec of misdemeanor on their subreddit. In the case of a few subreddits you'd get a ban for absolutely no reason, even for erasing your own posts.
It is a huge pit of time that can suck you in pretty hard. Don't give in, save your time and do something more productive. It looks like it is a fun time learning stuff, but at the end, it is not, and the time wasted could've been used to really learn more.

Finally, the front page to the internet. OK, so that doesn't explain much. Basically, you find something online you want to share with others, you click on the funny little alien head. You input a title to explain your find, along with additional text, and there you go: you've shared a bit of your life with the world. Reddit has a rating system (upvotes, downvotes) to control how interesting and relevant your link is to the community, and the most interesting, funny, or touching links usually makes it to its coveted "front page" (the first page you see when you visit the site). Because of the various "sub-reddits" available on the site, you can register a screenname for yourself and start personalizing what information you want to see on your front page (i. E. If you're a fan of jazz music, http://www.reddit.com/r/jazz has posts of jazz-related finds).

This site is notorious for having a massive following and a simplistic design, making it easy to use. Commenting on others links allows you to give your opinion on the post or ask questions. You don't even have to post a link to an image or video to ask a question, search for help, or contact other users. After a few days of trying it out, I'm sure you will be as hooked as I was because there is so much original content floating around on the site that it keeps you coming back.
