Horrendous website, non-existent freedom of speech, you're only allowed to discuss the way they want you to, heavy censorship inducted by the cuckolding gestapo subreddit moderators, they outright delete and ban any posts and anyone they personally don't like, or any speeches that go against their agenda. I've never seen one moderator that behave sensibly on this site, you're not even allowed to message them or challenge them in any regard. In many popular subs, the opinions are controlled with bots that massly upvote/downvote posts in order to fabricate popular opinion. Reddit is the combination of everything wrong of the internet nowadays, any smart person should boycott this site and block this domain for appearing from your browser, we cannot allow reddit to monopolize internet forums.
I was on Reddit from early on and watched the site degrade into the carnival of censorship it is now. The site is rife with powermods and admins who's MO is "if you can't prove them wrong, ban them!" And it's common.
I installed Reddit as I was curious about a topic. It kept messaging me and I thought I silenced it as I don't want notifications. It happened 2 more times despite being silenced so I uninstalled it but I'm still getting notifications about user agreement updates etc. I can't complain as the email address is not monitored and I can't complete the form as I don't know what version I uninstalled! All I can do is give this poor review I guess. On top of that to add insult to injury in order to post this review I had to subscribe to yet another site who I'm sure will be just as hard to get rid of. (SiteJabber) How do I get rid of Reddit once and for all?
Reddit has definitely been on a downward trend since about 2011. I am still a daily user because I only really go on the subreddits whose content I know that I like. I think Reddit can still be a great site if you avoid certain subreddits like the plague (especially religious/areligious, political, and ones infamous for $#*!posting).
I have contributed tons of solid pieces of articles on Reddit, but alas the members see it as spam and reported it multiple times.
These articles were well blogs and some youtube videos of the product that I was using, but to my notice, I was falsely reported and got banned from that subreddit, after few months I created another account to post new content on the subreddit where my previous account was banned and BOOM it happened, my new and previous account all suddenly got Banned.
Just take my advice, Reddit doesn't deserve any contribution, it has the most $#*!ed users and admins in the group. Don't create an account for just promoting your articles, blogs, website or any other stuff.
It's cool because there's a collection of probably every possible topic you can think of. However, you realize most of the content and information there is bogus, and the posters there are parroting information incorrectly, so beware of what you're intaking. Lots of toxic communities and posters as well (pretty much the majority of the site and users), as it's the Internet and everyone feels brave to be hostile and toxic through a computer.
I posted a comment under a Bernie Sanders page. I wrote that the Communist Control Act Of 1954 needs to be enforced, and instantly banned. I guess Reddit proved my point. Are we living under communism and the Constitution doesn't apply anymore! Freedom Of Speech is being destroyed. The entire constitution is being stomped on, and it's a SAD DAY IN AMERICA
Is a joke...amazing when you make people
Moderators (little power) and they become keyboards gangsters. I was commenting in this forum and many times its the dumbest comments so because its not that serious to me, I often commented "lol", "haha" etc so the little moderator banned me saying I gave no advice and was useless. Wait you are sitting behind a computer and not a real job with benefits, PTO etc and I'm useless? Lol
Fyi... its the community "r/legaladvice"
Reddit pretends to be both the front page of the internet, and a proponent of free speech. You are allowed to speak freely if you are hard left leaning. They allow left wing subreddits to brigade, but refuse to all The_Donald to be on Reddit All.
Your company is so gay yeah please pay to have this deleted so I can put another one that you can pay and have deleted again your company is so gay the worst 1 ever created that is why I uninstalled and told all of my friends as well to uninstall reddit the gay app.
I just started with Reddit a little over a day ago, as a newbie I am treated unfairly, everything I post gets removed. Everything I say gets removed. This is the worst app for newbies ever. The mods do not respond to anything I say to them.
Basically the entire front page is paid for, Upvote bots active on many leftist subreddits. Not only that but one of the owners of the site was caught editing comments. They even reset the upvote counter of some pro trump posts and even banned a subreddit off the front page because it was pro trump.
It is a gathering place for the scum of the earth. Moderators seem like kids that were picked on in school and now have turned into biased internet trolls. Logic and intelligence does not fit there.
Bans right wing discussion but allows drugs, sex, violence, and racial discrimination. I have never seen such censorship on a site that claims to advocate for free speech. What a shame
Anything negative posted is banned. Too many down votes and you get a 10 minute ban. Are we in kindergarten and allowed to speak or express an opinion
Simply love reddit, is one of the easiest ways to get reliable information and quickly.
If you want to look for a job, it also serves that purpose. Just join, do not ask.
Reddit will eventually be brought down by it's low quality and hostile content producers. Children and intelligent individuals need to stay away. I'm blocking this site on all devices.
While this site claims to be a place for community dialog and conversation, it falls well short of it's intent. I would say it approaches Berlin wall era censorship.
Honestly, I don't understand all this hate against Reddit. It enforces communication & discussion among member, just post your thought to the right channel and follow the rules: you'll enjoy it!
Say you're someone who isn't a NPC without an internal monologue. You have an opinion, and you share it. Everything goes well until the anti-wrongthink users start downvoting you en masse, and you get banned for exercising your first amendment rights.
It doesn't help that the only subreddits that approve of opinion sharing are either quarantined so they're hard to find, or outright banned.
TL; DR It's $#*!, as you can't have an opinion without getting banned from almost all subreddits. Just go to $#*!ing voat.co or some other free speech supporting reddit clone.
Answer: Absolutely cancer. Unless you're an NPC without a brain of your own.
Answer: Use sitejabber, much better. Since they don't make you jump through hoops to post a review and they don't censor negative reviews. TONS of bad sites online. TONS of corrupt sites. Clean up the internet. Break up these monopolistic companies.
Answer: Don't trust reviews from reddit because the site is censored to get rid of negative reviews. Censored by corrupt moderators and admins.
