I'm sorry. Could there be a worse platform to rent a movie? Substandard website and tech support via Etch A Sketch. Is it 1994?
I love it is AMAZING don't get me wrong, but the only catch is you MUST have a credit card of some type and enter all of your private information out where anyone can see it, I think the should have a little "keyboard" like atms do for typing, that would make it quicker and easier to get a movie. And people wouldn't be waiting in line as long
I'll add inexpensive to the list as well. Though the selection is far from huge, if you enjoy a variety of newer movies, checking out the nearest Redbox is worthy of your time.
Overcharge you when a movie is supposed to be free. The charges are extremely confusing. Then when you call to fix it, you can't hardly understand what customer service rep is saying.
RedBox is the place to get new releases for the whole family at a low piece, it's one of the best inventions so far that have been made. The price is reasonably.
I am a registered nurse and rented the movie Red Rocket out the Comedy section of red box. I have traveled for many years for work, and I work in the ER and ICU. I have seen a lot in my 45 years. This movie was pornographic and promoted underage sex as well as the exploitation of young girls and women. I find it disturbing that red box is promoting an adult film with this content and will do my best get the message out. There are enough horrible things in this world, and you contributing to the demise of not only families and children by allowing this to infiltrate our homes, but the demise of this country who needs positive encouraging programing and support to enhance moral and ethical behavior in todays world. From one front line worker, woman, parent, child, sibling, and partner, and woman of faith, I request that this movie be taken out and that Red Box clean up its act and monitor more closely, as well as think about the effects of the content of these movies to our family unit, and country. -Thank you, Kimberly V. RN
Redbox sucks balls ask you for money on movies you can buy at Walmart for $4 want you to pay $2 every time you watch it old movies from back in 2000 still charging you money for LOL and too many damn commercials in the free movie section I'll stick with tubi..
I get a Redbox video typically 2 to 3 times a month. It is very convenient but if I go over a day I will get extra charges. I think they make most of their money on over age days
I bought the movie trolls for my son it was 9.99 so after two weeks I notice I was missing money in my account little did I know they charged me 32 dollars so I called and they said tuff luck
Rented a movie, returned it, and got charged ten times the price, spent over an hour on the phone and they won't refund my money unless I sign up for account, which I didn't need to rent the movie or to be charged, and even though they have the credit card number they won't refund my money unless I sign up for their account(ridiculous, I have to sign up for an account to get MY money back, that they incorrectly charged me for), they are thieves, their business model is terrible, they hung up on me twice when I called, and they are totally unreasonable, save yourself the trouble and stream or rent your movies at home
SCAM ALERT! Redbox is unable to protect you while logged into your account. While adding a new method of payment I was phished by a site called Tundum.co.(After research they are flagged as a SCAM) Now again... not searching the web but logged into my personal account with Redbox. Contacted Customer Service Supervisor, even screen shot photos via Customer Service Chat. A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME! Their answer was "We are not affiliated with them, contact them". Your Personal Info and Credit Card Info "IS NOT SAFE" with Redbox!
I rented a movie and when I went to return it the box was telling me that I wasn't putting it in the right way even though I returned a thousand of these movies before I called Redbox to tell him about their malfunctioning boxes and they tell me to bad sir you bought the movie keep it there's nothing we can do for you
I like redbox to rent movies... But they rip you off! They over charge you watch your bank accounts. They have over charged me many times and i always have to call them. I rented a movie and it was returned i even got the email saying that it was returned. So a few weeks later they take out 33.00 from my bank account i call them and I'm like what's going on? They said i never returned a movie i was so surprised i had to argue with the agent and i kept telling her i have the email saying it was returned i told her i would send it to them... She said she would return 31.00 back i told her that's not what you took out. She then said she had to charge me for the movie when i already paid for it and i had the email. She didn't want me to send it to them and they only refunded me 31.00, i could not believe it i was so upset. There also has been times when i had a coupon they send you i use it but they take out the full amount not the amount that was charged. They rip people off i can imagine how much money they make ripping off people. I like renting the movie's from them just be careful and watch what they actually take out!
Ive been to them and each dang time i open the box to make sure its the movie i rented...its not. What are people doing stealing the movies i wanna watch?
It is highly unfair to think that every rental from one of Redbox's Kiosks will be perfect. The vast majority of ours have been. However, the last one (rented from one Kiosk, and returned to another. 5 miles away next morning like we have done in the past) did not get registered as a return. A few weeks later we received a notification in the mail that we had an over $30 charge for the non returned rental. My wife was the primary renter for this movie, and she & I both called in to talk to Customer Service separately. Neither of us could provide the near impossible amount of information for Redbox to look into the mistake. We were told that they COULD look into this return, but would NOT since we couldn't satisfy to their standards that we were the actual renters (We did provide CC information, Redbox subscriber information, All tracking/ID information from the invoice they sent us). Again, I can handle issues popping up with services like this. I am just highly disappointed at the almost obvious steps Redbox corporate has taken to keep from having to solve their mistakes. Our family is now part of an ever growing list of people that are severing all ties with this corporation. Too bad Redbox has not learned the lessons of Blockbuster and Hollywood Video.
I use Redbox every once in awhile. I encounter glitches with the machine often. Soemtimes it says its available and its not---Returning a disc can take forever.
I still love redbox anyway
Red box is a great place to get movies you have missed at the theater. I love it because I do not have to stand in line to get a movie I want to see Brenda Carlton
Don't honor promos - customer service either unavailable or unhelpful. Even when I've contacted customer service to ask them to fix their error, they say they will and don't.
Disgusting
I have still not used Redbox and continue to remember this experience 2 years after it happens. Whenever someone brings up Redbox, this is the story o remember. Not a great experience and I STILL WOULD NOT recommend.
I used redbox for the first time a month ago and was charged about $22.00 in late fees for two movies. Now I don't know how to work redbox so when I clicked through the promps I was waiting for a due date and I never got one. I was not notified of the charges to my card and they informed me that all charges were final. I will never use redbox again. It's a waist of my money. I strongly suggest family video, Netflix or Hulu.
Dont make a mistake on your order, once they "fix" it the disk you wanted at the kiosk you wanted it at is gone, even though you just had it reserved 1 min ago.
