Gift card dont even work
February 5, 2017

Bought cvs gift card 1. 25. 17. Card was $156. And went to use at cvs today 2. 3. 17. CVS tried 3 times to use magnetic then 2 times manually bought the card did not work. Spent 20 min cvs with other customers not happy waiting too, then 23 min at RAISE THEN, 12 min WITH american express (am ex said we would be refunded fully dispute). RAISE 1 YEAR turned out joke as well the 100 day guanante. I DONT KNOW IF ITS FROM A SELLER OR A ACTUAL STORE BUT RAISE SOLD IT AND IS FULLY RESPONSIBLE FOR RAISE TOMAKE RIGHT REGUARDLESS. RAISE TOLD, to print, get envelope, etc. big waste time, don't trust RAISE, the didnt honor the money back. Look at how often the have BBB complaints.

DO NOT buy Starbucks cards from this website! Starbucks will zero out your card if you add/transfer funds from a card purchased at RAISE. They are not authorized by Starbucks to sell cards.

Very disappointed

I have been an enthusiastically recommending Raise user for the past year. I have saved over $7000 with them. Does this tell you how many gift cards I have bought?
Their customer service was excellent. If you called them someone was there to pick up the phone and solve the problems. If you emailed them, they were prompt to return your email and solve the problem. They were courteous and efficient. I had a great deal of confidence in their reliability... till the past two months. There must be some big change going on.

PHONE CALLS ARE NOT PICKED UP ANYMORE!
EMAILS DO NOT GET RETURNED FOR CLOSE TO A WEEK ON TOPIC REGARDING GIFT CARDS WHICH WERE ISSUED BUT HAS NO MONEY IN THEM!

I do not have confidence in their service.
I really do not understand how some recent reviews laud their prompt service. I have called on many many different times, close to 20 times in the past two months. They put me on hold for ever and ever. I was never able to get through. I am really sorry to see them drop their service like this.

I SURE HOPE THE MANAGEMENT TURNS AROUND! I decided to go else where.

Bought an AVEDA gift card through Raise.com and tried to use it at an aveda spa. The card did not register any funds even though when I first received it in the mail and checked the balance on the phone, the automated service told me it did have the full balance I paid for.

The manager and several employees of the spa got involved over several days to help me and get my card to work. Turns out the Corporate office identified the card as COUNTERFEIT and unloaded the balance! They said the "customer was informed". Well no one told me. So was there another customer? Perhaps the one who sold it or maybe being counterfeit, there were multiple card sold? Whoever is counterfeiting these cards is very crafty. That is why I'm posting this. To help warn others.

Anyways tried to contact Raise and had to leave a message on their site since no one was available. EVEN if they do refund me... there is no way it can make up for the embarrassment, hassle and awkward situation this put me in. Now I have to wonder what the employees are thinking in the back of their heads every time they see me at the salon/spa. How awful!

Update: 4/28/16
Was able to resolve with Raise customer service. They requested I mail back the card with a pre-paid shipping label I had to print out and tape to the envelope. It took almost 2 weeks to get an answer from them and they finally said they will refund me the discounted amount I paid for the card. Not sure how long that will take, probably another 2 weeks. So assuming the refund will go through. I'll add a star.

Every time I go back to that salon, I apologize for the card fiasco... knowing how much the employees there went out of their way to try and help me... only to find out it was a counterfeit card. By the way... the employees at the New Beginnings Aveda Spa are fantastic!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. I purchased Famous Dave's egift and then I went to Famous Dave's in San Jose California and the manager told me that the egift has ZERO BALANCE!. I send them a message right away and no response. I called them alot of times and the hold is hrs, sometimes more than and 1 hour, And today I called them again ang the hold is almost an hour and line cutoff and someone hangup on me. I want to save money that's why I purchased in this company but at he end I will cause more and headache. I don't really write a reviews but since this company scammed me. I just want to let the people now my experienced and not to happen to anyone.
