Kaali helped me resolve the issue with her proactive approach of reaching out to seller immediately instead of passing the issue on to the support team.
I boutht bloomingdeals gift card with 1000 dollars, 100days later, all of them gone! They said they can't make sure give me refund. This company earn maney by this way.
I have spent over $ 1,200.00 in 5 weeks on gift cards on this site. On my first order I ordered a Marshalls gift card that never came. I called 3 weeks after the order was placed and they stated that I would have to wait 30 days after the order was placed. So yet again I called and was informed that since I used a $10 promo I would get less back then what I paid. But wait a second it's not my fault I didn't get the card and I spent $400 on that order... I should have been able to utilize the the $10 promo regardless. This was a nuisance to have to call twice, a nuisance that I didn't get the card, and now I am being jipped. I don't care that it was only a few bucks (not to mention the actual gift card) the fact remains that if I didn't remember that this card didn't come I would have been out of $50. No matter if it was a few bucks or 300, its my money. I have raved about this site, but no more. I will not use this site again and I will tell my coworkers and family to forget about it because I didn't receive my gift card and didn't get my full refund and the customer service agent couldn't do anything but off me a five buck promo code on my next order. Thanks but no thanks I wanted what was rightfully mine not a ploy to spend more money on this website.
I had a question about a restaurant gift card that I was unable to use. I was disappointed because I only went to the restaurant because of the gift card. The waitress said it had been listed as lost and we couldn't use it. I contacted Raise following the visit and explained I bought a gift card that was void. I was told I missed the 100 day guarantee by three days. I said there was a disconnect between "never expires," which my order said and the guarantee. The first response explained I was out of the guarantee window but they would further review the situation. I was later sent a note that I would receive a refund (I bought a $50 gift certificate for a few bucks off). Had I not received a refund, I would not use the site again because a loss of $46 or $47 bucks would be a total waste as the whole idea is to save a few bucks here and there. My question of what does "not expire" mean was not answered until I sent another note asking for an explanation. So, would have expected a response without having to inquire again but ultumately got one. A strong note of caution, don't buy a gift card - even when it says it does not expire - unless you are going to use it within the 100 day guarantee window.
At first I was really excited about Raise, but lately it's been very frustrating. Already, a month in, I've purchased 2 cards that didn't have the balance promised. The first one was a restaurant gift card. It was embarrassing to go to the cashier, try to pay only to hear the balance wasn't what I thought. Not a huge deal... It took a week to get it resolved, but they did refund me the price paid (not the card value). The one that was really painful for me was the birthday present I bought my wife. I got her a decent sized gift card to Pier 1 to purchase something she was really excited about. She was super happy, and I was feeling sky-high. Well... that died when I got a text from her saying that the balance on the card I got her was $0. I reached back out to Raise and they refunded the price paid, however, I'm not getting the 30% discount anymore, so this "gift" has backfired on me. Now I have to buy the item my wife wants, only I have to pay 30% more than I had budgeted for it.
Very disappointed that this keeps happening. So far about 1/3 of the stores I've bought cards for haven't paned out, and I'm fearful about the remaining unused cards as if you don't find out they have a $0 balance within the 90 day window you're out completely - makes me wonder if they are getting scammed by some folks selling cards and keeping the #'s. Sure they don't get paid for the 90 days, but if the card goes unused then the scammers make out good... Be careful if you use the site & make sure you try to use the card within the safety window.
COMPLETE SCAM -- bought a $165 gift card and Bloomingdales says it's not valid and put me in fraud investigation. I contacted Raise.com and am still waiting for a refund.
DON'T BUY FROM RAISE!
I will not purchase from raise again and I would caution anyone that wants to do business with them.
I have been a customer of raise for over 3yrs with a purchase total of over 9000. 00.
I made a purchase of 4 cards this month to purchase a product that was on sale and the sale ended that night.
When they (raise) emailed me the cards, 2 cards did not work. Thinking that the cards were bad I purchased two more cards and bought the product from cabelas that was on sale.
The next day I called raise and told them what had happened. They stated that although they had sent me a card with 10 digit and cabelas only accepts a 9 digit gift card that I should have only input 9 digits.
They are refusing to refund me for the cards that did not work. I am currently disputing the charges through discover card.
THEY HAVE LOST A LOYAL CUSTOMER AND I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN
I ordered for Chipotle gift card more than a month back, but still i haven't received my card and i haven't received my money back,

Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
