I bought a $50 Starbucks e-card for $41. When it arrived in my account I tried to transfer the balance to my gold card and it was not a good card. They then gave me another $50 gift card and this time I kept the rep on the phone while I tried to transfer it again. Again, this card was declined saying it was registered to someone else. They are giving me refund. The also gave me a $5.00 promo code for being a first (and now last) time customer. I am not buying anymore from this company. I am just glad I didn't give it as gift.
Had a problem with my gift card and half expected to have to jump through hoops to get it resolved. Not the case AT ALL. Naevia was extraordinarily helpful, polite and quick to get that resolved for me. Thank you so much!
I love raise.com and always have a great experience when buying gift cards from them. I knew I needed garden supplies so I bought a gift card for home depot and ended up getting 15% off before any coupons! I highly recommend them!
Raise.com sells gift cards at varying discounts. The concept is great, I agree. But when the stated value of your gift cards is not as anticipated! Then, Raise.com will give you a song and a dance, while they deny you a refund. SCAM
What outstanding customer service from this individual. He took the ball on following up on a missing cards situation and he never dropped it! Consistent communication until I had confirmed receipt of the purchased cards.
This was a fine example of what customer service consistently should be.
Thanks.
I am a regular customer of Raise. I have saved money with them. They have a strong guarantee compared to other gift card resellers. I had one issue where a Panera card had a zero balance and this was taken care of promptly and courteously by their staff.
I purchased a $100 Whataburger gift card to test the waters. When I called the number on the back of the card, the automated system confirmed the $100 balance. We used it once for $24. The remaining balance was accurate. I ordered 3 more cards as gifts. Upon arrival, all the balances were $100. The following day, ALL cards had zero balance including the very first card used. I contacted customer service and "they would look into it only if I did NOT call my credit card company to dispute the charge". I have yet to hear from Raise.com even after I contacted them again. My credit card company will take care of the charges. It is very clear that Raise is a scam. Save yourself time, energy and your hard earned money and stay away from these scam artists.
I have been a Raise customer for many years (even before it was named Raise). I have purchased many. Many gift cards and have spent thousands of dollars. I cannot say how much I have saved on things I would have purchased anyway but it has been a lot! The cards arrive quickly and of course the e-cards are virtually instant. Over the years I have had a fair number of cards go bad. Raise has ALWAYS honored its warranty and done so in a timely fashion. Its old warranty of 100 days was one of the best. Now with offering a year warranty it is hard to imagine that there is any risk at all. If you like to get a discount on dining out and store purchases and like gift cards this is really good. Also as a side note, using gift cards reduces the risk that your credit card will be compromised since you are not using it as often.
I've had a couple of problems with the cards I've purchased on Raise, but each time they were dealt with quickly and professionally. It's what keeps me coming back to Raise and buying with them with confidence.
I sold a gift card from crate and barrel and since I don't have a credit card that is not linked to my bank account they won't give me my money. Explain why I can't use a credit card from my bank? I've used this site before with no problems. I sent them a picture of my drivers license... Still won't pay me. Basically they stole from me
Incredibly pleased with the customer service. I had mistakenly chosen the wrong withdrawal method, and I emailed to get it corrected. I was contacted right away and very professionally by Kayla in Raise Member Services. She seamlessly helped me in my effort to correct it.
Raise has saved me so much money at Starbucks, and they make it so very easy! You just purchase a card online for up to 20% off, you get the card number instantaneously emailed, you add it to your Starbucks app and transfer the balance to your primary card, and voila! You've got an addition to your card for 10-20% off. I love it! I never would buy a regular gift card anymore having discovered Raise.
I received the proper information on which numbers to use as promo code on a egift card.
Your customer service person was very knowledgeable and stayed with me until I made the transaction on the ebay order site.
First time purchaser on Raise.com. After having to call in to validate my identity (this was a pleasant surprise they use this method as a check against ID theft), was issued my Google Play e-gift code. Problem occurred when trying to Redeem the code, Google Play store said the code was "Invalid Code". Called back into Raise.com support, waited in the queue about 30 minutes, but Peggy was able to assist me. She just required a screenshot of the error message in Google Play to valid the invalid code issue. She then was able to issue me a new Google Play code. I was able to verify the new code worked, and I appreciated the fact that she was patient and courteous during the entire support call. Hope this is indicative of the kind of customer support that can be expected from all Raise.com support personnel.
Over the years I have bought gift cards from Raise. Most of the times they work OK but numerous times they have stopped working. I have been able to get refund. The key is the 90 days guarantee for refund. People who want to buy gift cards from raise should only buy them if they are ready to use them and not buy them for later use. You loose out the money while trying to save some bucks.
You are playing with fire by buying gift card through them. First transaction was fine, I used gift card immediately. The second gift card I bought was already used, I did get my money back though. Figured I would give them one more chance and bought 2 gift cards, waited a few weeks to use them and went to buy something from a website and it says they are already used! Just sent and email and I better get my money back. Never again. A lot of people who sell gift cards to them are crooks and unethical.
I use www.raise.com very frequently. Love the inventory of gift cards available at discounted prices, an amazing user experience on both, raise website and iphone app, and on the top of that an exemplary customer service.
I purchased few Macys gift cards from raise.com and ran into issues. Called Macys' customer service who was unwilling to let me check the balance on the cards or to use the cards.
Reached out to Dahlia, a customer service representative from Raise.com. She went extra mile in helping me with my Macys gift card issues. She validated each of Macys cards and gladly refunded amount where there were issues.
Thank you. Appreciate your help.
I made a mistake in my order and purchased a physical card instead of an electronic one, the support stuff went all the way to contact the seller and helped me resolve the issue. I am very please with the excellent support I got today.
I recently had a problem with a Famous Dave's e-Giftcard I purchased from Raise. Since it was one of the first times I purchased an e-Gift card I was a little concerned when the waiter said it didn't work. I sent an e-mail to Raise customer support and had a response in less than 12 hours. In less than 24 hours I was promised a refund that appeared on my credit card account a short time later.
Super customer support in all ways. They've made me a loyal customer.
The customer service at Raise was amazing. The phone was answered almost right away and my rep knew just how to handle the problem. I was on and off the phone with my problem handled in under 10 minutes! In addition, they sent me a code to use next time just because I had a problem! I will definitely order again!
Answer: I had a problem with the lowes gift cards i purchased from Raise as they did not work at lowes. It took upwards of 10 calls and over 3 months before I received my over $700 back. I will never buy anything on Raise again
Answer: People should unite and file a class action lawsuit against these guys, any attorneys reading this?
Answer: You check the balance on the business' website. For instance, if you have a McDonald's gift card, go to McDonald's website to check the card balance.
Answer: The usual issue is that someone will buy a gift card with a stolen credit card and then sell it to Raise (or others) for cash. Usually within 100 days the gift card issuer will find out when they have been charged back for the stolen card purchase, at which point they invalidate the card and zero the balance. Raise.com will refund you the unused balance on the card prior to it being zeroed out, but only within 60 days of your order. Their short protection policy limits their exposure if a high value card is invalidated and you come looking for a refund three months after you bought it. Every gift card reseller has a different policy for refunds. Some are as short as a few weeks, others last 100 days or more. Raise.com's 60 day policy is shorter than many of their competitors, which is why I don't use them much anymore. The lessons I have learned is only order cards you will use entirely within the next month, never gift them to others, and keep a spreadsheet if you order a lot of cards so you can keep track of balances. In all, I've had about 3% of the 200 cards I've ordered suddenly zeroed out. The majority were for improbably large amounts, which is why I now try and order lower value cards. One site suddenly listed 10 $100 gift cards for Jimmy Johns, a sub shop. One has to wonder who would order gift cards like this in the first place, only to put up for resale. It turned out the original buyer used a stolen credit card to buy them all and turned the proceeds into cash. The cards were all zeroed out. I have learned to be suspicious when a large number of high $ value cards in the same amount suddenly go up for sale. So while it may make sense to buy a $100 gift card for Sears, it usually isn't to buy a $100 gift card for Dunkin Donuts.
