I have just used the services of Smiths Property Care, Warrington and I am so glad that I found this company! Mr Smith provided me with an extremely competitive quote, was timely, professional and most importantly has done an excellent job. His attention to detail is impressive and even corrected imperfections done by a very well known company from years earlier!

I can not recommend Smiths Property Care enough - they will undoubtedly be my "go to" company for any services I need for my property. Excellent job!

Contractors recommended by these guys are awful, Quotatis don't really care. Contractor threatened me and my wife, and claimed his work has no guarantees. Left me of out pocket, definitely avoid. Quotatis response is quite useless, their website doesn't take reviews or complaints. Using a anyone from here is like using a random that knocks on your door, once you've parted with your money good luck getting hold of anyone.

Read the small print and you will see they accept zero liability for traders they put your way. They put me in touch with a well documented rogue trader who ruined my garage roof, ruined my car and stole £200 from me. All in all I am out of pocket £2000. When I followed complaint process the best they could offer me was ' talk to trading standards', wow thanks guys that never occurred to me! Worst of all after researching this particular con artist I noticed other people had also been stung by him in this site! They clearly do not vet their traders in anyway shape or form

I only wish I'd done my research on Quotatis as well as the tradesman. Referred to what appeared to be a nice guy but turned out to be a total cowboy. Ruined my roof, damaged guttering and got paint everywhere except where it should have been. Followed complaint process and got the legal "we accept no responsibility" jargon. There is no vetting process for the traders, they don't care as long as they get their 30 pieces of silver from the job. I sent an enquiry for a small domestic job. I got lots of emails saying they were still looking for someone in my area to perform the job and with each mail the job description kept changing until it had nothing to do with what I was actually looking for. I also got called by an automatic calling service asking me to call them back, which I did not.

In the end I found a reputable local company that did the required work.

But I'm still receiving these emails, their is no way I can see of stopping them sending me emails apart from creating a filter in Gmail that automatically deletes these nuisance emails.

Contacted quotatis to recommend installers for a satellite dish in central Edinburgh. All I got for a week was emails telling me that they were finding people to contact me. Gave up today (8 days later) and rang a few installers myself. Took 10 minutes to get three quotes, and my dish is being installed tomorrow.

Don't bother (as a consumer) with these people.

After reading about Quotatis on their website it seemed the ideal way to find a professional quality tree specialist. They say they regularly check quality of tradesmen's work and as part of due diligence on my part that meant a lot. They gave me three named tradesmen who would quote. In fact more than that called me, and had different names. The work agreed was to remove a dead tree. Day one, the guy arrived and left two guys who didn't speak English with no tools. Eventually I had to give them a lift to the station to get home. Day two, the tree was cut but (I found the next day) most of it dumped in a public wood behind my garden. Day three and I get calls saying that these "workmen" have not been paid and threatening to come and dump stuff on my drive if I don't pay more as they haven't been paid by the main guy. I called Police and haven't answered the phone to anyone since. I wish I had never looked at Quotatis.

This platform may be useful for clients but more often they are just doing marketing instead wanting a real job done but you have to pay them for false clients and false offers and no feedback at all. Absolutely useless and really down service.

Brilliant job done... i had a really big tree that needed to be cut back, Acorn arrived gave me a quote which was fair and started there and then they were all done in about 2 hours, minimal damage to the shrubbery around the garden the lads working on the tree were very polite and they done exactly what we wanted. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again..

Two people contacted me regarding the polling of a large willow tree. Mark from Anglian Tree Services contacted me almost immediately and came to carry out a survey. We agreed a price and a date for the work to be done. His tree surgeon had the tree polled in about 4 hours and then Mark and two others cleared up the site and took away all the rubbish. My garden was left tidy and great care had been taken not to damage any plants, structures or ornaments. Highly recommend Mark and his crew from Anglian Tree Services.

A good platform, however, like many of the others it is very much on the side of builders. It's good to get a selection of contractors, but you will find that even poor ones are listed here. The business model seems to be get them to subscribe, so they are quotatis customers, so if you leave bad reviews it effects their rating which means they are less likely to pay a subscription. This means they favour good reviews, so you have to be very careful.

I had a ghastly experience and was surprised at how hard it was to do a review.It felt like lip service, they were not that interested in what I'd been through. I'm not impressed. I rely on reviews to make a decision about how to spend my hard earned money, I leave reviews when I'm v impressed or when I've been very let down. I think this company vets reviews and gets in the way of free and frank reviews - so it's very unreliable.

Quotatis as they announce on their website will send a vetted and professional company to your doorstep to carry out your work project. Yes and pigs will fly.
Avoid this company and their agents at all cost, they will rip you off, cause extensive additional damage to your house then disappear into the night with your money. It's a SCAM you have been warned. Best to get family and friends to recommend a locally based tradesman or company with a proven track record, don't do anything in haste. Evaluate options with a trusted friend or family member, do not pay any money up front. Get second and third opinions and local local local quotes.
