If you think you have a year warranty, you're WRONG. This company does everything in their power to make sure you will not get your money back. My phone cracked and I was told all I needed was a code that is on the back of the package to get my warranty. This was false as the company began asking me for a receipt for "proof or purchase" like I don't have the package I BOUGHT right in front of me. Ridiculous. Save yourself the money and do not spend a dime on any of these products.
I wish I had gone to this site first. I have a new Samsung S10 and took what the Verizon dealer gave me for screen protection. When I went to register with Pure Gear, (which should have be completed at POS) to get the super-duper warranty I was asked for all kinds of information and photos/scans of receipts, the box, etc. Again, why can't this be done by the vendor. They already have all of the info. Also, why does a screen protector need to know info like how much memory does my phone have? Could it be they want to sell the info? I am a retired exec with experience at three tech start ups. I found that a company's business practices model (how easy is it to do business with) is as important as its tech. This company is doomed.
If I could give this company a negative star I would. I bought my screen protector and a week or so later tried to register my warranty. First of all it takes a good 30 minutes to research what they want and to get it all loaded. After loading and trying to add it all went away which meant I had to try again, opps same results. Do you think I could get anyone on the phone-that's a joke. After a few months my phone dropped less than 1 foot and cracked, then again less than 6" and cracked what a piece of crap with NO WARRANTY. I won't be replacing my screen protector with this product, sure which I'd seen these reviews prior to buying. BOO Verizon for carrying this crap.
What's the point pay for something that dont work and there willing to give u 100 dollars for a screen that cost 300 dont waste your time dropped my note 9 screen broke easily and all the bs for 100 bucks note worth it dont buy this product
Glass broke within hours of leaving Verizon store. Verizon said 'Sorry. Contact PureGear' Sent my $10 in for replacement. They send me the $40 product when my warranty was on the $60 one. Sent them a complaint, asking for my $20 or the right protector. Weeks later I get a message saying they were sorry... replacement was in the mail. I've never seen it.
I've now had two screen savers. First one lasted a year, second one got a big nick and a scratch in two months. My previous one (different brand) lasted about five years. The "registration" for the warranty is a crock and next to impossible to do correctly. Bye, Bye, Pure-Gear!
I purchased the HD screen protector and the first one chipped in about two weeks. I did have It registered and got a replacement In about ten days, but shipping was 11.00 dollars. I put the new one on and it chipped in 4 days. I have not dropped the phone or abused it in any way. This is a waste of money!
I forgot I had purchased the screen protector for my Samsung Note 8 2 years ago and gave up after many attempts. I just purchased a tablet from Verizon and the my memory was just bolted. It's impossible to register the product. This is a scam! We need to go after Verizon!
... it's because I'm completely unhappy with something. OK that's not true - I actually write them when I'm super-happy too. But in this case, Pure-gear has really disappointed.
I bought two Steel 360 protectors for my LG V30 phone and my son's. Within 2 days, mine cracked without having been dropped. OK - maybe it's a bad piece; that happens. And, to PureGear's credit, I got this one replaced at no charge.
But then mine cracked again after a short (2 foot) fall onto a wood floor. Hm. OK - it was a fall, but geez - how tough is this "steel" protector? Well, time to pay the $10 penalty.
Last week my son showed me his cracked protector. "Any falls/drops?" I asked him? "Nope!" came the expected reply.
So I will now have paid $20 more than the original cost for these and it has only been 5 months. This doesn't bode well. If we get a fourth break, I'm going to have to return to Zagg, which seems to have been protecting my daughter's phone very nicely for years.
Purchased phone and HD glass screen protector Oct. 2019. Screen began cracking in February. Finally so bad I submitted a warranty claim on 5/1/2020. No word from PureGear. Sent an inquiry as to status on 6/3/2020. Still no word. They have my $11 shipping fee and have never sent a replacement screen.
Update: An update to my original review. I eventually heard from PureGear and they did send a replacement screen. Prior to receiving the replacement, Verizon put a new screen protector on my phone, a Samsung S10+. It cracked within a few weeks. When the warranty replacement arrived, Verizon installed that one for me. It cracked within a month. So my original rating of 1 star stands. Customer service eventually came thru but the product does not hold up on my model of phone.
My first cover fell off after 5 days when I took my phone out of my pocket and cracked. Had to pay the shipping, not pleased about that new one is on 2 days and falls off into my lap when I picked it up off the table. F you pure fear. Your product is absolute garbage. I just superglued the crap to my otter box and I just lodged a complaint with Verizon for carrying your inferiorly poor quality products in their stores. Maybe if we all complain to the stores they won't carry this junk anymore.
I bought 4 Pure Gear HD Tempered Glass from the Bell store when purchasing four new phones. All four cracked in 4 -5 months. I contacted Pure Gear customer service who said it would $9.95 shipping cost for each. I went and replaced mine at Itech (Yorkdale & Fairview who replace on the spot). I replied asking to put three in the same envelope and charge for one shipping $9.95, they refused so everyone needs to know.
Buyer beware of them being inflexible.
I filled out a warranty claim form over 2 weeks ago, and still haven't gotten my replacement. They didn't hesitate to take the money out of my account right away though. I went on their website to see if I could find a customer service number, and there isn't one! The only options they give you is to send them a message or an email. Well they are both pointless, because they won't respond to either one. I agree with some of the other reviewers, that I should have came on this page first. I will never order from them again! It's a huge ripoff. The products are kind of pricey, and they guarantee at least a one year warranty on them, but it seems impossible to get in contact with anyone to get your replacement. It's also rediculous that you have to pay the $10 shipping fee. I hope this company goes down the drain.
This company should be banned. They sell junk and create a warranty registration that cannot be completed to get the warranty in place.
Obviously no integrity at all. Then try to contact them on the telephone Bahahahahah
If you buy anything from PureGear after reading these comments, shame on you
The name of this outfit should be PureCRAP. They are simply pathetic on all counts. The products are junk, the website is an exercise in frustration, and the customer service is the worst that I have ever experienced in my life. Never again will I deal with these guys, and neither will anyone that I talk to about my experience.
I bought their phone cover 3 months ago and it jus cracked from the side. I was told by someone that it comes with the warranty and you can return the defected item and get new one when i went on the website i saw that theres charging $15 for handling and shipping charges like seriously! You can get a new cover for like $20 and for a claim they are charging this much amound. How pathetic! Never ever buy from this company!
I purchased Pure Gear's screen cover through Verizon 4 years ago. I was able to get 1 replacement glass cover for my phone and then they canceled the "unlimited replacement" policy that they had. When I got my most recent phone I was told I could purchase the screen cover and a replacement would be $10. I went into Verizon a few months ago and they had to order it online since they did not have any in store (my phone is too old apparently). My order went through, money was taken, a month went by and NO REPLACEMENT came. I was then sent an email stating they could not replace it. After asking for a refund for the $40 original product I purchased with the instructions of a $10 replacement I have heard nothing. Worst service ever.
Complete scam of a company. Don't waste your money.
The company states they have a pure pledge guarantee on their products but when you try to collect they don't honor the warranty. My phone screen cracked with their protector on it. I had it repaired and they required me to submit pics of before snd after sling with a receipt then denied it saying that the guarantee didn't cover the screen. So what's the point of the guarantee.
Bought screen saver at At&T. Cracked after a few months. Went online and filled out form for replacement. My credit card was charged and now it's been 2 months and i still haven't received. Called company several times and left messages no response. Emailed several times no response.
I returned mine after giving it about to a week. The fingerprint sensor was very temperamental... Sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. I thought maybe it was worth it in exchange for having such a sturdy protector and a lifetime warranty. Well after a week dust started to gather under the glass and I happened to come upon horrible reviews on their warranty. According to the BBB they have had 340 complaints in the last 3 years, 241 of which are warranty related.
Answer: No product received no way to connect them. PAId FOR SHIPPING ALSO
Answer: SCREEN PROTECTOR CRACKED. THEY IGNORE ME, I CANNOT GET REPLACED. TRYING FOR OVER 6 MONTHS. WARRANTY EXPIRES FEB. 2020. I WILL NEVER BUY PRODUCTS FROM PUREGEAR.
Answer: It won't be. I hope you didn't pay the shipping fee because you won't see that either. Consider forgetting about it or possibly editing your review to reflect your current situation with their customer service. Consider also putting pressure on the place where you bought it to stop supporting an expensive product that doesn't do what it's being used for.
Answer: PureGear does not honor defect products and ignores submitted warranties. NO REPLACEMENT, ON RESPONSE. PureGear does not answer telephone number 1-877-570-4327 AFTER HUNDREDS OF PHONE CALLS. RINGS ONCE AND HANGS UP. ANYONE SELLING THEIR PRODUCTS IS IN COLLUSION WITH PUREGEAR.
