I buy the Publix brand 10lb bag of standard dry cat chow. It is cheaper than all of the brand names and the cats like it. It's a mix of meat and fish products with all of the recommended macro levels. I have five cats so I go through this stuff a lot. My cats have no health problems. I have been using this for six years ever since my oldest cats were kittens. I haven't fed them anything else besides table scraps so I guess Publix cat food is good enough for my cats.
Same old story, said it before. Live on Harbour Island, Publix Bayshore is the only food store close. Filthy (literally) Deli Dept. (look at the slicers, and on the floor), Managers walking around talking and doing nothing, soups are empty, Deli has a "ticket" dispenser and the "now serving" doodad is never used.
The managers wait (if they're not outside having a smoke) until there are customers 6 deep before they open another two registers.
Katy is very knowledgeable, courteous, and fast to help clients at the deli from store 0542. She is always with a smile and ready to serve. I love to get subs when she is there. Excellent customer service and asset to Publix.
Avoid the deli! Avoid the deli! Incompetence, poor management makes this department the worst I have ever experienced. The old saying is three is the charm, not here, maybe 4!
I ordered a sandwich at 7:30 PM and my pick up was for 8:05 AM. When I arrived, my sandwich that was made to my liking wasn't ready or even started. The blond manager apologized and offered me a ready made, I was so insulted, really? This is just not how you make a disappointed customer happy. Ready made? Publix, get that job posting done ASAP! This was the same manager that told me to order online for faster service. 3 of 4 times I ordered, my order was 15 minutes late or done incorrectly or not done at all.
The deli competence is so sad, and I feel bad about how incompetent they really are. The problem is all about poor leadership.
Sorry Cornerstone, you need people who are consistent and get it right the first time. Deli is snail slow!
I have been buying the Publix rotisserie chicken for years but over the last year they have been selling some type of shrunken dry chicken the size of the palm of a hand. Publix has really going down in customer service and value and shopping is definitely anything but a pleasure.
For the prices Publix charge they should have a higher class of services and specialty items. Their fresh meat department is a big disappointment; they should have a real meat department where you can purchase the exact amount of meat you need; not just pre-packaged choices. Their deli lacks in variety and their BOGOs are now buy 2 get 1. I compared a pound of turkey lunch meat this week at Publix for $9.09 and the other two grocery stores in the area selling the same product for $4.79 and 5.29. This is not a bit overpriced; this is extremely overpriced. Unfortunately, they have no competition beachside and very little competition in Volusia County. It's worth going out of my way to shop elsewhere with a savings of over 30% at their competitors stores.
I went to the Publix on Gulf To Bay in Clearwater and waited at the deli while 3 employees passed me looked at me then looked away. 1 was a female manager. I worked all day and standing there waiting to get help to order lunch meat is crazy. They could acknowledge me and say 1 moment but they don't. Wenhave had this issue before and have complained to the manager before and nothing has changed. We will not be going back there and will tell others of the crappy service. Step it up Publixs lots of competition out there so don't get cocky.
As an update to my previous less than stellar review, I want to say that as a rule, Publix excels where customer is concerned. One of the pharmacy personnel was less than helpful in getting my much needed prescription filled, on more than one occasion, but other than this unfavorable experience I have found that they make every effort, in every area, to be helpful, kind and appreciative. I can get many products at Publix that aren't available elsewhere. Some products are higher priced than other outlets but as is often true you get what you pay for.
Placed a online order for the deli in Palmetto, waited 20 minutes after it was due, asked about my order they said they found it but couldn't make it because they had no chicken tenders. Really, you couldn't notify me to let me know it will be late. Spoke to the manager they were pretty much like oh well. So I walked out with out my food. This is unacceptable.
I tried to fill my prescriptions at TWO Publix pharmacies within a 5-mile radius of where I live. The pharmacy on Melliluca and Military looked at my script and said no, as they chuckled & did not check to see if the medication was in stock. The second on 95 & Lantana said no, Publix doesn't choose to carry this medication & the other script, they were not accepting new patients for this drug. Hmmm, it would have been really upsetting if they decided not to allow myself & the rest of my family to buy groceries because they didn't have our items available. I will never shop at Publix again.
Every year we start buying gift cards early for Christmas presents. But now Publixs new rule is 1 Amazon or 2 other store gift cards allowed. Yet when I go to Winn Dixie or target's there is no problem. More amazing is my wife worked for Publixs for years and is well known at this store. I guess Publixs will lose all this business for we have warn many others who buys now from other stores.

Donna was absolutely delightful to work with from the beginning to the end. I had a million questions she assisted me with. She personally delivered my catering order in the rain and did it with a smile. She went above and beyond!
Throwing away a perfectly good plant with a dead flower is laziness. A employee wants to agree with a customer, I offer to buy the plants at a discounted rate but it's easier and quicker to throw it away is horrible customer service!
I purchased an ebay gift card since I ended not using it I went to publix supermarket in westchase on linebaugh with the receipt and untouched or used gift card to return it the store manager told me that they do not accept returns on gift cards they sell sounds like a scam
All I needed was a Happy Birthday wrote on a birthday cake already made. They spent more time telling me why she couldn't and I should go to another store. Then 5 min or less writing happy Birthday, both Doug baker blv and chlesea al store.
I was waiting in line for over ten minutes with several others and while one employee stood there doing nothing, the other one was taking care of customers. I asked to speak with a manager. The managers name is Kevin at the corner of Publix on John Young and Conroy. I asked if they usually leave people waiting for so long, and if they were able to help with other customers. His response was, no. I was very disappointed with the poor customer care. The manager did nothing to help. I have shopped at this location for several years. I was very disappointed with the managers response. I felt that he could have made some effort to help other customers, instead he was very dismissive, and made no effort to help other customers to help speed up the line.
The cashier I had at Publix on 54th ave and park street is very rude never smiles and if she's not happy with her job then maybe she should find a different job her name is Linda. My son was paying for his groceries and trying to get his money out of his wallet and she's says to him I do have a line of people which I thought was very rude.
I shopped at Publix for 20 years. Recently because they refused to substitute an equal item for an advertised sale item they were out of so I thought I would have my order delivered by instacart from Aldis. First I noticed the quality of the produce was better at Aldis. I printed out the list of my order with prices and went to Publics website and wrote down the prices of the same items on the paper. When I compared the total prices I found that Aldis was 45% cheaper on the total. I save between $50 and $75 dollars a week shopping at Aldis.
I was sorry when Publix discontinued praline muffins but I lived with it. Unfortunately, the muffins now offered by Publix are extremely small and as of my last purchase, inedible. Next time you are in Walmart or Aldi, take a look at what is offered. Both Walmart and Aldi apparently use the same muffin supplier. Just take a look at the product, especially the blueberry flavor, and compare them with the ones offered by Publix. Of course, Costco's are much larger and a still better price but Costco's are so huge that I eat only a half each morning.
Publix was a major player in Florida's COVID-19 vaccinations. But now the grocery chain says it will not vaccinate children under 5 along with the highest prices on all their products compared to the competition.
