After 500 hotel stays. Last night another booking. To arrive at 11pm found the econo lodge they used in their Express with no cancellations which is great as we were tired from a 10 hr drive. To find the hotel closed at 1030. I called Priceline immediately to be screwed around for 2 hours to tell me to drive another 1.5 hours to a biggar city. I had 3 of the most pathetic people on the phone.
To tell me that after they z accepted my money and to have them say
It's your problem.
Guess what no it's yours
I book for alot of friends and family
And no more Priceline you guys showed your customer is nothing
After 500 plus this is what we get as customers. Good thing there is others that respect and help when they drop the ball as Priceline did not
Final words hire people that care and know my time zone. Make America great again
Why do you include Green Motion in your stable of rental car agencies? Arrived with reservation in hand only to be told they had overbooked and had no rental cars. Now I'm waiting in line at Alamo hoping they have cars available at 1:00 in the morning. Informed that I will be refunded "eventually." What does that mean? Recommend you cease business relationship with them immediately!
Don't fall into the "package trap" with Priceline. I purchased this for my husband: one airline ticket, 1 day car rental and 1 night hotel room only to find out, the ticket was the only item included in the new, package price. I had so much fun chatting with one of their agent bots online. Wasted an hour trying to resolve. I have included a photo of how they misrepresented themselves. Misleading? I'd say flat out "FRAUD". Use any other company but priceline.
I purchased an Express Hotel Deal for July 4 and the rate was $93. That same Express Hotel Deal for the same date is now $72. I've spoken to customer service and I fell the explanation I'm getting is ludicrous and according to BBB other consumers agree.
Best Price Guarantee states that if you book an Express Deal and you find the same itinerary at a lower price, you get 200% of the difference back. "Price must be in the same currency, using the same form of payment and from the same point of sale as your original reservation when you call us. The lower price must be an exact match to the itinerary booked on priceline.com, including offering of a comparable cancellation policy. Additional restrictions apply*."
"How to Match: Hotels: same hotel, check-in and check-out dates, number of rooms, room type including bedding and view selection". According to customer service, the rate guarantee does not apply to Express Deals yet that contradicts Pricelines advertising. If you book an Express Deal and find that same Express Deal for a lower price, why would the Best Price Guarantee be honored.
When booking an Express Deal, there is no way for the consumer to "MATCH" all the specifics mentioned above which I believe makes the Best Price Guarantee false advertising. Express Deals with the same booking dates, same Express Deal location but with a lower price should be honored. With an Express Deal you cannot guarantee the hotel and room type, seems like Priceline is trying to backpedal on the policy by it not being 100% clear.
I purchase an airline ticket to Europe using Air Europa airlines, price line sent the itinerary and never mention anything about luggage, read the entire itinerary and clicked on the only place they have for luggage information and found like most of international flights the first luggage is free the second is $68. Got a bad surprise at the airline counter when they inform me that I have to pay $120.00 for the luggage now and 120 euros at return, that the ticket price line booked for me did not included luggage. Called price line and they said "oh sorry in the website is general information. So how I should know at the time I'm buying the tickets that is going to cost me more than $240.00?
Price line lower price is catch and should not be allowed, they should say does not include luggage
Booked a room that stated "cancellation until 7/2" but apparently that just gave me an option to cancel WITH a fee. Very deceptive bait and switch practices. Make sure you read all the fine, fine, print where they hide all the stuff they don't want you to know about but will gladly put "cancellation until 7/2" in big bold letters on the top of the 1st page. And don't think you can sweet talk your way into getting help from customer service. I guarantee everyone you speak to will not do anything or give a damn about it. Priceline is a sinking ship with unethical and illegal business practices! Maybe if enough people complain, something can be done about it.
They show you a low price then you click to get room and price increases and I tried to get a room that said available and no rooms anywhere was available
Priceline's customer service was absolutely disgraceful. They are robots that do not bend or help at all. They regurgitate what they have written, not taking circumstances into account. We are not real people to them, just money. I am shocked as I have never had a problem, but as of lately I have noticed more sneaky and underhanded "deals". I recently wanted to stay in DOWNTOWN Detroit. I booked an express deal, and got a hotel in the NORTH END. It was a complete lie. Check any other site and they list this hotel in the NORTH END, as it is. Priceline refused to believe this and would not cancel the order because it was listed in the wrong area. They know completely well that this hotel is located in an undesirable area. 100%. They are being so shady listing this hotel in the downtown area. They know they would never make money off of it if they were to list it truly. They get their customers to waste their money. I had to book a different hotel through a competitor (OF WHICH THERE ARE MANY). Priceline, we don't need you, YOU NEED US! Watch how you're treating your customers. You just lost many.
I booked 2 nights in a hotel, about 6 weeks in advance of travel. Normally you pay for a hotel after you stay, so immediately I thought it was odd they were charging my credit card up front. Two weeks later I had to cancel my plays (still about one month in advance of my original plans). They would gladly allow me to cancel, but refused to refund my money and suggested I call the hotel. When I did, the hotel said they can't refund to me, because I booked through Priceline, so any refund would go to them. Catch-22! When I looked in the fine print of my original booking I did see they offered, for a $15 fee at the time of booking, travel insurance to allow for cancelation later. So if you want the privilege of getting your money back for travel you didn't take, you have to pay up front. Otherwise they keep $355 for a stay you never made and told them 30-days in advance that you wouldn't make. Priceline, I will never use your service again and I will tell everyone who will listen to avoid your company like the plague. Their business model is based on cheating and theft, absolutely disgusted.
Booked a room through priceline... when arriving at the hotel it was total ghetto... not like the pictures. It claimed to have a restaurant and casino... in reality they were 3 blocks away. The hotel claimed I had reserved a smoking room... I didn't, they then wanted to put me in a room at the back of the hotel with a window that would not latch shut, I refused and did not complete the check in... priceline stuck me with a $500 non refundable charge... avoid!
There is an option where Priceline gives you the option to pay a certain price and then they pick a hotel out of 3. The hotels vary in prices. Two of the hotels they show would be a major discount if you got that price and then there's the 3rd hotel where you may save like $8. Like a fool, I tried the option twice and both times I got the cheapest of the options. The first time I thought that maybe it was a fluke but they pulled the exact same bait and switch the second time. It seems you will always get the cheapest option so you're not really getting a deal. I contacted them about this bait and switch and was blown off, basically. I don't want anyone else to be suckered by this ploy. Buyer Beware!
I have never been so disappointed in a company. I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, I booked 2 night stay at the Holiday Inn in Calgary, Alberta. On Priceline it was $75.30 a night, I called the hotel their rate was $91.30 a night. So I went with Priceline for the better deal. For the 2 nights and taxes I paid $169.80. While purchasing nowhere on the website stated that i would be charged in USA currency. It wasn't till I looked on my credit card charges i was charged $231.31! That equals to $115 a night. I called priceline and talked to 3 different people and they all gave me the same answer, I can cancel my reservation but get no money refund and be charged a fee. The website should have known my ip address was in Canada and should have shown me Canadian prices not US prises. There was nothing they could do for me.
I would have not booked with priceline if I knew I was paying in US currency
When I checked their website now, it gives me prices in Canadian currency which is now $91 a night same as if I had booked with the hotel. I was very willing to pay that $91 a night Canadian.
This was false advertisement, and custom service were not helpful at all
Booked a hotel through AAA. Unknown to me, it was Priceline. I clicked on the option saying Great Rate and entered
My credit card information. I printed my receipt and was done. Today, my company cancelled my vacation due to a
Team member leaving and I tried to cancel. One hotel they would cancel, this one they would not saying its a noncancellable
Rate. It was never made clear to me that it was a non-cancellable rate. Nor, was it made clear I was NOT
Dealing with AAA.
Rented car in Salt Lake City. One month before I travelled I had to change the reservation. Nope. Nada. No way will they let you cancel. So... I'm going to go to the rental counter and demand my car. After all I paid for it. Why should Priceline get to pocket the money without paying rental car agency. Let's sre how this goes.
I selected a 2-year hotel that ended up being a Travelodge, which looked like a 1-star motel. The Uber driver said it was unsafe (arrests, prostitution, etc.) and urged me to stay elsewhere. I contacted Priceline to request a refund but was denied due to the non-refundable policy. I felt deceived by the rating. I even pointed out Google and Yelp reviews about this shady motel, and they still denied me a refund. Shame on you, Priceline. You have a responsibility to your customers for providing accurate ratings that are representative of the hotel quality.
Horrible experience a gift trip for my daughter and granddaughter and guests. I booked 2 rooms with pricline. They deducted the money from my card and gave us confirmations. They get to hotel they want to charge them for the rooms said they were never reserved by priceline for us. Argued with Priceline for 2 hours. Horrible experience instead of 2 rooms we wound up with 1. The hotel was booked. Never use them again.
I paid for a car rental through Priceline and when I arrived at the Ft. Walton/Destin airport the Budget Rent a Car counter would not give me the car because it was a one way trip with no flight leaving out. As I was waiting 30 mins in line I noticed at least 5 people return keys into a box without any acknowledgement regarding a flight. I was stranded at the airport for at least an hour and 20 mins. I was traveling with my 11 yr old dog as and it was a warm day. DO NOT RENT THROUGH BUDGET YOU WILL END UP WITH S HEADACHE AND POTENTIALLY STRANDED. Priceline chat was helpful except they would not give me the full refund saying theres a cancellation fee of 10 dollars when I didnt cancel Budget did. Now I have to argue with budget more to get my full amount back.
So I booked a flight with Priceline because I thought I got a checked bag. I arrived at the airport and had to pay an additional $120 for my checked bag. I clicked on the baggage policy and was very certain that I could have 1 checked bag on my international flight. There were flights $80 cheaper that had cheaper checked bags than Priceline but again I was certain they had 1 checked bag since they were $80 more expensive than 3 other options. Once I paid an extra $120 for a checked bag, which seems like quite a lot, I called Priceline knowing they would at least match my price. They said they only price match until 24 hours of the flight. So not a fan... won't use them again.
I made reservations and cancelled within 24 hours due to a change of cities according to their policy. A lady called me to confirm my cancellation along with my husband. I confirmed. She told me that they would send him an e-mail and that if he did not respond, his would be cancelled as well. Since I was speaking with her, I confirmed that I had made the reservations and that he would be with me and that indeed his should be cancelled as well. Months later, my husband and I are in Australia and they inform me that reservation was reservation was cancelled but that my husband's is still valid because he did not call them! So, 2.5 hours of me holding for a supervisor - long distance - we still have no resolution except to speak with the airline directly when it is not their fault that Priceline didn't cancel it. We are now out of money for a flight we cannot make and long distance charges to no avail.
They booked us somewhere filthy and refused to offer anything to fix the experience. We even tried to get our money back without staying. The Breakfast area was filthy, the elavator was filthy, the first room smelled like piss and the second room smelled like bug spray with brown stuff at the bottom of the shower. We didn't go inot the room until 2am because it was so nasty and we didn't even use the shower
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
