The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. No refund for my car rental reservation. It's a bad company taking advantage of customers during the Corona Virus outbreak.
I write this post with a sad face. I recently had a horrible experience with Advantage Car Rental, which I paid for through PRICELINE. The rep at Advantage refused to get me my rental car from their Kiosk, there was a note on the rental desk that told me to go there. I took the time to call Advantage and let them know what happened and to report the complaint. Now neither company will take responsibility and get me a refund. Priceline has been unwilling to help with an email address or phone number or have someone call me NOTHING! Please take my situation into consideration, is saving $10 worth this? I recommend not using PRICELINE - go directly to the carrier you are using as Priceline doesn't stand behind their transactions. BEWARE!
Went to Riu Palace Aruba via Priceline, Black mold present. Called Priceline from the hotel. Customer service rep placed us on hold to call hotel. Hotel would answer but would not forward the call to the desk. Told Priceline representative we were leaving because one of us had symptoms. The Riu said Priceline would send them an email and they would refund. After returning home, Priceline refuses to return our money for the un-used nights. Priceline is dealing with a hotel they cant even discuss issues with, advertises the hotel and then leaves you hanging when problems occur. PLEASE for your sake, save yourself the headaches of dealing with a dishonest company like Priceline.
It was necessary to cancel my reservation due to health. The car rental agency was happy to refund my entire fee. Priceline refused to process a refund.
Absolute theft. Reservation made for car rental in July 2019 for April 2020. Reservations not refundable regardless of the Corona Virus. Priceline walks with thousands of customers money without rendering any service. Exploitation of the virus killing Americans all over the country. I will NEVER use Priceline again. May all their greedy self serving executive officers catch the Corona Virus and kick the bucket.
We had a reservation on a rental car March 27th-5th. Due to the Covid-19 we were unable to keep our reservation and wanted to change the dates. Hertz needed an approval from priceline to change the reservation as we had already paid for it in advance but priceline completely refused to allow this. We have used priceline so many times and we are completely disappointed by this and will not be using them again. How can they refuse to even allow us to change the dates on this when all other companies are more than willing to do so to keep their customers happy?
Really annoyed. I was cancelling my flight before PRICELINE deadline at 11:29 PM to get full refund. I was trying since 11 PM to cancel my flight but website was not working. I Call customer and she told me that she had cancel the flight but when I went back to website, the booking still showing. Call customer service again and she told there is no cancellation? Really? I call again and this lady told that it would be hours before i get connected to Airline specialist department. Now, I am stuck. Seriously, I had so many options to book my flight from any other travel agency online. But, I choose Priceline over others. Thats was mistake i made in my life. I am already going other personal issues in my life and now this one more issue to deal.
I will never use priceline again in my life! I went to rent a car through them but when my trip got cancelled and I never picked up the car they charged my card anyway and would not give me a refund.
If I could give Priceline a negative review I would. I made my car rental reservation prior to COVID 19 pandemic. I tried to cancel my reservation through Priceline, but was directed to the car rental place. Went the car rental website and saw that they were very flexible, allowing customers who had reservations directly with them for this time period to cancel. It directed individuals who booked through third parties to call the third party company. Called Priceline and was told that the type of reservation I made could not be canceled and that I was made aware of that during my booking. Fair enough, but how was I to anticipate a pandemic, or stay at home orders? If everyone is changing their policies to accommodate the unprecedented situation, why can't Priceline? I am not asking for a refund, only a credit to be applied to future booking. Shame on you Priceline! I will never use your services again. If you can't show compassion and be more flexible to your customers during times of crisis, what does it say about you?
I would never recommend this website to book or purchase anything from Priceline.Com I rented a car via Priceline.com now I have a problem with the billing I did call their customer services no one is answering their phone, I did try the chat online no live agent only virtual agent. Please do not book Priceline, com they are scammers. I would rather recommend Expedia.com at least they have customer service that is friendly and assists you
I had an extended trip booked through Asia beginning in March 2020. I used Delta Airlines, Air Asia, and Priceline. When the Coronvirus exploded and we had to make changes we began contacting each of the above businesses. Delta was fabulous and made all kinds of adjustments to make our trip home very feasible and very flexible. Air Asia immediately offered us credit or a refund, again fabulous. Then comes Priceline, contact them -- told they cannot do anything must contact the local airlines -- Sri Lankan Airlines. That airlines says because it was booked through Priceline, they must handle the cancellation. (Sri Lanka banned all incoming and outgoing flights to foreigners). Back to Priceline and again -- you must go through the airlines. Airlines back to Priceline. Long story short -- never using Priceline again. Never recommending it to anyone.
I had the same experience as a lot of people on the site! I called and asked to change or refund my car rental due to the Coronavirus! They said they could not refund or change my reservation as Thirfty car rental had not given them any provisions for people who cancel during this pandemic! I called thrifty car rental and as I hadn't booked directly with them it was out of their control! I do understand that but when I called Priceline back I still got the same answer! Even from a supervisor! I filed a complaint with my state attorney general and email a newscaster from my state that deals with these sort of companies! Might not do a darn thing but I am trying my hardest to make sure people know that Priceline is price gauging people and have the most horrible customer service I have encountered during the Coronavirus! I received full refunded from my airlines and the Airbnb I rented!
No sympathy nothing during the middle of the covid 19 breakout. Thanks for charging me full price for a flight that I couldn't take and would have trapped me in California. No option of a change of date or partial refund. Enjoy your money you're stealing from people affected by this. I hope you go bankrupt corporate middleman business.
Never book from their site, worst support ever, they write something on their website and dont follow. Never buy from their website.
Use the actual airlines website, they atleast respond or let you know if they can do anything. Worst ever
BEWARE! We booked a car through Priceline for a vacation to Orlando. Due to Corona Virus, trip had to be cancelled. Called them with enough time to cancel. They absolutely refuse to either refund you or allow you to use at a future date. UNACCEPTABLE! POOR BUSINESS ETHICS. In light of this pandemic, they should be ashamed of themselves. GREEDY, MONEY HUNGRY! I will NEVER EVER use them again!
Good price but no refund so ends up costing more. Booked hotel but Coronavirus came along and of course so refunds. Will rethink.
Upon finding out my conference in DC was canceled due to the out break pandemic, I called to cancel my flight. I explained to several associates that I don't travel and was only going to attend this conference. These people are the absolute rudest and don't care about PEOPLE. All they want to do is work and that is it. I am now left with vouchers that are only good for 6 months or so and I will not be using. Not to mention that my hold time was 47 hours for them to return my call, that's 2 hours before my flight was supposed to leave. I am beyond frustrated that I will not be getting my money back and even more upset on how these agents are treating their customers, with a script they have memorized and that's it. I have a child and could really use the money in this difficult time right now. If I could do no stars I would.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! This company is preying on it's customers because of this virus outbreak. Not only has my travel insurance magically disappeared from my trip in April, which has happened to countless number of people I have talked to, they are changing all my flights causing me to miss the events that I was flying to get to in the first place. When I talk to them about it, they say to call a number. When I call the number, they say they are only dealing with people whose flights leave within 72 hours. Well they changed my flight times to 36 hours later, which means by the time I call 72 hours before my flight, it will actually be 36 hours before my flight. I also have a car rental purchased through them for my original flight, which they also refuse to assist me with. I just want to cancel my flight so I can purchase a new one directly from the airlines, but I can't even get on the phone with anyone. So at this point, it's either take an entirely different trip than I had planned and miss out on all my meetings, or lose $650. They then try to offload the blame to the airlines and remove themselves from responsibility, and even called me a liar when I said my flight insurance was removed from my flight plan. I will never use Priceline again, they are highly unethical and in this time of crisis, screwing over customers and most likely causing customers who are infected with the virus to travel regardless of not feeling well so that they don't lose money. Priceline is assisting the spread of the coronavirus, not trying to help stem it's spread.
I reserved a hotel in Washington D. C. for the 2nd week in May 2020. I purchased CANCELLATION Insurance.
When I called to cancel due to COVID-19 Priceline refused to refund the room and the insurance carrier said pandemics and Government restrictions on travel are excluded from claims.
I am out over $1,000.00\
Booked a rental car through Priceline right before the Coronavirus pandemic. I was informed soon after booking that travel is restricted through the military and tried to cancel right away but they told me to call back within 72 hours of my reservation as phone lines were busy. Tried calling back again a couple days before my trip and was told there was no possibility for a refund even under these extenuating circumstances when ever other company is issuing refunds. Will never book here again
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
