Be careful with Priceline.com! I booked a hotel on 9/16/2010 for $343. After that I never received any confirmation emails. Two days later, I called them but was told the booking on 9/16/2010 was not found in their system so I decided to make another identical reservation on 9/18/2010. When I checked my credit card bill two days ago, I saw the booking on 9/16/2010 was charged. Priceline.com refused to issue any refund. Their attitude is:"We made a mistake but you have to pay for it!" Their customer service is a disaster, very unhelpful and rude.
I will never ever visit their website again. They are just a bunch of cheaters.
Falsely lists closed properties even after I have reported this several times such as The Swan Inn Bridgnorth FREE Parking 24 Hour Self Check-in.
They promote that you can save 40% on flight with name your own price... i have gone so low as to they wont even give 10% on the flight we are gonna need... really bad really untrustworthy promotion..
Why would anyone use this service if they can't even assist you to answer a question as a new customer without first having booked a non-refundable rental? What if I don't want it after the question is answered?
I don't understand this logic but I'm very sorry I wasted an hour of my life when I could have just booked it on Orbitz.
I spoke to supervisor Jared regarding a hotel reservation that had the wrong location and pleaded to help me change it because it was extremely important. Instead of providing solutions he dismissed my concerns by not providing any other options. The following agent, Ica and others did the same. This entire situation was extremely stressful causing me anxiety but the worst was the lack of empathy the employees showed. Not only were they not concerned but dismissive. I have never experienced such a disrespectful situation.
First of all requested a call back. Then I got a question if I still need an assistance press 1 - I did got an answer goodbye and then hand up, second time is the same.
Called my self asked to add my reservation to my account they told me that they cannot help me - all other companies can\help with this Priceline cannot.
Either fix your software or go out of business!
Be advised that for the "name your own price" service, Priceline classifies a king room as double occupancy. That means that, when booking for two people who do not want to sleep in the same bed (perhaps it is a professional trip, or just distant relatives), you should not use the name your own price service. I booked a room through Priceline for two acquaintances on a professional trip, and they gave me one King bed and refused to change it without a fee, even though two queen beds would have been cheaper. Now I am paying more than what the room costs through the hotel directly.
I had financial losses while staying at hotel booked through Priceline and they offered no financial compensation and only offered a 15% off coupon for future bookings with them providing I accepted that verbally over the phone without reading and writing their offer so I didn't know what I was really agreeing to specifically nor would they make any offer unless I agree to it blindly over the phone. I am a VIP gold member with them for at least 7 years and was treated poorly with customer service telling me that's the only way you get any compensation. Won't be using them again
If you are using Google Chrome, and bidding, you had better bid high enough the first time or the site will not acknowledge the increased bid. I generally just give up and go to Hotwire and get it done. They are losing mega bucks on this glitch. It has been going on for at least 2 years. They see you fail and click out of the their site. Do you think someone is really minding the store.
Not!
Priceline doesn't care about me or you. There customer service rep "Dominic" told me directly they provide "customer service" for multiple different companies, meaning he or the first agent I spoke with don't even work for Priceline. This is a sad joke. If Priceline cared they would offer real customer service, instead they fake it by using this terrible company. They were unable to help me with a booking issue. Only telling me, "We can't do this, we can't do that." When I simply asked what they COULD do, I was told, "I am unable to share with you the details of my job". I didn't know I was dealing with the CIA of discount hotel booking. Good bye Priceline after many years of using you. I will now choose not to. Farewell.
Horrible. I booked a 2 night stay in orlando. The hotel agreed to refund cancel reservation due to injury and Priceline is keeping the money. Foreign call center employees are rude, horrible and can't comprehend anything. I was a faithful priceline user since 2003 never again. Do not use them.
I booked a hotel but wanted to just change locations but couldn't and my record show only about refunds only and nothing about switching rooms. No one could not help me so I'm stuck in this hotel until my stay is complete. Yes I could cancel but I would lose money which was stated but could not just change hotels, same name just different location. It has been a horrible experience and will never used priceline again or any other without go completely over the policy. As far as priceline I'm done with them, and to think I've used them to booked my previous hotel, you would think in order to keep a customer happy it find to make some wiggle room. Thanks but no thanks no matter how good the deal is priceline is off my radar.
We waited 3 hours in a huge line for a non-existent car! We flew in at 12 am, made it to the Avis rental office by 12:15... HUGE line!(Some people had already been waiting 2 hours!) We waited until 3:00 am, then called for a Lyft to get us to our Airbnb. I called the next morning at 7 am(thinking I could pick it up finally) I was told there were still long lines. The reason was there were 1700 reservations and they only had a total of 1200 cars (if they had all come in!) I ended up renting from Thrifty, cost me $300 more than I was planning on spending on a rental car. This was a VERY disappointing experience
Never used this company but I now have two fraudulant charges from them.
Tried contacting them everyday possible and cant get through to a human except in a chat where they told me I have to call the number which no one picks up and offers no options for assistance.
Totally screwed up my business trip and refused to fix it. I got the very last seats on plane, by the bathroom, noisiest hotel room, had to pay $17/day to park at my hotel because cheap az Priceline didn't include that in the price, although most travelers' (non-Priceline) parking was included at this resort. Will NEVER use priceline again. Not only did I not save money in the end, they screwed up my travel plans and refused to help me.
Booked a Whistler hotel with Priceline and was showing $145 but till I made payment and then it showed 187$ charged. When I called there was no helpline and only automatic voicemails with absolutely no help. I tried really hard by manipulating automatic voicemails and reached customer care and they explained that it was charged in USD but no where on site or before booking it explained anything about currency and they were absolutely helpless to cancel or issue refund saying it's non cancellable, even when I had called them right away after booking and the date was like week away. Horrible service and disappointed and would never use it again and recommend people to be aware of this usd cad conversion as it looks like they deliberately made it this way.
Priceline is unreliable especially with international flights never ever use them if you want good service. You'll end up losing money and not even traveling because they never check to see if your passport is allowed to go through the airports they put on your itinerary
I tried for over 2 1/2 hours to book a flight - each time it states there is something wrong. I contacted their live chat - NO help. I am very disappointed that the site does not work along with live chat not assisting.
I called to cancel a hotel reservation ($900) due to concerns about Corona Virus 10 days before the time and they refused.
I talked to a very mean customer service. She ended the call without answering my questions. Manager can't answer customers.
Worst ever... Totally all about them and how they can chisel you out of your money!
Have a reservation a month ahead and wanted to get the better rate they posted currently. The rate was over $ 240 cheaper than when I booked for the same car. I didn't try to cancel but just wanted the better rate. Screw you is their policy! Never ever will I go though this company again.
Do not use this money grubbing company. They need to experience this for themselves to appreciate just how P.O.ed I am. Customer service at it's worst!
Answer: The agreed to price is inclusive. I would look at dollar's website before renting from Priceline. There is no layer of protection from prcln.
Answer: With Price Line you may pay a reduced price. However, you get reduced services. Be prepared for hidden costs from the merchant as their ads on Price Line do not include their entire policy.
Answer: I'm not sure what you mean by "receive" the e-ticket. I've booked numerous times through priceline and other intermediaries, but have never received a ticket. I would suggest that you look at the itinerary that you've received from priceline and look for the Airline Confirmation Number (which may be a sequence of letters and or numbers depending on the airline). Then go to the airline's website and look up your flight itinerary. This process also varies by airline, but there should be some menu such as "My Trips" or other itinerary look up option. The airline should be able to find your itinerary based on your name and confirmation number. If your priceline itinerary contains an e-ticket number, you may be able to use that on the airline's website as well. If the airline has your itinerary, you're good to go. You'll be able to check in and get a boarding pass (electronic or print) 24 hours prior to your flight. If the airline has no record of you, then you've got a problem.
The overall reputation of the company reveals significant dissatisfaction among customers, primarily due to issues with booking accuracy, hidden fees, and inadequate customer service. Many reviews highlight frustrations with non-refundable reservations and uncommunicated changes, leading to feelings of being misled. While some customers appreciated the initial pricing, the subsequent hidden costs and lack of support during disputes overshadowed these positives. A recurring sentiment is a lack of accountability from the company, prompting numerous customers to vow never to use the service again. This feedback indicates a critical need for improved transparency and customer support practices.
