There's almost no customer service and very little recourse for buyers who get ripped off. Most of the clothing is overpriced by sellers who don't seem to understand the concept of depreciation. I have not bought anything expensive here and I advise others to proceed with caution. If you're looking for used designer handbags there are resale sites out there that back up the things they sell.
I started selling on poshmark in hopes that I might be able to save up enough to buy my dream purse second hand from their website. Well, I was bullied and harassed by other users. This might be okay if you're a mean girl who likes drama, but I'm too nice for that kind of thing.
Poshmark has the worst technical problems. All the time listings disappear, contact customer service no reply until 24 hrs later if lucky, then they claim something triggered their automated system, and they do restore the listings immediately. There seems to be a LOT of females on this sight who troll and try to cause trouble. Its truly not worth the time to list here unless you are just selling used clothing and can just give it away
I've been a poshmark buyer and seller for almost 10 years. Relatively successful selling and pretty terrible overall buying experiences. More things wrong than right. Most recently bought a pair of jeans that were misrepresented - reached out to posh during the allotted time and was asked to provide additional pictures - and I did. Twice. Now they sent an email saying they've closed the case and I can't return the jeans because I didn't send the pictures! I have the damn emails! Infuriating and not the first time they've done me like this, but it will be the last. Good job losing a decade long customer Poshmark; hope it was worth it.
Don't come here if you want multiple items from different sellers. I can still find things cheaper from other sites that offer free shipping or bundle everyone's into one shipping. I'm not going back for this reason. Plus some sellers don't answer for days and then the product sells.
Without ever selling 1 single item, Poshmark has decided to block my account. I have tried unsuccessfully over the past 4 months to get a response from their customer support team. Nothing. Crickets. I literally did NOTHING and they suddenly decided to block me! Zero SALES! I posted a couple of costume jewelry pieces. That's it. If there were a 0 rating, that would be this!
I bought an item supposedly NWT that arrived used and smelly. The sellers ratings are misleading because this seller appeared to be reputable. Poshmark Support sucks and doesn't respond until after 3 days when the purchase is Auto Accepted in their system even if you don't want it and try to return it. They are unscrupulous and deceitful.
The numerous negative online consumer reviews confirm Poshmark's ongoing, unacceptable, and potentially unlawful business practices. The common theme includes substandard customer service, poor management, no customer service contact number, product misrepresentations, and the sale of prohibited items pursuant to Poshmark's seller policies. Consumers should file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission against Poshmark for deceptive and/or problematic business transactions and request a full charge back to their credit card for merchandise returned or cancelled that was not refunded, for goods not received, misrepresented, or damaged, and for other merchant issues specific to their transaction.
I was conned out of $140.00, the seller blocked me and deleted my comments as soon as I had paid. After 6 daily emails with no response from customer service, it looks like I won't be getting my money back. I tried to cancel but it's not working and there's no safety net in place for customers who get conned like this. Do not buy from Poshmark, try ebay, Tradesy or Depop instead.
I know a seller who was flagged for not dropping her price to a ridiculously low offer, blocked from posting new ads and had her ads removed, making this site s complete waste of time. I think some policy changes are in order shortly.
Poshmark customer service sucks they have done nothing to help.I emailed them approx 6 to 7 times and they send the same email back it seems like a robot answering back. You cannot call them, they do not take calls or messages. Again they suck
I have not had good experience on Poshmark. As a buyer I find that items may take over a week to ship (twice), arrive with undisclosed damage (twice), & orders cannot be returned because of fit (I have been stuck with items I cannot wear three times). I have also sold a few things, but buyers made ridiculously low offers (even though I priced below the sold category on Ebay, they were still looking for a further 50% off!). Poshmark holds the money so you have to request to get it unlike other sites where you get the money direct to you. Fees are high in relation to value. Is there anything I like about this site? Not really... cannot recommend for buying or for selling.
I have been selling on other sites since 2006. I have dealt with many losers but Poshmark takes the cake. I don't believe they even read your questions and 20% commission is very high for terrible service. I'm glad I saved all my emails.
I simply wanted to sell some new men's pants. They don't explain how to list more than one item. I figured I would write in the body of the description we had 5 for sale at X amount each. My listing was "flagged" and I never got feedback, despite waiting for an email for almost a week. Useless. Looking for another platform.
I try several time to get this taking care and their customer service sucks. Not even a e-mail reply. One of the sellers must got my credit card number and made a sale to some shorts for $ 50.00 plus tax that I never authorize. My advice be careful.
All sales are final. Mother in law bought a gift for my son. It was the wrong color and they would not let me return. Very frustrating dealing with them. She thought she was buying it from Walmart so I'm not sure how they managed to link their ad.
I made 2 purchases last week. Poshmark took money out of my account right away. 5 days later, i get an email that "seller changed mind." What?! I guess this is a fairly frequent occurence.
Second item was never shipped and no communication from the seller or poshmark. Now, I'm wasting time emailing everyday trying to get my money back. It seemed like a good deal at the time, but now i know it was all a scam. Really, do not bother.
This is a SCAM- bought a New with tag listed jacket - received a worn one- smelling like food and perfume! Poshmark did not wanted to refund the money! Better pay a bit extra as you will never get your money back if any issue.
I've had a couple of great transactions and a couple to be desired. Essentially, there is no quality control. You can buy something that isn't actually still available because people don't delete their sold items. The biggest complaint is getting an item that isn't remotely as advertised, I. E. in poor condition. It's just annoying from a site referring to itself as "posh mark". And why the hell are people allowed to sell crap from old navy?
I ordered several things that came as pictured and as described, the final item i got was sized xxl but really was size of a medium at best. I purposely don't buy outside the U.S. do to ridiculous sizing issues. I filed s claim it was denied I'm stuck with a shirt I can't wear. Beware sellers don't have to disclose they are selling you cheap small crap from other countries.
Answer: You've got to be smart about shopping online these days. There are scammers wherever you go. That said, if you follow the guidelines and steer clear from trading, which most sites don't condone, then you'll be fine. I've purchased over 100+ items on poshmark and have sold over 90+ with complete success, with the exception of the one time I decided to trade... I've purchased low prices items before and received junk a couple times, but Poshmark ALWAYS refunded me! Maybe I'm super savvy, so here's what I always do: 1. Always checkout the seller's reviews. 2. Always ask if there are any flaws with used items. 3. Always ask if sizing is TTS: "true to size" 4. And most importantly, always ask if it's authentic (unless otherwise specified in the description) These 4 questions have always led me to receiving exactly what I wanted and at half the retail price! Plus, it's so much fun! I've made a considerable amount of income from it, while also adding a nice set of items to my own closet! Good luck out there!
Answer: I have received every item I have ever bought on poshmark. It arrived on time and was in the exact condtion as was promised and how it appeared in the pics.
Answer: Well yes she received the boots and probably didnt like them or they didnt fit etc. she is trying to get her money back by trying to re sell them for 70.00 however she would only get 56.00
Answer: It took a long time, but today Poshmark said they refunded the entire purchase amount plus shipping because the booties I ordered were misrepresented. It took About a month and a half. Two times they offered me small credits toward another Poshmark purchase. I filed a very well documented (12 pages of emails, screen shots of the ad and screen shots of dialogue between me and the seller, Kimology) fraud claim with my credit card company, and I emailed Poshmark's customer service to advise them. Two days later they told me they were refunding my money. We'll see if that happens. Poshmark's customer service is terrible, but persistence paid off. Best of luck to you!
Answer: Ask probing questions: non-smoker? Ever been dry cleaned? How worn is it? Cats? Etc
Answer: I have the total opposite reaction to this question. This mystery group that decides what the outcome will be is ridiculous. You can't talk to anyone, and my last attempt to get support through emails, took one month! Not a fan of learning who the good sellers are by trial and error...
Answer: She probably stalked the other seller's listing and found you commented on the item you purchased. So technically, yes they can see what you buy as long as you commented something on the purchased listing.
Answer: Be careful on posh because they do not have your back. There is a lot of scandalous people on posh. Be careful on ebay as well. I bought a Michael Kors set on ebay that was listed as excellent condition but it was stained and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ebay did not refund my money. They said since it wasn't listed as brand new with tags I was screwed. I was out $315. Who wants a handbag and wallet that smells like shit? I think twice before buying on Ebay since that experience. Shame on the dishonest seller and Ebay for allowing that behavior. Good Luck!
Answer: Have you sent an email to Poshmark support? I have before and they did respond
Answer: You unfortunately cannot return an item if it doesn't fit. It's best to ask the seller the measurements of the item, if they tell you the wrong measurements you can return it. If they will not give you the measurements then don't buy from them. I'm new to selling on Poshmark and I will allow people to return their items if they don't fit because I believe that's what's right, you will find other good sellers!
